Just to make up for my lack of novel last week, you’re getting a long comment this time 😂. When I miss a stream, it’s become my Thursday laundry day tradition to catch up now hahaha. The energy to kick off the stream while I have yet to have coffee was a vibe, and I’m so here for it. THE FACT THIS STREAM CAME AFTER AN ANNOUNCEMENT IS AMAZING. I’m so psyched for everyone’s HHN adventures this year! I can second being spoiled by express. After you guys recommended doing it for my first HHN when we only had 1 night to do it all, I was hooked and could never go back. It’s expensive AF but so worth it! I get why HHN is starting in august now. Disney starts their Halloween stuff in August and it drives me nuts. My birthday is in August, and I’m in pure summer mode for my birthday. Spooky season stuff feels weird that time of year to me. Having the events go so long, in all respects across all the parks, feel like it’s drawing out the experiences too much. It makes it feel less special and especially for locals, it can be boring when there isn’t variety because events last months. Opening weekend at HHN is something special though. The energy of everyone psyched for the event feels unmatched. I wish I could do an opening weekend one year just to feel that magic. I personally like going later in September or early in October, once the team members have perfected their rhythm. The fact the unmasking the horror tour kicks off before HHN starts makes NO FREAKING SENSE! It feels exactly like what they did with the food last year to tease offerings for the “influencer crowd”. Teasing the food is one thing. HOUSES?! No! It’s too much too soon before the official event kickoff, and you know it’ll lead to leaks and spoilers all over the place. The best way they can do this is not allow phones, but I have a feeling doing the tour early is to drum up hype and get the content creators to share teases. I follow many an Orlando based content creator, and I have the biggest feeling at least 1 of them will have either a YT video or IG posts about this tour. It’s so hard to avoid spoilers nowadays with social media. I try so hard to not have spoilers on so much, but I know it’ll get ruined anyway. I just roll with it now and accept it I see a spoiler. For the merch we have so far, It’s definitely a copy of the same vibe of their grad night merch. I hope it has nothing to do with the event theming and it’s just a design to kick off the season. We got that weird fog merch last year to drum up hype, and then the event’s themed merch was all voodoo and ouija boards. We shall see if it gets better. I am here for all the theories and seeing how all the HHN lore will connect as time goes on! The little teaser we got with the door still gives me vibes of the HHN 30 promos with Jack. If this is accurate and it all is connecting, I cannot wait to see how it goes!!! I hope they bring back the podcast and use it to build the event’s lore again too. This was an amazing live and I cannot wait to see how this season turns out (and hype with the fright club along the way)

We always wait for Frequent Fear, just gotta be patient, we have WWE Summer slam up here in Cleveland in July, so we get those tickets first.

I don’t get being upset about the early unmasking the horror…just don’t go. Fear of Spoilers being the reason makes sense but then that’s the same for anyone who can’t make it opening weekend.

Yeah I agree, as a long distance fan who has had to avoid spoilers for at least a few weeks every year, I don’t see why this is such a big deal to people. The unmasking tours fill up super fast so I’d assume they extended them out to August to keep up with demand.

The reason for spoilers isn’t the main point of this. We talk about the extension of the event and how special it’s limitations are for the season. There are a lot more logistic issues that can come from this decision by Universal that we hope will not factor in.

Hi Brian and Steph, I always wait until Frequent Fear Pass come out before getting tickets. but always tell my group of friends to get express tickets asap before they go up in prices. Since 2007, been going opening weekend for the event. This year might be the first time I won't be able to go that Friday night. Opening weekend falls on the boss birthday, so not sure I can get off work yet.

Thanks both. It was really interesting to hear about the differences of experience when going early or later through the event. I've already booked flights/hotels for September 7th till 19th. But will consider doing even later in the event for 2025

Just now watching, but wanted to say - Agreed with Steph 💯about wanting to see the inside of the houses for the first time when I walk through. It’s already so hard to balance avoiding spoilers and wanting to stay hyped and continue watching videos if you can’t attend opening weekend. (We aren’t local.) I feel like Unmasking before the event opens is going to take away from the “specialness” and the anticipation and I am soooo hopeful that folks won’t intentionally - or even unintentionally! - ruin it for everyone else. All that being said, SO pumped and can’t wait for HHN! 🎃🔪

30:24 I think the event starting at the end of August is fine. Where I live the leaves change and fall at the end of August beginning of September so it turns to fall vibes therefore HHN in that time makes sense to me. But I understand you live in the never ending summer of Florida. If they do creep up to the beginning of August then that is wrong and they should not because that is summer!

We are truthfully fine with the August start date for this year. Still believe that it should be kept in September and October though. However, we advise caution for this decision because now they can continue to push the date further and further into August just for the sake of saying “more nights than ever before.”

With the crowds getting more out of control, I think it’s great they’re extending the event. As far as heat goes…it’s Florida, it’s going to be miserably hot no matter what month it is🤷🏼‍♀️ 😂 yah gotta suffer for the spooky 🎃

We did some digging awhile ago and have only noticed crowd attendance increasing with more dates. The August 30th start date is fine as long as they don’t intend to continue into early August. What they really need is more offerings to eat away at the crowds within the park. Too many people just “roaming” around.

Even though I wouldnt like it for Brian and Steph...I hope they make express pass prohibitively expensive. If season pass with express is selling out...too many people have it and its way too cheap

The event is getting expensive for sure, but we understand why the express passes continue to increase to keep its amount limited. We honestly wonder what those statistics are as far as how many are sold per night.

Here's a question, with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire being a massive flop, will that affect it potentially being at HHN?

Truthfully we don’t think it will. The houses and movies give off a different vibe sometimes. Plus we are still not sure if Ghostbusters will happen and if so what version.

What about the part where you have “never told the public this, the amount of fingers are the amount of people you’ve told, that you’d put your life on the line to see them do it…” and you hyped it up like crazy… and then went to break and never talked about it? What was that all about?
