Kinda glad you got proved wrong on the feta tomato bread lol! As someone who worked at place where “cheese bread” is just a garlic buttered up hoagie roll like that with mozzarella (plus whatever toppings you like, pesto and tomatoes was my fave), the only thing they did wrong was not cutting it into strips! And some pizza sauce would be good to 🤔

I like a slightly sweeter pizza sauce, it helps offset the salty cheese and meat topping. However, there's definitely a limit to the level of sweet.

I love white sauce pizza or even just garlic butter. Or in summer, if the big purple/black heirloom tomatoes are good, I'll slice them thin and use instead of sauce. Just a sprinkle of garlic butter and basil, maybe oregano if mine is doing good in the garden. Oh, and sprinkle of salt. Brings out that tomato flavor. My son in law had never seen purple tomatoes before and asked me what was wrong with them 😅

The Uber Eats person was delivering another order with your order. They give up to 3 orders to pickup and deliver one after another

He probably was waiting on another order he had after yours. A lot of drivers are accepting double orders when they come in. Sometimes the 2nd restaurant will have you waiting.

I absolutely loathe sweet red sauce. It's too overpowering & doesn't give you the opportunity to round out the flavor profile with more subtly sweet flavors like caramelized onion, roasted garlic or good sweet bell peppers (also pineapple if you like pineapple on pizza which I do). It's funny to me that whenever I make my family pasta with my Bolognese sauce they rave about it, aside from properly seasoning it & browning the meat the only thing I do is balance out the acid in a way that doesn't make it sweet but very savory. Don't underestimate all that great umami that you get from simply browning your meat properly, gives your palate that good MSG hit that keeps you coming back for more

That’s crazy the first time you try it and it’s loaded with sauce but I’ve always gotten a shitty amount and when you ask for extra it’s too much 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I’m 30 & grew up in Toledo and Gino’s is definitely a fav!

I had a "tamper" proof seal last week from a doordash omlette order from National Coney Island, and when I opened it up, half my hashbrowns were eaten! 😮

That’s why I order light sauce, otherwise it’s too overpowering. I can’t stand red onions, or as they used to be called, “Bermuda Onions.” Why did everyone start using them when they’re so bitter and strong?! 😝 I prefer the sweet yellow onions, especially Vidalia!! ❤️🧅

I don't know....I..kinda prefer a sweet sauce. Just hear me out 🖐️🤚 Most of my pizzas are loaded with salty savory toppings and lots of cheese so the sweet sauce kinda helps cut through all of that. You know, giving it a little razzle dazzle. Now I don't want it Papa John's sweet(one of the reasons why I don't go there anymore) but I do prefer sweet sauce over savory. I'm also a sauce girl so the more the better. Just not to the point where it's goopy, messy, and and making my crust soggy.

That pizza is begging for a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. I don't like sweet sauce either.

The feta and tomato appetizer is not meant to be eaten as a sandwich. You just pick it up and eat it like you would a piece of bruschetta.
