The sad part is, I got a mushroom cut at a pretty high-end salon when I asked for curtain bangs. She did everything that Brad warns you not to in this video. I had to keep my hair in a ponytail/bun for +/- 6 months.

The perfectly synced moment at 2:57 killed me 😂 the snip, the sound effect, and Brad’s face changing from “oh no, don’t you dare” to acceptance is just incredible

Growing out bangs is the most annoying thing in the world. It’s so much easier to stay stuck in the cycle of recutting them vs going through the awkward grown out side bang phase, where they are too short to put behind the ears and too long to push forward.

I did when I was 8. 4 days before my First Communion. That did not go over well with my mom. The pictures aren’t too bad, she pulled more from the hairline and “fixed it” best she could. I learned my lesson that day. I’ve never done it again.

Honestly this is probably my most favorite reaction to date! Only because I've had bang-cutting mishaps that have made me give up and just say "eff it, I'm growing them out, and keeping them long". Also, I *love* the second girl's personality! She's so fun.

@@mels1918 well I'm not sure how to display that here lol but I got a lot of inspiration from Google searches and just did a lot of research. There's some debate on it but I personally found it easier to cut them dry, styled how I wanted them to sit. I also took inspo from Natasha Lyonne cuz I dyed it ginger haha. Over time I kept adding more hair from the top of my bangs to be styled forward with the rest of it. It gave it a great shaggy layered look, still just above my eyes in length but had top pieces for volume. As I said I went for more of a mullet look, partially because I'm disguising my hair to weasel out of doing the "big chop" to get rid of my bleached hair. So I keep cutting pieces to keep them short, and take small horizontal layers around my head and cut them, so I don't end up with shelf looking layers. To be honest I think the hardest part is deciding how you want your curls that are just off to the side of the main part of your bangs to lay/shape your face, like do you want an arched bang, blunt, etc. Honestly googling curly bangs and searching for the style I was going for was a huge help. It shows the different ways it can be cut to show volume and dimension, if that's the look you're going for. I like my hair looking almost like a fro, but much less fluffy and cool lol. But yeah, long winded way of saying Google it lol. For inspiration as well as info on how to address curls for bangs. I'd recommend taking it slow as well, try cutting less than what you think you want at first and see how you like it for a few days/a week or so. Then start trimming more if you want, adding more layers and such. I hope some of this helped! I'd definitely recommend trying it! Worst thing that could happen is you have to find some cute ways to style some pinned back curls until they grow out lol.
