Halle is the best vocalist of her generation and quite frankly generations before her, she's so young with so much potential and room to create so many beautiful stories and albums, she's already saving so many of the youth with her voice and her purpose, i love her eternally because she has the purest of hearts and refuses to let the cruelness of the world change her.

Really she is an angel... Great voice... Smooth tones... Beatiful song !!!

I think the lyrics are just as powerful as her voice. Like the lyrics flaws as property. Little girls grow up thinking our skin tone, body and hair are flaws yet the world wears these flaws as trends (property) or when we fall we fall on clouds. Like how our hair is fluffy and defies gravity like clouds. That song said so much heavy stuff. It's a lyrical genius as well as the vocals including the layering and echos.

Me being a black girl, what I got from this song is that we have the world on our shoulders and we are resilient and enduring. And we do it with style and grace. All sent from God

This incredible young talent, Ms. Halle Bailey, starred in The Little Mermaid's latest iteration - and along with much love and support came a tremendous backlash from bigots from every corner. The controversy of it has been covered endlessly as many were extremely shocked by it. THIS song was written, by Halle, DURING the filming of the movie amid the onslaught of bigoted criticism. She's said that she wrote this as an "AFFIRMATION" to herself - to not forget who SHE is... and she is a beautiful and classy Spirit. :) Her sister, Chloe, has gone the more sexual, sensual route in her solo career (they were a duo - Chloe & Halle) however she's an equal talent to Halle. Writers, producers, instrumentalists, vocalists, actors and seemingly Kind young women. By the way - The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey was BEAUTIFULLY done.... it really was - and the filled theater full of diverse ethnicities & ages appeared to agree through shared laughing, singing, crying and clapping. ;) My Rundown... :) Ciao
