We coulda done what star wars has been doing, which is to just stay within this timeline. Tell a different story during the covenant war and not run it pass its course and introduce a new villain nobody asked for.

There is no air in space, so sound cannot be transmitted. It cannot be the sound of the ship at the beginning of the movie. What kind of effect did they do?
