Halo MCC: Halo Reach Campaign Mod- Covenant Campaign Pillar of Autumn
Hey peeps and welcome back to another Halo Reach campaign mod showcase! In this video, we will be looking at the second to last level of the mod that reverses the roles in the Reach campaign, allowing you to play as the Covenant fighting against the UNSC. This is Covenant Campaign -Pillar of Autumn created by TheForlornRaven!

Just like the previous levels, this mod takes place in a parallel universe where the members of NOBLE Team were born on the opposite side of the war - making up one of the Covenant's deadly Zealot teams serving the Ministry of Fervent Intercession, in search of rare Forerunner artifacts. Meanwhile the UNSC trains hundreds of 'NOBLE Class' Spartan IIIs to face them. Take on the role of Zealot Team's newest Sangheili, a recently transferred Special Operations Elite known only as Six. Fight alongside the numerous forces of the Covenant armada against the heretical Humans and seek out the holy artifacts that may change the course of the war forever.
This mod is a total conversion of the Halo Reach campaign and includes many changes. Some of them are:
-All Humans infantry, vehicles and weapons have been converted to Covenant equivalents.
-All Covenant infantry, vehicles and weapons have been converted to Human equivalents.
-Each mission has been tweaked to match a player Covenant storyline.
-Allied spawn numbers have been increased to match Covenant numerical superiority.
-Covenant HUD colours and Elite viewmodel added.
-Mission objective text has been rewritten to match a Covenant storyline.
-Balancing tweaks to Human weaponry to account for hitscan more easily hitting the player.
-Small buffs to Covenant weapon damage to encourage players to use thematic equipment.
-Balancing tweaks to the ammo of the Plasma Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Plasma Launcher and Focus Rifle, so you don't run out of Covenant weapons to use during missions.
-Each level has one energy sword hidden somewhere in the map with infinite uses.
-All models in cutscenes have been converted, however they don't animate due to incompatible body types. This means they all look pretty silly, but that should make the cutscenes a lot of fun to watch. Though if you have a good imagination they can still work with the storyline!
I have to say, this level was quite difficult to play through (you may have noticed how many times I died in certain parts). But still, even though it was a little frustrating at times, it was fun to play and reversing roles and playing as the Covies is always fun! I'd recommend giving this mod a playthrough if you have yet to!

@Mr Lion I do know that. I dunno if what I meant is what everyone is thinking though. What I mean is imagine yourself as a Marine knowing that the Covenant now have Elites on the battlefield tearing shit up. How you would feel knowing that the inevitable death that was feared is now on it's way to you.

I love how this attempts to fit into the lore, such as the Pillar of Autumn being the Truth and Reconciliation, and Captain Keyes being Thel 'Vadamee.

Ohhh I didn't realize that was Thel! That makes so much sense.
It started off hella janky, but after a few minutes I realized just how fun it would be to have a one-off mission in a halo game where you play as an Elite fighting spartans and marines.
The cutscenes remind me of a little kid slamming his action figures together to fight and shaking them up and down to talk.
This is a really good idea, I would love to see this in the mission long night of solace. Instead of flying sabers you fly seraphs.

The part that looked the best, just mesmerizing. The music is the finishing touch
I'm sad that there's no boarding ability for vehicles, would've made that 'Wraith' section easier. Also, the Keyes cutscene could be done better, but it's fine as it is.

I was always disappointed that the Arbiter missions in Halo 2 never had you fight against the UNSC.

But fans didn't like that when Halo 2 was first out, they hated Arbiter back then I remember, really similar to they complaining about everything new in the 343 games. I guess the difference is social media was not that popular back then.

Human weapons aren't as powerful in this mod so I tried to avoid using them as much as I could.
So I guess what would have happened before is the covenant got to Halseys lab 1st killed her and stole Cortana and is now being chased by the rest of noble team
Should have made the minor elite a spec ops or zealot

Because their guns are hitscan instead of projectiles, that's exactly why bungie made the covenant have projectile guns, to be more fun/fair to fight against

I haven't played this mod yet, but I have it downloaded and will play through it soon. However, there were some comments on the mod page that suggested that the ODST update might have broken the mod (which is something the mod author had to deal with before as the H3 update broke it before and he had to fix it.) Since you uploaded this very recently, does that mean you played it recently too which means it works on the current version of MCC or did you prerecord these?

Mod needs to give the Marines more vehicles and heavy weapons to make it more challenging. Like more tanks and rocket launchers/snipers.

No this is where the covenant win the battle of reach (which they did) but then destroy the POA so humanity never finds halo
