Is it just a water or a prestyler what you use before blow dry? If it's the prestyler, is it possible to create such a volume without the prestyler? What prestylers and pomades(with low shine) would you recommend for max volume? I'm using American Crew pomade with high hold without prestyler and havent ever got such an effect with it.

Jon is it personal preference to start cutting from crown to front? I am not sure why some barbers do it and some start from front to back. Also a comment mentioned a difficult crown how did the crown not stick up?

Technically fine, I guess, but it's not a well proportioned hairstyle. The tall pomp needs some length on the sides to slick back and create balance. But, the client should get what he wants.
