i'm incredibly surprised that the hairdresser didnt do more root work, its like they completely avoided it. Did you not want the roots to be softened?

I've been so nostalgic for MAC recently too. They have some great fail-safe products that I've been using for 20 years. It just feels so comforting and reliable since it seems like new brands and products are launching daily and it gets very overwhelming. I miss the simpler times when makeup launched much less often and seasonally. I'm loving your "little bit Barbie" look, so fun to switch it up sometimes!

Hi Elle! Thank you for this great vlog! I ADORE your grocery hauls and recipe clips!

If you like the blonde then I love it. Would recommend conditioning masks and glazing more frequently than you’re doing now to help with the dryness and lack of shine. Silky hydrated blonde is very hard to achieve when going from dark brunette to blonde because you’re essentially killing the hair and stripping it of every bit of shine. Also, maybe give your hair a break from heat styling and wear it in its natural state of curls on the daily and save the blowouts/flat ironing and curling wands for a special occasion once a month. In it’s natural state learn how to put it in French braids or get it done cheaply at a walk in salon, you could do two full French braids or just French braid the bangs and/or sides back.

This vlog gives me such a nostalgia! All the Mac products reminds me old school yt!

Intelligentsia is the best! The black cat blend is what I mainly use to make espresso.

I still wear shroom and espresso almost on the daily. And I blend with kidd. That palette looks awesome but I don’t need any more eye shadows. Your “Elle Florence” colors are legit the colors I use all the time. We have similar coloring and dark hair. I might need to try that ilia stuff!

I can relate, because most of my products are MAC. MAC is a "safe place", their products always work. I love Soft and Gentle, Prolongwear concealer, Blow powder, Mehr lipstick and so on. Good to see someone that loves MAC too.

Hello Elle! I love what they did with your hair. I too have very dark hair and I have found that going to a Persian Hairdresser is best. They know how to manage and work with dark and thick hair and can achieve blonde without damaging your hair .. I’m in California and have been going to my Persian hair dresser for years.

Happy to see your vlog. Love the MAC palette you made, since I own most of the shades. 😄You might like "Vanilla" its a great matte cream all over or brow bone shade. Consider shopping MAC stand alone stores or online (vs department stores), as you can be part of their decent rewards program. Have a nice trip and hope to see a vacation vlog.
