But everything about Halo 3 was awesome, so that's why I used to love Halo Don't you fucking dare let me near a Halo 5 disc. Unless we playing multiplayer, I will snap that thing and smash it with a hammer. I will then burn it into ashes. I will then snort said ashes. If I were to shove my shit into an Xbox, it would still be better than the campaign. The multiplayer is alright though.

I’m 53 now… playing this game in 2007 when I was 38…. My sons were asleep, having helped them with homework, finished coaching soccer, another long week over… the wife asleep, and I was alone to focus, to do whatever it took to save mankind, with Cortana at my side.

Conner nah man bungie also has a whole lotta blame in this. They had a $500 MILLION catastrophe. I was there at launch, pre ordered it, played the beta that was so popular the servers crashed, all for arguably one of the worst stories in gaming. A big lie, and in case you havent noticed Bungie left activision a while back and still never recovered. Hell Destiny has only gotten worse without Activision. The bungie we all knew and loved died along with Reach.

On January 13, 2022 Halo 3 and Halo: Reach saw their last matches on the Xbox 360 servers. This marked the end of an era of two of the best games to be released in my lifetime, as many of the viewers of this OST can agree. @@specmage1247 not quite, it was cheap solder that was used for the units made the first two or three years. This is why the home "fix" of wrapping it in a towel could rarely work, as it could remelt the solder balls, and maybe get a connection going again. (I've only ever seen it work once though, so it falls under the almost never category of success rate) The issue was largely fixed in the 2009 and later units by changing their solder, but by then there were so many units with the cheap stuff in circulation that the curvy 360's reputation was tainted by the RROD. I still have a 360 Core from 2010 that still runs great (for a 360 at least). The issue was virtually nonexistent with the S and E models.

The new Halo games can’t even compete with this legendary soundtrack let alone this game.

When I hear this I think about playing halo in my room with my older brother. My mother was alive at the time and I was enjoying my childhood, taking halo more serious than I should have. Not a single regret. I'm 24. Some of the best memories I have. This music is SO powerful. Thank you Bungie

I feel you man. I’m the same age and this game makes me think about times when me and my step brother would just fuck around in custom games before we actually got Xbox live. Playing the campaign all day on heroic/legendary. Great times.

I was the same! My older brother and I went through Halo 1 to Reach together on split-screen, very serious business of course! Martin O'Donnell really made the series with this music. I am sorry about your mother, may she rest in peace. Happy to know another kid was out there beating the Covenant with the big brother, even if us younger siblings were better at Halo than they!

In the same boat brother. Playing halo CE and then mum died late 2005. Ill always remember finishing it on legendary with my brother baring in mind I was only 11 at the time and her being so proud of me. She always encouraged us to play video games but did so in a way that meant we also spent valuable time outside. She was the purest person to walk this earth. Never forget.

Being a teen during this era was really great. Halo 3 in its' absolute prime.

First game I booted up when my parents got me my 360 for Christmas and I still vividly remember the pure joy I felt that night. Now as an adult, the nostalgia this game makes me feel is almost heartbreaking.

its Christmas morning in 2008, you have an xbox 360 and an xbox, you played and loved halo 1 and 2, your parents are poor so you arent expecting much and will be grateful for what ever they got you, you open a present shaped like an xbox 360 game and its... HALO 3! you were wanting this game for over a year, it looked like the best halo game by far, but you knew you probably weren't going to get it cause it was to much money, but you finally had it.

As a 13 year old I still cry to this soundtrack and Halo 3 today, I remember my dad showed me this game when I was young.Halo 3 was the very first game I played and it will forever be my favorite game of all time to this day, I still even play this game prior to the games great story and memorable soundtrack. Thank you Bungie.

Can’t believe I was 7 when this game came out and at that time halo was still my favorite franchise and I didn’t even know what life really was…. Those times really were the best, and sometimes I wish I could rewind right back to a simpler time without stress or worry and just freely gaming with my friends I met through Xbox life.

His first, and last appearances are some of my favorite moments in the Halo franchise.

This stuff gives me the chills and memories of when I first played Halo 3. Memories that I won't be able to relive. The first and last only happen once so cherish your first moments and every moment because who knows, it might be your last.

Ahh yes. 2007, school started. The game came out and all the guys in high school secretly created an unground Halo team/group despite their social status in high school. The jocks played with the nerds and every iteration in between. It was this community of guys who didn’t want the girls to know. But we all enjoyed it under the radar. Never Forget.

These moments we see the true beauty, the beauty we took for granted. Thank you for making my childhood so memorable. We were truly very lucky to grow up with such a culture. All that is left is our story and our memories.

This soundtrack and World of Warcraft's soundtrack... Nothing compares. Oh, where did the time go...

Marty left us this incredible soundtrack that's able to take a lot of us back to a simpler time, brings about some great memories of playing xbox with the boys at your friends place, staying up until the sun came up. I'll never forget how much fun I had playing this game, and the fun times I had with my friends.

Games today are about all cosmetics and dancing emotes... But those who have played the trilogy are true Legends who does not carry about emotes

The intro is simply amazing. I can literally see what happens on screen along with the music and i haven't played the Halo 3 story in a decade at least. Its the kind of thing that makes you shed a manly tear because you know something great follows.

My friends always make fun of me for listening to video game soundtracks but there's just so much taste in these amazing compositions. How could I not? I should be making fun of them for listening to rap but I know that's really popular among this generation so I can't really say anything other than I just have advanced taste.

Halo 3 and Cod4 modern warfare two of the most iconic games that defined 2 incredible franchises and defined a whole generation of gaming.

Lofi aint got nothing on this for study music!

Hard to believe I was only 13 when this came out and I played it all night until the campaign was over on a school night it was also my birthday good times I will never forget going to my friends house so we can all play halo together, hot Cheetos and Mountain Dew was our diet

It is like a gem that is hidden in this world and it only chooses to find you and not the other way around..

To be fair, I started playing Halo 3 when I got MCC (which was 2 months before). I think many would agree with me - the starting music of Halo 3 feels like an ending music for a modern game. And believe me, the Halo 3 ending music WILL MAKE YOU FEEL EVEN BETTER. There is NO other comparison of soundtrack which Halo 3 has, aside all the other Halos.

I was only a year old when this came out, however I started playing this game when my brother introduced it to me when I was 6. To this day, Halo 3 will always be my favorite Halo game, and up there with xbox games

Halo: CE in so many ways holds the most nostalgia and wonder in my little head. I had the soundtrack CD from 2002 in middle school. But I can't argue how the Halo 3 and ODST soundtracks just hold the throne for the series. Everything started and experienced with in the first 2 games honed to a fine and perfect point.

Tribute is probably the most stand out for me on a nostalgia basis because when the game ended, I thought that was it. Yeah they teased a come back but I always imagined it wouldn't come back because they would fuck it up.

Man, I spent so long playing halo 2 and 3 multiplayer with my friends in university. I only got around to playing the campaigns this year and I was totally blown away. I've read a lot of scifi and the covenant civil war with humanity and the flood was so interesting. The flood attacking high charity was the moment I fell in love with the story.

Behold a Pale Horse is probably my favorite new song of the trilogy. 53:05 it holds so much power & feeling. 1:01:47 also packs a nice punch and mixes it up a bit

I came here for my favorite track. Glittering band 1:03:50 This one is seared into my brain for just how epic that tone was and the timing of where it is. Just like AAHHH Imma go back and play some H3 rn.

Killing soundtrack. I personally never had the chance to play Halo, but i just listened to the whole of this vid and now I find it really unfortunate that I never played it. It's so great. Bit repetitive, but still. So epic.

Man this takes me back. I had all of the Halo Soundtracks growing up. I'd listen to them to and from school on the bus making my own epic adventures in my head. Halo 3's OST is probably my favorite out of all of them!
