I went to a salon that specialized in natural hair and not only did she cut it wet, but she didn't even comb through it while she was cutting it. She was just kinda snipping at it 😵💫. She tried to convince me that that was the best way to cut curly hair. I got up out of the chair. I paid her for her time, but I wasn't about to let her mess my hair up. My current stylist straightens it first.

Cyn i washed my hair last night and used that scalp massager that you recommended for the first time! I bought the one you linked in your Amazon store and i love it! I have type 4 hair and it doesn’t tangle it at all! And at the same time it cleanses my scalp. I needed this because i had a hard time cleaning my hair myself with my hands. This gives me a new feeling. I scrub my entire body now my scalp can be treated too! Im also going to buy the scalp scrub you have on Amazon too. Thanks for the tips girl! I was raised by a stylist so everything you’re saying I always agreed with. I been waiting for the natural hair community to come to this revelation as well.

I’ve been binge watching your videos over the weekend. And I’m really sitting here surprised pikachu face with all the mistakes I’ve been doing on my journey. Mainly with oiling the scalp. I didn’t get into hair science KZread until a year and a half ago. And it drastically changed how I treat my hair and I saw results. But also my hair is in a weird spot right now because it’s the longest it’s ever been(bra band length) but I’m also treating some wild crown breakage. But I’ve been taking notes since the Clove video. ( I made the water but, once you said it’s better to ingest , I’m like say less I’m a big tea drinker anyway.)

It's funny watching this cause I just recently watched at least three different natural hair influencers say that they're done with natural hair content. Or won't be doing as much of it.
I've been so confused lately with this natural hair girl. Everything I thought I learned I learned from the wrong ppl and I will say I just started going to a stylist. I will be back Dec 2nd which is 8 wks from my last trim she did. I've also learned from Cyn not to oil my scalp and what she says really made sense and made me feel so stupid for recommending oils to fam when I thought I knew what I was talking about. I will now tell folks to do their own research when I'm approached. I'm not a cosmetologist or trichologist.

Hey Cyn!!
Hey there I have a question for you and I’m asking because I trust you to tell me the truth. As a child In the 60’s I went to the beauty parlor ever 2 weeks. Got my hair washed and straightened and between my appointments my grandmother would keep my hair braided and occasionally grease my hair & scalp. Now here’s my question: What happened to the science or make up of hair that it is no longer healthy to straighten hair, grease hair or sleep without a bonnet and why did it become necessary to moisturize (wet) your hair between washes. I am guilty of falling prey to some of the shinanagins over the years until I finally had to ask myself … WHY? Can I just keep it simple? Do I have to do 25 steps in order to have healthy hair? In past years it was never necessary, why is it necessary now? Please explain

Let me tell you something: My stylist had been using an edge control that I liked because it was a soft hold and not sticky. I thought it was the best. Chile.. So she told me where to order. The company is a small "natural" hair care company that don't use preservatives. It took about 4 months to get 2 small 4 oz jars and both jars had black mold growing the product. I emailed them and no response was just a waste of money. I kept them for a little while and every time I would open the jars, I could see it growing bigger and bigger. Like, I was sent a whole science experiment. But yes, give me the preservatives please. Dismiss me with kitchen magician products. NOPE
A stylist told me to leave, leave in conditioners in my hair , i knew this woman is full of it. I'm sorry Cyn doll I've been trimming my hair because every time I go to stylists in my area and I've went in with long hair only to come back with hair short to my neck. I used to only go to stylists for my trims. I tried so many stylists I only found two that were good and they retired . So I'm doing it myself now . They've damaged my hair all the time we don't have good hair stylists in my town.
