Why are stories in games so often better then in multi-million dollar movies?

Movies today are designed for brainwashing. Video games do that too, but there has to be much more entertainment in order to sell . Much better artistic freedom and art aloud in video games. Hollywood is run by the elite . Period

It is cause of the interactivity, instead of ust watching ssomething happen, we experece the world, we take part im the story, and thusbwe get n bigger commitment to the story the plot and the poeple

never played the game but i'm a huge sci-fi sucker and i'm taking this in like a delicacy. I love it.

This is what I wanted when they were talking about a Halo TV Show.

@@ominous-omnipresent-they I like to imagine that the aliens aren't speaking English. And the only reason we hear them in English is for our own quality of life.. Since it would be annoying to hear a made up language constantly and be reading subtitles. Almost like they did in The Vikings TV show, Most of the characters just spoke English and it was interpreted that they were speaking their native tongue.

45:24 cracks me the hell up 🤣 ! Hands down one of the best characters in the series!

I have never played the game, but I am LOVING this! It's been a long time since I've watched a movie where I had to pause and go make popcorn. The quality of the graphics are blowing me away. Because I'm hard of hearing I lip read, and the way they have the mouth movements synch up is really impressive. Combined with the subtitles I don't feel like I'm missing anything. We've come a long way from Tron and Ghost in the Shell, eh?

Absolutely fantastic. Brings John Spartans evolution up to date so far. And with Atriox on the scene does it spell doom for the Covenant and the Spartans or a new turn in their histories . A possible end for The Covenant and the Spartans or will they come together against Atriox. Watch this space folks. New things are afoot.

I don't care what games come out in the future. I do know HALO is one of the best games ever released. Very big boots to fill indeed. That was a fantastic watch. As good as it could be considering that it's just clips from the games. Will Microsoft & 343 ever release a true HALO film?? That would be awesome.

What would happen if they taught spartans to use more acrobatic fighting techniques like the flying armbar despite the weight difference between them and normal humans. Imagine a spartan getting a brute in a armbar or leg/head lock. Jeez. That'd be devastating.

Budget is nothing, passionate people is the key. You need a dircctor that grew up with the game and loves it, the same as Peter Jackson loved The lord of the rings.

Atriox and his villain arc is wholesome. What could be expected of him when he was born through fire, he could only believe he was meant for greatness. So unique to see the covenant create their own demise

damn these game movies are 100x better than blockbuster movies and even hollywood im so hooked, thumbs up

now this is the kind of movie fans want to see and experience and I will always watch a lot .

anyone else notice that in the earlier games the player played thru the action and cinematic where a story thing but in 5 the player watches a lot of cinematic fights that could have been actual in game things the player could have plaid thru

Perpetual plot armor is in Jerome's case as well. There's no way his armor has an AI slot, he's wearing MK IV, and the MKV's were the first ones to have that option, secondly the plasma weapons should've ripped straight through him since he doesn't have shields. He's got more plot armor than Chief.

"To give the Covenant back their bomb." God I miss my childhood, Halo was top tier.

Baffles me how a lot of people don't realise the majority of these clips are cutscenes from the games. This isn't a "movie" but rather a recollection of the story thus far told by various mediums - hence why it seems that some context is completely missing and scenes just cut to another unrelated as if an hour of gameplay took play in between. Awesome watch though :)

I have SO MANY questions. What game was the first part with atriox and the banished? Why didnt that storyline seem to finish before they cut to the next game's scenes? What happened with that one ship fighting the banished? What happened after gravemind started asking cortana questions? What did he ask her? What game was that at the very end where atriox beat master chief? Is master chief dead now? Honestly this video was more aggravating than it was entertaining

I can't believe the show didn't try to replicate this Cortina in their show. It's perfect and it's what we know.

What was needed was a completely CGI-made TV-series. Perhaps a collab between Blur Studios (who made the Halo 2 cutscenes in the remaster), and the directors/writers from Arcane. Further more, also bring in the OG-writers and directiors from Bungie (albeit Microsoft would probably never allow that consider how bad the break-up went, and now they belong to Sony). That would make it easier to make over the top action scenes more believable, they would be able to keep all the "correct" art-style (which imho is the Halo 2 art-style), and most importantly, be able to use all correct/proper voice actors for all the characters.

At 2:07:48, Master Chief looks at him in the way because the young lad is unaware of the threat that is bigger than everyone on earth. Earth is fragile, the life forms upon it are delicate. A balance is in the self maintenance effect.

I guess I didn't see Halo from the beginning because I didn't understand this movie AT ALL. It jumped around so much that it was hard to tell what was going on and what the timeline was. Except that Nathan Fillion was in it towards the end this movie would be a thumbs down for me.

Now I got full clips of Halo, just need to find out a Halo ring for me

It would be nice if halo implemented puzzles into the campaign when dealing with forerunner constructions. Just seems like the kind of security measures necessary to have as security measures for non forerunner beings to be restricted from access to any volatile technology and access.

i like how humanity is the biggest threat to all life on galaxy, not to be doomer but seems really fking realisic on all recorded human history.

Actually in the halo universe it was the covenant whose principal goal was to activate the halo array and destroy the galaxy and all life within including themselves.

cutting out the scene with chief and Cortana in the bubble. big mistake, that is such a powerful scene for both characters.

You can see Nick’s other epic battles in Star Wars the newer movies.
