343i, I feel like they can never get solid leadership. Leadership that cares about what the developers AND players want. It's one thing after another with their management. It fucking sucks because I KNOW they can put out solid content, but every few steps they go forward, it's another few steps back to square one. After Infinite, I really fucking hope there'll be, at least, one executive that takes that into consideration. AND that they would stay. Staten, I'm looking at you.

@@craig9365 Exactly. Like, the only people who majorly matter are the people making decisions. If the only thing someone does is code what they're told, they're not as important as someone who's choosing what to code for instance since anyone can just do what they're told to do

I have zero hope and will give them no chance. The problem is when you have such bad leadership and a toxic environment for so long, it becomes engrained in the culture. The only way I could consider giving 343 Incompetences another chance is if literally everyone was fired, the people in charge were passionate, a name change, and retconning everything made after 2011.

Now I have some hope that they would make a good halo game, but they still need to change their name because that names has so much negatives that if they do release a game, no one will play it. So they should change their name to something like Zeta Studios.

90% of cutscenes are in dark room with chief and weapon talking. Halo 2 anniversary cutscenes are nextgen compared to this

@@xnire not to argue.. But halo 2 had some of the darkest and most poorly lit levels out of any halo game. Like even on max brightness some of thoes halo 2 lvls are litteraly like walking in a void of blackness. Halo 3 odst is prety crappy too when it comes to this issue but the few lvls in halo 2 that have this issue make roaming around in the city as rook look like a lightbulb store. Like no joke sum areas on sum lvls in halo 2 are so dark you cand even see the fkn walls. Yea we have flashlights, but still its really bad. Also halo ce has 8/10 missions that take place in a building or room. 9 if you include silent cartogapher. I wasnt going to count 2 betrayals but it mostly takes place indoors too so... yea. As for halo 2 it has like atleast 8/15 lvls that take place indoors. And sacred icon being that 1 infamously dark level from halo 2 in some areas.

its hilarious how this is allowed to happen to xboxes biggest franchise i mean they wonder why they cant sell thier dumbass consoles and then this is how it just goes on behind the scenes as head of microsoft gaming i would go in there every few months myself to check on this shit and see if it ACTUALLY works

After seeing how Halo Infinite turned out, I don't trust them to make good games at all now, so much so I'm not putting any expectations for Hellblade 2 which a couple years ago I was so excited for

Honestly, I think that between what's going on with the Halo tv series and the game Halo infinite plus the confusion goings-on with the master chief collection, I swear they were trying to kill off the whole Halo universe. 1 . By not hiring creative staff that has complete working knowledge of the games and novels. 2. Not having leadership that's has passion and working knowledge and experience in the world of Halo . 3. The greatest mistakes are not getting the fans' input and not having the passion and concerns for their thoughts and experiences and what we want from Halo in a whole. 4. The corporate mind of money over people and profits over quality not understanding poor quality equals poor product and poor profits. It's crazy that it's a whole generation who knows nothing about master chief, and the Halo universe is now in charge of continuing the legacy. 😅😅😢😢 I'm afraid that Halo is destined for the 2.00 bin of forgotten games, and we will never see master chief in the big screen movies as we hoped for.

Halo Infinite can never happen again. Halo 7 has to be a masterpiece. 343 can’t fumble again or the franchise is toast. It kinda already is

Can we get a cross reference on the no external testing policy? Another source to verify that? If that’s legitimate, then that’s beyond insane, and a miracle the campaign is functional at all. Hopefully, all of those developers got out and finally have a jobs worthy of them 😓

Sounds like at the top, Halo Infinite's campaign was a passionless cash grab.

This has nothing to do with the previous leadership every content this game got with the new leadership was already on the way with the old leadership, 343 Industries is never going to change.

Tbf, by "very legitimate" I'm pretty sure he just means that it's someone that he knows worked closely on Halo Infinite, not necessarily someone who has a ton of unique insight on it. As for why he doesn't say who it is, I can imagine it's for that person's own career safety. Companies rarely want to hire someone who's willing to tell the public how poorly they're running the ship, so it's not uncommon for devs to ask to remain anonymous.

Inside sources (the devs) operate anonymously almost always to protect themselves from violating their non-disclosure agreements. Nobody is expecting them to reveal their names or online alias. My point was, we’ve already known pretty much all this information for months now from other channels covering Halo. It’s been such a shit show that non-Halo channels were covering it. Everybody knows what everybody else knows. So to make a little video with all the same information we’ve had at our fingertips for months now is just regurgitation. It’s not news. It’s recycled information. & it’s pretty sus when you repeat that you have a “legitimate source” multiple times throughout. Almost like you believe the more times you say it the more likely we’re going to believe that you have some special person you know that is or was on the inside. So try again, Rebs.

But I have a large following on Twitter that includes current and former halo developers, and the co creator of halo. This has allowed me to speak with sources who worked on Halo. These sources felt the need to share what happened with 343 because of how mismanaged it was.

I wonder if "morale boosts" help at all in creative jobs though. Hackathons seem like a good way to free the mind for a bit to create new ideas so that creativity isn't stagnated. I agree though that it's not just leadership that should be blamed, considering how a bunch of people who don't even like the franchise have been hired to change everything in Halo into something that's not Halo

Notice I said “it’s 343’s best” not “it’s the best” Halo infinite has plenty of problems but it’s far from 343’s worst halo game. In fact, it can be a lot of fun. I enjoy it in its current state even if it doesn’t hold much of a candle to the Bungie titles

Halo 5 is littered with problems like the rest of their games, but outside its horrendous movement mechanics, it doesn't have the fundamental problems Infinite has festering in virtually every component of the game. H5 is their best game, even if it's a 5/10. Having "fun" is not an adequate measurement for whether a game is their best game.

Whatever it does right is hindered and buried by the dozens of related things it does wrong. The game is foundationally flawed in a way many fans refuse to accept because the game has a veneer of classic philosophy.

At what point will we protest? It has been over a decade and we sit here with our thumbs up our butts and watch content creators give free publicity to the same people who BETRAY US (not this channel). We cannot rely on Hidden, UberNick, ActMan, HaloCanon, Ghost, or any other creator to be our voice anymore. They are either checked out, or blindly supporting 343 with little to no remorse. 343 has gone through bashing from every corner of KZread content creators, even by the one who aren't focused on Halo. They gone through bashing on other socials as well. None of that stuff matters unless unless Microsoft themselves steps in, and they likely won't because Microsoft as a whole has been on the decline. Xbox exclusives in general have heavily declined in quality and their only solution is to just buy studios. They been content to just milk Xbox Game Pass for money. Gears of War is in an even worse state than Halo and they are letting it die. Unless Microsoft has a big shake up, 343 is going to continue going on as is. Just replacing developers as they leave or are layed off, rinse and repeat till the next game drops. Even with the hit they have taken to player count, which definitely effects revenue, they still squeak by without changing anything.
