    Interesting that the oldest building in Halifax is St. Paul's Anglican Church and the oldest building in Sydney NS is St. George's Anglican Church. St. George's is a top Cruse Ship stop when ships call on the Port of Sydney.

    When the British founded a place one of the first buildings that went up was an Anglican church. St. John's here in Lunenburg is the second oldest such temple in Canada. Mind you Lutherans and Dutch Reformed (now Presbyterian) worshipped there too. Early symbols of the official faith and empire.
