Halibut in Homer, Alaska

Ойын-сауық

Come along for a fantastic halibut fishing trip in Homer Alaska. A couple buddies ask if I would like to join them for the trip, of course, I couldn't say no, so I joined in for a perfect day on the ocean. I only fish for Halibut about once a year, and after editing this video, I learned that I should probably dial back my hook set or fish for huge sharks. Anyway, it was a fantastic day to be out on the water with good friends and the fishing was nearly nonstop action.

Nice. You'd still be there vacuum sealing if you landed the 10,000 pound halibut. The smaller ones are better eating anyway. Thanks for the video!

It’s always the 10,000 pounders that get away! LOL!🤣 I have never tried halibut but those fillets looked awesome! But if you do a video fishing for huge sharks, I will definitely watch that one! Great day on the water and looks like they knew exactly where to go to get a lot of bites! Very nice! 😁

This spot is well known for catching small fish, but seldom produces fish over 20 lbs. We knew that, but we wanted some action. It was a super fun day and now I might have to make another trip down and go somewhere that had far less action, but might yield a whopper.😁

What does he say while driving the boat? The water is so loud it’s hard to make out 😢 really looking for some pointers for where to go in homer.
