I love how you somehow managed to make the combine soldiers even more badass than they already are. The ONLY one nitpick I have is that claw scanner at 0:50 is faced backwards with its ass at us. The yellow thing at 1:07 is the actual eye.

yeah, the strider is just slidiing across the screen while the walking animation is being played. Usually the strider dynamically speeds up and slows down instead of slowly moving with the same speed only.

There's something else wrong with that shot, but I can't put my finger on it... The airship and strider seem kind of floaty or flat or something. Not sure if it's the AO, lighting, movement, color or what, but it seems off to me compared to the rest of the clips.

I think it's partially the movement -- the airship looks like it's moving on rails, and has no inertia (I mean it *should* weigh at least several thousand kilograms, yet it moves like a helium balloon). That sort of lightness makes it seem small and close up; and yet there's an atmospheric diffusion layer on it that pushes it to the background, which creates a kind of cognitive dissonance in me, I think.

I know whats wrong on mostly all of the shots, or at least those in sunlight: they don't cast realistic shadows or shadows at all... The spider just seems to float because there is no reference for the eyes...

Thanks. I remade some textures and smoothed some of the models, but nothing substantial.

This is the best half life irl video I have seen to date, the models textures aren’t pixelated to make them stand out, they’re coloured right to make them match the surroundings (e.g not to bright or dark), and the lighting on them is superb

He records a place in real life, updates textures and models from half life 2. Tracks the ground on the footage and sticks the models into those places with animations and lighting control +motion blur

imagine being a combine soldier / combine police and having a pet shield scanner (Btw the city scanner from half life 2 IS REAL. It is currently in russia, under development. Only one has been made so far)

Great job! But I think the added barrel and box needs a bit of work as well as the strider as I noticed that the strider was still moving even when I saw it stop for a brief moment, but other than that it is perfect!
