    It is just a shame that we quit honoring our elders. As a retired military veteran only real men can truly sheds tears for a lost comrades and the older generations passing.

    True...and this was like 11 years ago, but I just got to watch it now. Though I may mot have understood a thing they say in a haka, it never fails to move me to tears. The passion they put into every gesture and movement touches something from deep within, conveying feelings rather than mere words.

The simple act of posting this video allows the entire world to share in that respect.     I am from Alabama/Kentucky and I do not understand Haka, but every time I see it performed I start getting chills and tears fall. I do understand but I love seeing it done. With love thank you for this video.

    Thanks Amy. Loss of a loved one leaves a big hole that is never filled, we just learn to live with it and appreciate everything outside of the hole

    @@emadjimI’m sorry for your loss. Our dad passed in 2017 at the age of 95.He was also a veteran(WWII). We found that telling good stores about our folks helps a lot.

    Your tears went with the Haka. It is the custom to have a TangiHanga which is an expression of mourning and tears as part of the service to honor the person now deceased. Kia Ora, Thank you for showing your respect.

    As a Native American, I felt their grief down in my soul. This was such a beautiful and honorific Haka. It speaks spirit to spirit, we don’t need to know the language. Rest easy my brother. My love and prayers are with your family.
