Hair Loss Treatment for Men | Exercise at Gym increases Hair Loss

Hair Loss Treatment for Men | Exercise at Gym increases Hair Loss +91 9814531111 drbhatti@darlingbuds.com
Before considering hair loss treatment for men, we need to know that the exercise activity that men do in the gym can potentially impact their hair by causing hair loss.
Do all exercises cause hair loss and does this happen in everyone?
The dots we generally connect to establish a link between heavy, intense exercise on one hand and hair loss on the other is that strenuous exercise can elevate testosterone levels which can increase DHT and in turn shrink hair follicle in those who carry the baldness gene. But is this deduction as simple as it sounds.
Cardio exercise increase DHT levels whereas anaerobic exercises are said to be linked to hair loss.
However, exercise alone is not the primary cause of a sudden increase in hair loss on joining a gym. It is your genetic predisposition and the supplements you take that initiate and then worsen hair loss.
To conclude, if you have the baldness gene, where possible, do more aerobic activity- be mindful of the amount of anaerobic exercise you do. Incorporate natural sources of protein into your diet and consume a healthy and balanced diet that contains essential vitamins and minerals.
A little alteration in your fitness regime may save you from a lot of hair loss.

It shocks me the topic of this video is still scarcely touched on and this Dr. offers a perfect explanation that fits wht's happened to me and to many other gym goers. Sadly almost all hair doctors I came across do not have knowledge in this subject matter and thus could not warn off their patients. More people who suffer should really watch this. I learned it the hard way by thinking I was not nutritionally prepared for my routine and took quite some supplements for 2-3 years (vitamins, whey, creatine), the result is it excelerated my symptoms. i only stopped because I started to feel "not right". It begs the question of "should predisposed people hit the gym for anabolic/heavy weight exercise at all?"

@@Glücklichman2001 No, my hair loss started when I began to lift weight three years ago, then the whey, creatine, BCAA and other supplements like vitamins just made it worst. To be frank, one would get by with just 2-3 meals a day in modern society, you don't need that much vitamins, even for casual gym goers (professional athletes might be on another level and thus demand more nutrient intake), my replenishment simply compounded the thinning.

Hello doctor, your videos are my point of reference when it comes to hair loss. These videos are gold for people with this problem. I did an HT more then 6 months ago. For the first 2/3 months I didn’t do any exercise, maybe at the end of the second month some walk/run. Now it’s been 2 months that I’m lifting weight without using whey supplements and creatin. I’m just using gmo free, lab controlled, bio - gmp/iso certified vegan protein. All natural ingredients, no added bcaa or creatin. I also walk quite a lot, 5 days a week (min 3km) and sometimes I also do cycling (6 to 12km). I use everyday before going to sleep Finasteride. My two questions are: Is the supplement that I’m taking good and safe to use? Is enough to walk and cycle in that amount to compensate my anaerobic exercise? If not should I increase? I think answer to this question will help many people. Thank you a lot in advance doctor

In my crown area, I'm seeing a regrowth on a bald patch, with a swirl shape forming with miniature, but healthier hair 3. Significant drop in falling of hair strands 4. Thicker hair 5. Weight loss ofc 6.have regained a lot of confidence from my hair and posture improvement Also, along with healthier lifestyle options ( like a balanced sleep cycle, lots of fibrous and green food items, drop in intake of processed/refined food, walking 1-2km daily with my dog), I'm also using minoxidil+finastride, ashwagandha, green tea...applying hair oil 1/2 times a week, regular champi by a barber using indigenous mustard oil. Hello doctor than you for your kind explanation. I'm 36yr old that did 6500 grafts in two days session. Is it possible for me to workout like 45 minutes outside, and do pullups, pushups, while also been on Finasteride? Could this 45 minutes medium workout affect the hair loss? Or it's basically safe? I used to do heavy workouts a lot even tho I was Norwood 5 to 6. The hair that is left is kinda strong and steady. I was taking a look at it for 4 years and the hair loss stabilized. So basically I was a Norwood 5 to 6 with a lot of frontal hair that was exercising about 1 year heavily and none of the left hairs fell out. So i decided to do an HT and now im 38 days post op and I'm kinda still thinking of not starting to exercise. I kinda want to do it outside, and not go to the gym, so is that possible for like 45 minutes without my newly transplanted hair sheds?

Doctor, you mentioned that anaerobic exercise causes a boost in testosterone, which can convert into dht and accelerate hair loss in those susceptible to it. What if you are already on a 5ar inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride? Theoretically the increase in testosterone should not matter much right? This is assuming that no extra supplements/hormones are consumed. My understanding is that the finasteride/dutasteride will prevent the testosterone from converting into dht and harming the hair. Thanks

Hi doc , i loved the in depth explanation... After going through the comments one thing hit my mind about finasteride. If there is only one FDA approved drug which is Finasteride. Can we start with 0.5mg Fin and continue the same for years. Will we have to increase the dosage or we could be able to hold the hair just by this.? Your response means a lot, thanks in advance .

Thanks for watching. For this purpose you ill need to use a DHT blocker like Finasteride- Minoxidil is not one. Even with Finasteride baldness may continue if you have aggressive baldness. A difficult question to answer. Every person's hormonal profile, metabolism and genetic make up are grossly variable.

Sad to learn about this information. I am both an enthusiastic body-builder and someone predisposed to genetic hairloss. In the last six months, I've been doing rigorous weight lifting along with taking whey protein isolate. Have gained decent muscle mass, but also have lost a lot of hair in very quick succession. Panicked and switched to plant-based protein, but of no help. Now no supplements at all and fulfilling the daily protein requirement naturally. Still no respite. Also, been taking Finasteride for the past 5 years, and it seems ineffective now. Been applying Minoxidil for a year now, but that also does not seem to be doing anything ever since I started working out heavily. People like me can never build a muscular physique without losing head hair :(
