I just hope the new halo game, if it has mp, it will carry over everything from Halo Infinite. All the unlocks we got, or just everything by playing instead of buying passes, shop bundles etc

The actual solution is for people to stop buying bundles. But I’ve already seen people buy the new $50 dollar one. Halo fans are letting themselves get scammed

At this point 343 should just make weapon variants using models like this. Commando that shoots plasma, Battle rifle that shoots needles, Sidekick that fires mini skewers…. Just something to add variety Infinites missing. You can already change weapon values in forge, why not make it a bigger thing in matchmaking if we’re not getting anymore weapons.

The funny thing is they have experimented a bit with this in Firefight King of the Hill. The one map has a sidekick that shoots like the sniper.

@@stickyfing3rs534 And it duplicates infinitely if you swap on it after the second round respawn. Which is pretty much that map's saving grace in terms of ammo availability. 2 kinetic boxes isn't enough.

I hope the next Halo is a boxed 60-70 dollar game. The F2P cosmetics-driven business model really shot this game in the foot

@@fungi265 Yeah, the design of the Plasma Repeater was pretty cool looking. The concept of a bullet hell plasma weapon that you could vent was a great idea too, just not well executed due to it's extremely low damage output (even against shields). In my opinion at least.

You can’t charge for a new weapon type 👎 But you can charge for cool models of those new weapons 👍 You could bring back the Carbine, and then have weapon models based on the models of various games, banished versions, etc.

Reminder that Infinite has been out since the end of 2021. Three years later and we only got ONE "New" weapon, the fucking DMR. We didn't even get a new vehicle and most of the "New" gamemodes are simply modes that should have been in the game to begin with. The only things actually new are a few maps and cosmetics, most of which you need to pay money to obtain because the BPs are loaded with filler no one cares about. Three strikes 343, you're out...

I've begun to wonder if adding new weapons/vehicles to the sandbox is just a blacklisted subject by Microsoft or XBox because most other things 343 will usually have a response to. If you look at the things that they just dont comment on, its stuff like SBMM (which I think was allegedly made by MS for Halo and Gears), store pricing (I think Sketch may have said that the feedback is passed along), new vehciles and weapons seem to join those 2 and probably others that are seemingly gag ordered. If there are not going to be any new additions, you would think they would just say it like they did when they increased store prices due to cross core. It's not like cheating where if you disclose too much, you kind of ruin it by giving cheaters a chance to respond. The silence on certain issues is just really weird.

New weapons are also, a lot harder to make than just model swap Like, honestly i’m soo disappointed with how they botched the massive upswing they got from season 4 and 5, n now we just have these stupid operations with less earn-able cosmetics more now than ever Like jeez how did they mess it up? Probably some higherups felt they could make stuff more profitable or some crap Also dont blame f2p, blame them doin f2p marketing completely wrong, I honestly hope the next game has a f2p MP means more players, but it needs to be done right, maybe have a big bundle that costs like 40 bucks but contains hundreds of cosmetic items you can earn as if it was a retail release Like whoever is in-charge of the store pricing and making everything bundles is the issue, the f2p would be fine, if they sold individual items And inky every now n then have a bundle of stuff like a whole armor set at most being 15 to 20 dollars, but most importantly having all the items being available for purchase seperately Heck just goin back to req packs would be preferable for a f2p game, req packs but with different armor pieces would be nice I dont think it’s too late for infinite to actually get new weapons , since whatever is next is probably a good few years out Game rlly had a lot of issues, like being rushed out the door, the campaign being open world, the length of time it took to fix mistakes from launch, sure the game feels great, but these operations and the good stuff being from the shop just sucks Idek if there is a team who can make new weapons for infinite after the layoffs, and i imagine all new hires will be put on teams to work on future games Also how hard is it to make it where we can apply coatings to alien vehichles and weapons? I agree with you're frustrations but new weapons not coming to the game has nothing to do with charging people money. At once point there was over a dozen weapons in various stages of development according to Surasia, Delta and all the other accurate leakers. What happened is when new 343 management took over after year 1 of Infinite (right before the winter update hit) the decision was made to just start work on the next game incase Infinite couldn't make the come back and that meant taking resources away from stuff like weapons and vehicles. The Bandit was basically done at the time which is why we got it a couple months later and the Flacon and Mutilator/Enforcer were about half way done at the time when that decision was made which is why there's still a chance (even though slim) we could still get one or both of those, the Falcon and Mutilator/Enforcer had continued to be worked on all the way up to about 6 months ago with new leaks at the time showing continued dev progress. A lot of the maps were also very far along which is why we had a good amount of dev maps in year 2. Realistically Infinite has been winding down since the beginning of year 2 (when new 343 took over). They kept enough people on Infinite to flesh out a couple seasons and make good on promises they made like some crosscore, the networking etc but thats it. Make no mistake they pulled the majority of the team off Infinite years ago. It sucks Infinite started getting good right as they really started winding down hard after season 5 but as much as it sucks now it is for the better, the damage done to Infinite's reputation in the general gaming space was not repairable. The good news is the new game already has almost 3 years in development.

I don't really think having the next Halo be a premium product will really do anything to change things and here's my reasoning: one the cat is already out the bag when it comes to the sheer amount of cash the game made even though it was free to play. So I don't think they'd go back to paid MP when they can have a free one and make more cash that way. The second reason I don't think having multiplayer being paid will change anything is because COD is a paid MP experience and that game is absolutely slammed with premium bundles to milk as much cash as humanly possible. They also get new content on a regular basis and I think Halo infinite could've done that too but they simply wasted so much time playing catch up that by the time they were in a good place to add new weapons it was already time to move on to developing the sequel. Basically I think mismanagement is what has lead to Infinite being barren of new weapons and even if the next Halo MP is $60 it'll be the same old story when it comes to the shop and post launch weapons/vehicles. Unless they go in with a game plan of post launch content we'll just be sitting there playing with the same few guns for however many years

As someone who doesn’t main halo, this isn’t an issue when content is provided … being a live service game isn’t the problem with halo, it’s that they forgot about the LIVE from the LIVE service game

For the longest time, I argued that the pro players were the reason we didn’t get another weapon. This is due to sandbox balancing. Your point about how much they can charge for a new skin is difficult to disprove.

343 should just do free weapon attachments in the battle passes. That's better than a bunch of weapon models you have to pay for.

You said the reason right there, new weapons require Modeling\1st person animation\3rd person animation\VFX\balancing\playtesting(and more balancing and playtesting once released) Weapon models only require the first step. I'm sure they have the resources but Microsoft isnt willing to dedicate a pipeline to a game when they can have them cook up whatever money scheme they have in the new game. It sucks, I never bought the campaign, I said I would wait until I played the multiplayer 6months to a year when they add new weapons(lol) and splitscreen(LOL). As a result, I've been playing off and on since launch and never paid a dime. I was about to buy the season 2 pass too and grind up my pass money but 343 deleted seasons. It's like they don't want a player that values campaign/unique experiences. They want dress up $player$ only.

Dude, what’s going on at upper management with all these projects?! Shop items, not a surprise at this point. What a sham. They found a way to kill a franchise that was one of founding launch titles & original Xbox sellers. Greedy corporate misguidance.

I Hate the Halo fan base man. A couple of months ago people were saying Halos back after the supposed money hungry leaders left. But like this is worse than it ever was. After two years, I finally quit playing Finite and moved to COD. It actually rewards me for my time and it's a full game.

What’s crazy to me is Halo 5 shown that you can have weapon attachments on the base gun and it still be considered a different gun entirely… hear me out, but we get Halo 5’s sandbox model cause that actually had TONS of weapons despite them being variants of a different gun.

Reason why they can't add new weapons is because of coding issues for Halo Infinite especially if they try to shoot a new kind of weapon it might crash/break the game because Slipspace engine is so complex and more difficult to learn than UE.

Love halo but I Uninstalled, content doesn't even drop, the community is basically doing the devs jobs keeping the game alive, now battle passes aren't a thing and moved those cosmetics to the item shop, while these operation passes are filled with absolutely nothing. Tragic bc I was optimistic. Time to wait for the next halo game

These weapon models are awesome, but I feel that they're arriving rather late to the game! We didn't see any any new ones until season 3, and I'm a big fan of the recent banished style models. That said, we know that the new Grav'Shotgun is ready for release, and that the spiker, fuel rod and another shock gun are present in the game files: 343 LET US PLAY WITH THEM. It don't matter if you keep them loaded, we'll find our own ammo as we go.

Yeah, this is one reason I've given up on Halo Infinite at this point, after years of interest and support. The only part of the game that actually developed to live service is Spartan Dress-up Simulator. Everything else got to release level quality then 343 threw in the towel and said "yeah good enough, now you guys better get really excited for Halo 7 baby! Unreal engine baby! You guys excited for Halo 7 huh?? We're hiring, here look at these job postings!"

I mean, didn't 343 state they consider Halo Infinite content complete months ago? I have no hope for new weapons or vehicles to come to the game. 343 are cooking on the next experience.

Yeah my hope for a new weapon or vehicle has completely dwindled, but these models could be new weapons imo. I know 343 are working on the next Halo game, but surely one or 2 people from the sandbox team could make one. We're starving bro. I don't think they understand how that works. They can't just declare their game to be complete after it just started to get good and then keep throwing overpriced shop items at us as if the game was still getting sufficient content. I get that it's probably not 343's decision, but it doesn't matter. The games still bad and it has literally no excuse to be bad. Whoever put Halo in this situation is not going to get away with it.

You can't use the free-to-play live service model for monetization and then turn around and use the pay-to-play no-service model for playable content.

We need to do what Helldivers did to Sony, but for Halo and 343/Microsoft.

They don't have a sound designer on their staff right now. I don't think we will get new weapons or vehicles until there is a sound designer present at 343.

The craziest thing is that Phil Spencer and 343i employees absolutely 100% see these videos, people like Ghost, Mint Blits, Act Man, HiddenXperia etc.. all saying the same things and giving solid advice on how to improve Halo and they still blatantly ignore the fan base. It doesn't make any sense 🤔. That's like going to a 5 star restaurant, ordering a steak medium rare because that is how you like it and the waitor saying "no you will have it well done and you will prefer it that way" 😂.

The fact that you mentioned a new halo game makes me think that this game's lifespan is already done and settle with. I agree if that's what the community also thinks since there hasn't been an actual good update imo.. just customization and fixes. Few maps have been added but that's all there seems to be. No crazy game modes, weapons, or even Story DLC ever being mentioned. 343 just doesn't know what to do except understand that C.R.E.A.M. is always going to be on top.

To me it would have been pretty easy to turn that into a new ar variant but instead we just get a skin

Honestly that reason why we don't have new weapons sounds ridiculous, seriously if this was the case we wouldn't have the game free at all. they can't charge for an actual weapons but they can for new cosmetics. they can just throw in a couple remodels and a coatings for it and people will buy them like anything else in the shop.

Infinite went from the most “focused” Halo sandbox on launch, to the most boring. We needed fun, not extreme balance and priority. I wanted wacky stuff like that Brute Shotgun with the mini-gravity hammer attached to it that was found in the files. Halo should lean more into that weird balance between dark and wacky. More weapons like the Needler. Imagine a Banished weapon called the “See-Saw” that fires sawblades, which can actually cause vehicles to move in different speedy directions since the blade would have physics. Or maybe a Forerunner weapon called the “Spatial-Discombobulator” that just teleports people around to random spots on map as a sort of “begone” weapon; imagine teleporting a Scorpion into the sky and having it land on a player!

I love you ghost but seriously it had been obvious when they announced operations for S6 in the live stream and them announcing a new Halo game that it is a skeleton crew. Why would 343 put any effort in a new gun when the community will simply bash them?? , they have no devs to make or release said new guns, or have play testers try them out? Sure 343 could do the R6 route and make TS (test server) but that's more resources wasted that 343 can't monitor unlike Ubisoft who can. It has nothing to do with money, yes the prices are bad but Infinite is on life support thanks to the community and the new management abandoning Infinite in Year 2. 343 admitted why they need to jack prices and understand the frustration but their hands are tied. $40 for 2 or 3 bundles priced in 1 is a better deal than other games' mega bundles.

The issue isnt that they are making new weapon models the issue is that they are devotimg 90% of their resources to monetizing and 10% on QOL and forge content. Its not a fair split if we had 2 weapons or sandbox items ,, a new map and new game mode aswell as forgemaps every operation itd be a different story

From third party tracker data it seems that Infinite has found it plateau of players, and I'm gonna guess that some one higher up made the decisions that actually adding content to their game or even fishing it won't bring player back so they gotta milk whose left in order to recuperate the half a billion dollars old management burned in a oil drum. Remember that this game cost half a billion dollars to make and has been 'Live" for over two years, PD3 (the current in vogue doping the launch ball) has added more stuff in less then year the Infinite has in over two and a half years. we all know Infinite will remain the biggest flop in video game history for a while(half a billion dollars is a high bar to beat), but dose who ever make the final call of these decision have to twist the knife letting the players know their the one that have to pay the price of people like Bonie ross incompetency.

The next Halo will in all likelihood be Free-to-Play. There's just far too much money in F2P Vs retail + DLC. I'm a huge Halo fan, but I'm completely rubbed the wrong way with how Infinite was treated and how they pulled back on the "10 Year Plan". How can I invest my time and even money into a game, when I can't trust them to not do a rug pull.

The helldivers community just came together and made Sony change a bad decision but people in the halo community we can’t stop buying stuff from the store (I did but some stuff in the past and I regret a couple of my purchases, we should really stop buying these stuff)

There have been leaks for new ai since like season 2 I think. All the voice lines exist but we haven’t gotten them yet.

Halo Infinite is still definitely suffering from a lack of additional new weapons and vehicles. When the game first launched I thought that the weapon and vehicle sandbox could do with more additions. The fact that the bandit (DMR) has been the only addition since the game released is such a letdown as I've been wanting them to add various weapons and vehicles such as the fuel rod gun, grenade launcher and the falcon. Spot on with the analysis and explaining in this video, keep it up.

I haven’t bought anything in the store since they stopped doing seasons. Would likely buy the current banished bundle helmet if it was separate. It’s one thing to have bad prices, but another to be so bad a monetization that they are actually losing money. Glad I’m done with 343. Will just stick to the og halos.

The main reason why you’re not getting a new weapon is because they’ve stopped development for the game so they’re not recording new voice lines and there’s no sandbox lead to balance a new weapon

They can release new weapons, and then skins for that weapon

Ive said it a few times if the next game is FTP or is live service remotely like halo infinite it will be the first halo i do not buy and ive been day 1 since the original i put my money where my mouth is and im not gonna stand by and just take this bs. 343 actively avoid the criticism levied their way and they are transparent as a brick wall. As a person who has moved from CoD to Halo, it unfortunately doesn’t surprise me. In CoD nowadays, you had cosmetics that were either cool or just didn’t match the vibe of CoD, yet people would still cough up money to buy them. Same thing here in Infinite (although CoD’s pricing isn’t as bad as Infinite) I swear the moment these bundles come out you’ll be seeing someone with them the first match you hop in. Ultimately, while it does suck, it’s the unfortunate truth.

That's the problem with modern development teams. No one's gonna do something unless it's specifically what they get paid to do. Yeah, pretty much anyone at 343 could finish up the Falcon all by themselves, but that's not what they get paid to do, is it? That's the Lead Game Designer's job. But they don't have a Lead Game Designer.

@@emperorfridgethedude yeah and I could buy some layoffs being potentially necessary but the amount we saw I really think was mostly due to studio/publisher missteps and they foot the bill for it. Microsoft laying off whatever campaign team there was at 343 post launch of Halo Infinite was a bad move.

this extends to all the cosmetics - the art team at 343 is doing amazingly, but the wow factor is so easily set aside because the wow factor is only there for people willing to break out with their wallets and pay $30. the worst part is, there's a lot, and I mean a LOT of armor pieces and weapon models I'd love to get and use, but considering how I have to pay to get anything cool, it's just not worth it. and especially for the playable content we're getting in return, it feels more like we're throwing money into a blender and hoping for a smoothie. To buy all cosmetics in halo infinite costs thousands, and just the last few updates have added over a hundred dollars to the shops total value - each. it's disgusting how much money they're asking for only to turn around and not give us anything new in return.

I wouldn't say it's because it free to play more like the did free to play wrong for example warframe wich is more or less the best example of free to play all cosmetics are able to be purchased and even there premium items come back around and even there premium currency is tradable so if you want you don't have have to spend a single dime on the game

Damn, you've been so positive in your videos, but there is no positive turn in this one. I don't like we're hitting this low. Like, I like the weapon models being such adrastic change, and banished versions of everything is right up my alley But as we learned in the yappening if you want it all be ready to buy multiple bundles. I said that season 5 was the winter update 2. I just didn't think 343 would throw in the towel and turn infinite into a credit card swiper simulator.

So, I am not going to defend the atrocious prices nor the fact they lock items to bundles unnecessarily BUT I don't think 343 has any sandbox designers dedicated to Infinite anymore, so their logic is "well let's at least give the players faux new weapons in the form of cosmetics. It's better than nothing" That said, they should be giving some of these away or at least putting them in the Exchange

You guys complain about atrocious prices yet Halo 3 only had 11 maps and each map pack was $40. Halo infinite by comparison has about 20 maps for FREE, and you could just spend that $40 instead on Armour.

Why...why no new weapons...? They weapons we have now loos great but we want the Magnum pistol back, the OG shotgun back, the carbine and many other classic weapons
