    One could argue that the change in dialogue and acting performance at the very beginning with Laurie and the kids is a sign that this does indeed take place in another universe.

    Me too. There were a couple scenes that were off a little. I do think it could've been a little better if they got a new William Shatner mask, redid it as well as having Wes Craven write and direct the film since John Carpenter wasn't interested in making it at all

    one of the most brilliant things is that it starts out as a homage making people its cheap, then you notice it zooms in and you then see the pumpkin break apart and you see the skull, brilliant one of the only horror film sequels that ever worked

  • @trans8010

    @trans8010

    Well the skull is the evil that lies within, one that has corrupted a innocent holiday for children. Then as the camera continues to zoom in to and then through the eye of the skull, as black completely covers the screen we're suddenly looking at events through Michael's point of view. It is simplistic in design, but the intention is clear, We are being subjected to another round of mayhem as he continues his rampage.

    @@gkroll8467 Compared to Rob Zombie's Halloween where they made Michael be a bully, Killed off the mother, Come up with premeditated child abuse at the breakfest scene, Made Laurie turn into this sexual douchebag, Also made Laurie and Annie fight in Part 2, Multiple times....And also made scenes that doesn't even make sense like Michael's gerbil scene. Halloween (2018) was literally the best film i have ever seen. Everything made a lot of scene. Especially the scene where Laurie is the pray and Michael is the victim, That was the huge twist in the film. It's all a connection; Earlier in the film Laurie was shooting her dummies, She was preparing for the attack that would eventually come in that same house. A little later in the movie she scares her daughter in her daughter's own home; She was protecting her and training her for the worst to happen, Michael could just come in without her knowing; Like he did to that one girl that was talking on the phone on his first night appearance as "The Shape". When they were commemorating skipping scene-to-scene-to-scene-to-scene, Laurie screams. That meant she knew peacetime was over and that it could be her last night and also the night to fight with Michael and that she would be expected to lose her babies to Michael. She already lost Ray, Hopkins, and those 2 British people that interviewed with her in the beginning of the film. When Michael and Laurie came eye-to-eye she was getting ready to shoot, At that scene this was a huge reference to Halloween H20 where Michael and Laurie came eye-to-eye with Laurie holding a pistol. When they finally arrive to Laurie's house, Karen was emotionally complaining about her childhood being ruined, When Michael arrived, He was hiding from Laurie to surprise attack her, Like what Laurie did in Halloween (1978) in the (of course the same arm where she got stabbed in 1978, 1998, and 2007) Laurie was lurking, Looking for Michael, When Michael surprise attacked her, She was trying to lean him towards the balcony when she unfortunately she failed and let Michael lean HER into the balcony; Literally pushing her off of it. *(She survives this just like how Michael did in the 1978 film)* Karen and Allison was also searching for Michael. When they finally attack Michael by Karen shooting her *(Using her hilarious trick by the human logic of fake-crying)* They both move out of the way, Laurie pushes Michael into the chamber, after saying "Happy Halloween, Michael", Laurie and Karen sets up the chamber and officially announces it as a trap. Laurie says "Goodbye, Michael", Sets him on fire; the entire house on fire, They both walk out The End. So obviously the connection was actually to plan Michael Myers to be set on fire burned alive in his own little trap. Except Halloween (2020) says that Michael had escaped from his little trap. So we'll get to see what actually happened in Part 2 later next year. All of this makes sense, Even True Halloween Fans like Myself and thousands of others, sure enjoyed the living Hell out of this movie, And all of us definitely cannot wait for Halloween (2020) that's set to come out later next year. It doesn't suck, You just **THINK** it sucks, Because you don't like what Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Myers Creator/Halloween (1978) Music Creator-Composer John Carpenter had planned for the new Halloween (2018) film. Which progressed into a smash hit in the box office which led to the franchise planned to come to an end with Halloween (2020): Halloween Kills, and Halloween (2021): Halloween Ends.
