I think that one of my issues with Hailey’s on it is that in the first episode, the plot was just thrown in your face within the first couple of minutes of the show, and I kinda wish that there was more time before Hailey found out about having to fill out her bucket list, or maybe something leading up to that so the scene doesn’t just feel thrown in out of nowhere. I haven’t watched any episodes besides episode one, so maybe I’ll continue the series and see what i think. So far it seems like a fun show! :)

Couple things 1: the characters looked too human 2: it feels like it’s trying to continue the Disney channel story focused shows but they don’t really have complex/likeable characters and 3: they introduced the problem and solution too early

Then Hailey can look back at the series realize in the end that she actually does have the confidence to do whatever she wants, no matter what gets in her way, gaining the courage to defeat the villain

@@andrewbrasfield1104 Very interesting. I was pretty much hooked by the first episode of Amphibia. Being 60 years old now though, I know I am definitely not the target demographic. 😅

I think the show has potential, but is currently missing the mark with connecting the characters and the list to the future. Similar to how Anne (from Amphibia) grows throughout the series, present Hailey should have to learn, through the list, how to be the "actualized" future Hailey that will go on to save humanity. For example (off the top of my head): The fish taco episode could have been a great way to discuss the harm of polluting the ocean and how that will affect marine life, and by proxy our own. You can still have the giant fish, but have it where it only looked scary due to pollutants. The competition gets put on hold once the people realize that the fish they are using/eating might be contaminated. Afterwards, you can have Hailey win by default by providing "faux fish" or some other fish alternative. This way we now have a glimpse into Hailey's environmentalism as well as her completing an item on her list. Hailey in the "western" episode felt a little mean spirited when she was going against the younger children. I would have written her to slowly realize how unenjoyable she was making the experience for the other kids. She would then begin helping the other children and one of them would be made sheriff. The -raiders- bikers can still be involved, but have it where she and the old man cannot stop them alone, the children are too uncoordinated, and the parents/tourists(?) are being passive bystanders. Hailey has to rally everyone as a _community_ to fend off the bikers. Extra credit if the town and bikers learn to get along and help each other in the end. Thus, Hailey learns that alone we are weak, together we are strong, and building a community involves working with many different people and their differences. These are my brief thoughts on how I feel the show ought to be going. Final note, I hope the show does a few twists and turns like in Gravity Falls. Maybe Hailey is the real villain (somehow...)? Regardless, I am caught up and willing to continue keeping an eye on it. Keep up the great work Zeez.

Hailey is a mean spirited character, that’s a character trait. She’s kind of a jerk and that add complexity to her character.

My personal biggest issue with H.O.I, is that it uses too many things as a joke. For instance, the Taco challenge you mentioned, or the crab episode as a whole. And I am all for LGBTQ+ representation, but the decision to make Becker attracted to Hailey got me confused. However, I think HOI will get more plot driven since episode 11, which is what is keeping me into the show. I WILL SAY THOUGH. The music in HOI is pretty incredible🤩

I know what you mean about the whole Becker liking Hailey thing. That clip caught me so off guard, and the lgbtq+ representation actually felt kinda...forced? Idk, it just felt a bit odd to see. I didn't see any chemistry between them either, and then at the end of that one episode, she was just like "One day I'm gonna kiss Hailey Banks." I was like "Wait- HUH? Where did that come from?" But maybe that's just me.

A couple things that bugged me: Episode 1 was just waaaayyy too heavy-handed with the “kissing Scott” thing. It was just really uncomfortable to watch tbh, and that seems like it’s gonna end up being one of the central internal conflicts, especially cuz Scott isn’t single anymore. But also, that relationship with Kristine was super rushed. We don’t know what she likes about him, and my other and biggest complaint-we don’t exactly know what it is that HAILEY likes about him. Getting invested in that relationship feels very weird when things feel so platonic between them, especially at times where Hailey’s rolling her eyes at Scott being an idiot. She’s not even laughing along, she just seems somewhat annoyed? It’s a weird vibe for smth that’s trying really hard to be shipping bait. I also dislike the art style and animation, tho I won’t be too critical of that cuz animation is hard and it’s a REALLY tough time in that industry rn. The art style is my main complaint. It really feels like an adult animated comedy art style with how static and generally uninteresting some of the characters look. I quite like Hailey’s design, but I don’t care as much for most others. The bear phone is kind of annoying. Stereotypical “angry little guy but what if he was a marketable plushie?😱😱” I just don’t care for the trope, personally, though I know for the kids watching it will likely be novel to them so they’ll probably find it entertaining. The realism thing is a good point too. It’s kinda difficult to properly gauge stakes for the episodes when the show is very flippant with its realism so much of the time. I could go on, but ultimately, I just recognize I’m clearly not the target demographic for this, and that’s okay! I’m glad I at least gave it a shot, and I hope that a lot of kids end up enjoying it, especially kids who are poc, cuz they may get to see characters like them on the screen, which is always incredibly important. I hope the representation does the kiddos some good.

Kristine mention why she likes Scott in the first episode, as for reason Hailey likes Scott I don't think it need to be explained as long you watch the show.

Only problem, like most people, is how fast the plot goes. The show basically tells you Scott x Hailey is canon IN THE FREAKING TRAILER. I won't judge it a lot though cause thats what people did with shows like Gravity Falls and TOH so maybe this will be like them.

God literally made them break up for character development

I only watched the first 2 episodes and I know that it’s wrong to judge a show this early but for some reason when I watch it, I literally get so bored that it’s hard to continue. I just do not see a point, the plot and outcome have already been given to us, Hailey seems to be able to achieve everything she wants so it doesn’t seem like she’s going to go through any character arcs except ‘try new things!’, and every other character just seem bland and unoriginal. The side characters are so forgettable that I literally forgot that there were other characters besides Hailey and Scott. Also, no offense to the artists and animators on the show, but the animation looks really bad and the backgrounds are bland. I’ll try to continue and have hopes for it to become better but I feel like this will end with Hailey being an OP Mary Sue that accomplishes everything she needs to do (it seems like that’s what’s happening already).

I kinda want The Professor to turn out to be the villain. I'd actually really like that. I mean she already seems pretty chill and cool, imagine how cool she'd be as a villain. I think it'd be a pretty great twist. Also, the only full episode I've watched is the first one, I haven't found a place where I can watch all the episodes yet, but I've been keeping up with them through youtube by watching multiple clips of every episode so I get the premise of it. And oh my god, I can't believe Hailey literally had the chance to kiss Scott in the palm of her hand, but refused. HAILEY. WHY?! I mean, I know *why,* you want your kiss with Scott to mean something, but you gotta kiss him soon. The fate of the world lies in your hands But you know what would also be interesting? If completing everything on the list turned out to be a *bad thing*

7:30 Scott’s not that painfully dumb. There are some moments that show that Scott is smart, has some intelligence, and has some common sense. Just keep watching the show to find out which episodes show that side of Scott.

The show is really just meh so far. I'm not invested in the romance, the plot feels stakeless, and the animation is just really not doing it for me. However I do like Hailey as a protagonist and characters like Kristine and Becker, and I'm enjoying theorizing about who is sending the chaos bots (my money's on future Scott) so I'll stick with it for now.

I’ve actually never thought about it being future Scott! Honestly, that could give a bit to why Beta hates Scott so much. But then again, I’m not sure if Beta knows about the future that well. I really like that idea though. Like they act like Scott is really dense and then he’s actually the future villain? That would really work out.

ive had the theory that the professor is the villain since the first episode basically, mostly cuz i think it'd be interesting if she was lying about the climate change thing and completing the list turned out to be a bad thing, but also in the most recent episode on disney plus they made a point of showing that the chaos bots are powered by a power source with hailey's logo on it, and the professor tells hailey that its bc hailey's tech powers everything but then if it gets resolved so quickly why would they make a point of showing it? suspicious! i think maybe it's a future version of hailey trying to stop herself from completing the list. also the professor seemed weirdly cool with the robot bear guy basically dying and tried to convince hailey to take a replacement robot thing which is also suspicious cuz maybe since hes starting to care abt hailey it could cause problems for the professor. ik its a stretch but i like my theory ok

Could make sense, seeing as the list is making her aliened people rather than connect with? Fish taco episode had her ruined the competition as she sort of won unfairly (not by her choice though), her western episode had her ruin the fun for everyone who wanted to be a sheriff and not to mention her sand building war destroyed everyone else’s sand castle. Not to mention, the burger road trip nearly split up Scott and hat girl. It could be that the list is actually making her come across as worse to others rather than endearing enough to become a success in the future.

I’ve watched the show intently from the start- mostly because I want to see if they can stick the landing with the potential it has. The biggest hook for me is speculating who the mystery creator of the chaos bots is. For what it’s worth, I think the show is fun. It’s not without flaws, but overall, I think it’s fun enough. Like, Scott for example, I like him particularly in instances where he’s being supportive of Hailey. Scott works well as a best friend, since he tries to push Hailey to do new things she wouldn’t otherwise and is reassuring when she’s hesitating on stuff. The humor with him works… a decent amount of the time, but I can admit some of the jokes with him come across as “seen this with other ‘idiot best friend’ characters better”. And I like Kristine, the popular girl, since she is stated from the start that she’s just… a nice person, which makes her feel better than like, 90 percent of “the popular kid in school” characters since they either start and end a show as bullies or they start as bullies that become friends with rough edges. I like Andrea in The Ghost and Molly McGee since she starts the show a bully but has genuine character development and has improved dramatically. My two big gripes with the show so far are the premise feels MAJORLY underused and how it handles certain character introductions. Namely Hailey and Scott’s families, since those feel like the characters we should at least know they exist. Like, Hailey’s mom doesn’t get a formal narrated introduction and doesn’t show up until the 6th episode to the point I was thinking she might’ve died or walked out on the family. But aside from a flashback and a blink and you’ll miss it cameo in the first episode, she just… showed up when it was convenient that she’d be a roadblock for a list item. And I didn’t even know Scott’s mom WAS his mom when introduced- I thought she was just the owner of their favorite hangout. As for the premise, the time travel future people warning people of the past thing seems neat. And the Professor (who still has no name, which feels weird) seems like she could be fun if she showed up more like the theme song implies her importance to be. But most episodes are just Hailey and Scott do a list item, wacky antics ensue. And the intro OPENS with “Chaos Bots have been sent from the future…” and they have had so few appearances you can literally count them on one hand. Like, the intro implies they’ll be a regularly recurring threat and complicate the list more, but they’re barely edging out the Professor in terms of appearances in the show. But to end with positives, since I am mostly positive on the show- I do still think there’s some good humor in here, though. I like the character designs and art style, too. I describe the show best as “fun, but not earth shattering.” I hope they can stick the landing with what they have, since I do see potential in here for the show to be more story focused and even if they keep it mostly wacky misadventure of the week, it’s still fun.

I honestly don't really care about Hailey's On It because I am still pretending that The Owl House and Amphibia aren't over yet. Maybe they will come back like Phineas and Ferb just did!

I’ve seen so far the 12 episodes that are out, and I think it does get a bit better. The Professor appears more, and it’s been hinted about the villain of the show. Though it does do this slowly with majority being episodic. Also unfortunately there is still some future points in the show that are considered useless. But different plot points have came up and are slowly rising. So I’d say the show is at least worth continuing. The creators have hinted at the show having more serialized elements towards the end of the season. So I’d say just probably keep a good eye on the show and decide if you wanna continue after the first Mid-season finale being the 11th episode. Okay I’m done.

HOI definitely is a “turn your brain off and enjoy” kind of show to me. I like it alright enough but it’s nothing amazing. I think the background art is nice but the characters all look like bitmojis and it’s something that you just have to get used to instead of something that you find yourself liking. Speaking of likability, it sucks that Scott and Beta take up most of the screen time after Hailey but they’re also pretty un-fun compared to side characters like Becker and Christine. Beta’s whole schtick is being an angry guy in cuddly form and Scott is, like you said, painfully dumb. He’s definitely based on Jason from The Good Place (he’s even voiced by Manny Jacinto) but I don’t think they quite get how to make him endearingly funny. Speaking of funny, there’s an unserious tone to the whole show that I think works with its humour but it kinda fights against the stakes or morals that it tries to convey. This is also another negative against the art style because the proportions and the stiffness of it doesn’t mix well with the cartoon logic and physics and that sucks. Not a bad show but it could be better.

I think the best way to explain the premise of this series is: "Terminator but Sarah Connor has anxiety"

I enjoy this show as a breath of fresh air from all the other disney cartoons, its not trying to be something big, its just telling a story and i can respect that, in U.F-Woah (if im correct) i got some theory material and now im questioning whats gonna happen next. Overall im in it to finish it and ill gladly watch it while waiting for ninjago part 2 too come out, or more TGAMM.

now I will always think of Scott as a plot device 😂 9:20 the legend of Zelda windwaker music gave me nostalgia and the TOTK theme at the end as well

The show is alright on my end, I mean it's cool that they wanna try this stuff and the plan for this is interesting. HOWEVER. The animation sometimes (imo) is unbearable at times but I get what they're trying to do. And bruh what villain trying to stop her from solving global warming? It's like if your trying to stop someone from solving the Rubix cube and if not solved the entire coconut economy will fall. Anywho as I said it's alright and I do have more stuff to say but I'll save that.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who enjoys the show It’s rarely talked about but it’s pretty good It’s no owl house or amphibia but it’s definitely good

At first, Hailey's was a DTVA's filler-series maybe that series was very naive at best. But later on (especially episode 11 and later) it was plot-driven. Also, my reaction about that was kinda confused at first (or maybe fewer episode, if I've missing the point) but that's was fun for later on and the music was SLAP, Hailey's later episodes kick some butt of my boredom college phase as right now.

I LOVE THIS SHOW. I’ve seen the entirety of season one and it becomes more plot driven later on!!

Yeah, feeding into the stereotype of main male character being a loveable, but not so bright person isn't helping this show. He has potential with the ability to do rubix cubes and I think he just tries to be the peacemaker in a lot of episodes when he is not trying to impress. He kind of reminds me of a slightly more mature/civilized version of "Thunk" from the movie the Croods. He (Thunk), could have moved away or been eaten by the second movie and most people would have probably shrugged. If they will develop his character more, maybe we could understand why Hailey likes him in a romantic capacity outside of the typical crush/always just "been there" friend for kids/adolescents. I appreciate that they can sprinkle in some sci-fi without making it borderline horror film or just having terrible relationships in general. I've seen a sci-fi show where the plot was really on point with its sci-fi aspects, but the absolutely terrible relationships did not make me want to watch it again.

I enjoy watching the show especially the relationships with characters. However, I found it weird Kristine and Scott become a couple on the first episode. I still think this is a good show, plus some of the jokes are quite funny. I’m looking forward to see more episodes.

I've been watching the series since the beginning. I enjoyed it. Yes there are flaws and annoying stuff happening but overall its ok. You should check out the rest of the episodes. Great video.

Trust me the first few episodes don’t really show how the good the show truly is….it gets much better around the 4th-5th episode blocks….

The episodes gradually get better as they go on and give more depth to characters like Kirstine, but I understand what you mean about Scott being too dumb for his own good. Personally, I can tolerate this show and it has me laugh every now and again. I definitely agree with this show being its own thing. The one thing I do have a problem with is that a lot of people compared it to The Owl House and Gravity Falls right off the bat, causing them to be sorely disappointed. I thought it was pretty clear that DTVA was moving in a different direction, and it's really not fair to base the company off those two shows anymore. If anything, Hailey's On It feels more like Phineas & Ferb or Milo Murphy's Law with a formula that repeats every episode, but then it throws in a couple extra plot points, like in U-F-Whoa, where Beta and Hailey's relationship (which is hardly even touched prior to this) grows in a great way. All I'm asking people to do is walk into this show with an open mind, and remember that *this is made for kids.* It's not going to be some plot-heavy, dark & edgy show like The Owl House (and it's really only like that for a portion of the 2nd season, anyway). DTVA is NOT made up of those three shows that get mentioned every so often, and therefore, those three shows really shouldn't be used to determine how good something else is. (I really ran off track as there was another point I was trying to prove.)

I mean Owl House and Gravity Falls weren't the only story driven Disney shows. There's also Amphibia, DuckTales 2017, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Penn Zero, and Big Hero 6 The Series. Even now among the currently running shows, Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is story driven so it's not like DTVA is totally not story driven anymore. Wouldn't say Phineas & Ferb is like Hailey's On It, that show didn't have any long term story arc and was primarily standalone and episodic.

@@aertnadle2466 I know but when it comes to story driven shows, The Owl House and Gravity Falls are praised as the "Golden Standard" of Disney TVA, which simply isn't the case. And then the only reason I compared Hailey's On It to Phineas & Ferb was the similarity in genre, and for the times Hailey is episodic, it holds a similar formula as Phineas & Ferb.

Just because it's made for kids dosen't mean the writing cannot be plot heavy, that;s kind of a dumb excuse. I would prefer something that's semi episodic.

i feel like we were getting somewhere with disney shows but im kinda disappointed with where its going. i think moon girl has been the best one that has come out this year

You mean Saernom Animation? That’s the second animation studio besides Rough Draft Korea. Both of those two animation studios worked on Amphibia too, if you didn’t know.

I’m already caught up with Hailey’s On It, and so far it’s a great Disney cartoon. #HaileysOnIt

I watched two episodes and was not drawn in like I was Owl House or Amphibia and I've not seen enough upcoming episode promos to draw me back to it If people WERE talking about an amazing Episode I HAD to see I would get back in to it but no one really hypes it up. Its not advertised well. Its just sort of there. Owl House, Amphibia, Star Vs, Gravity Falls felt like they were heading some place and dropping mysteries and giving representation. This series feels like an idea that can go on forever with each episode being a new wacky adventure dictated by a list with a predictable outcome. The show needs a Toffee, a character who seriously threatens the world and makes the characters have to try. or if not that, it needs a fun twist like "The list is open to how you choose to interoperate it" or "The future isn't good or bad its whatever you make it" or "look at all the skills you're learning from doing this" the "You are the chosen one and you must follow these instructions or else" story doesn't let her grow and learn it just keeps her on a Linear path. Do this then do that then do the next thing. She doesn't get to chose . If some one said "No, really cool things happen" I would give it an other chance. But there are a lot of shows I just lost intertest in Hamster & Gretel i, Big City Greens, Kiff, Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Im just not pulled in. Im also sleeping threw other shows lkike Jellystone!, Abominable , Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, Wizards Tales of Arcadia, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles, Alvin !!!, Smurfs etc Im just now drawn in. I need a show that does something new maybe has a romance or discusses a previously taboo subject or spotlights a new culture. I want to give Oye Primos a chance to see if its like Loud House or not. Even Loud House didn't get good in two episodes but drew me back in to keep trying. MLP FIM I didn't get in to the 1st two episodes I came in on a late season. I need more hype. A fan animation, a meme , more fan art. like Camp Camp I could watch some day maybe based on fan hype Craig of the Creek and Sumer Camp Island aren't as big a deal. Adventure Time I didn't pick up until Glitch is a Glitch and Simon & Marcey I just need that extra some things. I would even love a twist like "Completing the list will destroy the world stopping you saves the world" or "Stopping climate change erases a whole time line billions will never be born" that fish is a woke move on par with Norm of the North. In a real show that fish would be dead and chopped up. Just like how Norm never EATS the seals . Stop pushing vegetarianism on us. Kill and eat animals. That horse was too Woke too. She won it over because girl power? because she's nice? She should get tossed off the house and get all scraped up and bruised, see her fail and retry. Keep going till its right. Molly was fun ALL the time. This show just made me no care. here is an idea that would SELL me. Haily goes to the future, has a good time, makes friends then discovered THAT was the BAD future and if she completes her list, her friends won't be born. Moon Girl is awesome, I was sold in 2 episodes.

It definitely reminds be of S.V.T.F.O.E [Star vs the forces of evil] with the main character having a crush on her best friend but losing that chance but some episode's are definitely better then others, some are just very boring, I do like "Smells like queen spirt" that wss good but others i dont like it.

The one thing I really don’t like about Hailey’s on it is that they reference TOH almost too much. In the first episode, the tunnel of love. When Hailey became sheriff, she quoted Mattholomule “he is definitely a ghost”. Other than that it’s actually kinda funny. I still gotta finish s1 tho :pp

Valid point, I think after watching these episodes that they were not trying to reference TOH, the tunnel of love was a plot point of the episode and not a silly thing in the back round, It could be a reference though I'm not sure. But the mattholomule one seems like a reference. Then again that's only 2 times. I feel like people kinda relate shows together since TOH and Amphibia were so similar and close to each other, but I feel like these new shows are starting to branch off from being connected in a sense of simularity.

I actually really like this show, I have watched every show ever almost (100+ fully through) and I find it really difficult to find a good one these days, but HOI has me smiling every time i watch a new episode. Also something i haven't seen anyone talk about yet is the music, I LOVE THE MUSIC. It was stuck in my head for like 5 days. Some things are really strange, like scotts sister having a crush on hailey, it felt kinda random and i dont know how they are going to finish that plot but i hope thy dont turn it into a little joke for laughs and giggles, cause that feels kinda wierd imo but i digress. Also, dcot kinda reminds me of steven from SU, at first hes just silly, but then he finds out th harsh reality of the situation that he and haileyare in, i think that he is going to get a lot of character development. I also feel like almost everything that most people consider, strange and random had its place and will reaveal its self to be a very major plot point invthe near future. ()

I honestly really like the show, however, I do see all of your criticisms looking back on it(I personally think Scott is really funny though). I like it, but not on the same level as other disney cartoons. It does feel like it gets a bit better as it goes on, but they also really drag on the Hailey kissing Scott thing, which is frustrating because they can do a lot of interesting things with the premise but they decided to choose that kiss to be the main driving force for conflict. I do find it really funny and creative and personally like the animation though.

The series reminds me of "Milo Murphy's Law".

I feel like If I want to like or watch this show I need it to impress me somehow. Which is hard but because of hooty (the clips of its comedy) and progressive story is how I started watching the owl house. The gravity falls crossover is how I fell in love with amphibia. But because I’m a bit more in the Disney channel community I think I can learn this show faster .Currently I don’t want to watch this show. I know I’m going exactly what your saying about comparing to owl house and amphiba but I just don’t like episodic shows

Im i think its weird for me to say that probably the shows best approches is 1 build up to its finally, showing us that all the episodes and troubles were all meant for this finally to happen which is basically just sprinkle a healthy enough of plot into every 3 episodes of the season until it disenvolves into the finally. Personally i think the other approach would be deconstructing the character like owl house did with luz maybe Haily fails, and goes into the future into the next season and we can see the cause and effect of her errors IF SHE FAILS TO SAVE THE WORLD. Eventually probably saving it with some time travel shannanigansss probably DISNEY STYLES.

I don’t think you mentioned a certain scene in the first episode(I think) where haylee and Scott go through the tunnel of love, A lot of people think that was copied from knock knock knocking on Hootys door from the owl house but I thought I might just Pont that out

New episodesof the show is getting better and I really love the premise of the show and I always forget there are new episodes every weekends or so and I always forgot the new episodes of this show because of molly mcgee and there are songs that are pretty catchy too

Beta is my favorite character in the show and I wish he could interact with other people besides Hailey and Scott (trust me he gets better as time goes on)

It would be interesting if future Scott was the one sending the robots and the villain. Maybe while the bucket list helps Hailey, it unintentionally ruins Scott’s life.

I haven’t seen this show yet, and don’t plan to, but I feel like the reason it isn’t good is as said in the video, the pacing is too quick Something gravity falls, owl house, and amphibia did well is that season one kinda gives you the characters and a feel for them, along with the world they live in etc, then gives you a small bit of plot at the end of said first season to kind of give you an idea of the threat they’ll be facing in the future Those are just my thoughts, but one thing that makes shows good is pacing and characters and how they help with the pace and plot

I am watching it, rn on episode 22. Mostly this show is just filler episodes where they just do stuff (like the second episode with taco competotion). But then closer to episode 20 they started showing more stuff related to the plot with the future and chaos bots. Episode 20 is a double length episode with more plot important stuff happening! After this episodes kept going taco. I'm interested, but i don't expect something big.

just saying, it'd have been really cool if you made a video about rodamrix's among us series !! ( it isn't some cringe animated series; it actually has emotional moments, funny moments, and a lore. ) this is just my suggestion, it'd be totally fine if you didn't ! but yeah, it'd be pretty cool if you did a commentary about it c: ( i'm talking about the main story, but the alternate is also cool!! )

I think it would be awesome if Kristine broke up with Scott and he actually starts to have feelings for her but shes not interested anymore and it sets him on a path where he becomes the villain and they all go to the future and do some character building stuff. Idk😅

Honestly it was ok, the characters is alright, and the show try to be another big adventure dealing with higher stakes like previous shows but overall it’s messy. It’s fine though and maybe watch it if I’m really really really bored

Glad I'm not the only one who's not exactly crazy about the show. The fate of the world relying on a random teenager finishing her bucket list has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I definitely agree about Scott being painfully stupid and Kristine basically being Andrea but worse. I only like the voice acting.

i also thought the designs and animation looked really cheap and the future girl looked like she was from inside job or something- im not sure why since you cant really blame it on puppet animation since Bluey has puppet animation yet is probably the best animated cartoon of this decade.

I was considering watching this, but hearing that the plot is basically "if you don't complete of your bucket list of random stuff we're fucked" thats so stupid im so sorry. They should've went with the slice of life show, just an introvert completing their bucket list.

Honestly, Scott is the worst character. Not that he does anything horrible, he's definitely most annoying, but he's not a standout in a cast that also is only a one-bit joke. No, it's because how am I suppose to believe ANYONE would fall for this generic dumb guy, let alone two people. If the entire premise is "I need to kiss my best friend but am struggling to do so", you REALLY need to sell the bond between the best friend and the main character, and why she would like him so much. But every time he's on screen I just go "Really?? That's the one you're picking?? Okay." That can change, and I hope it does, there ARE glimmer's of hope, like I actually really liked him in Kristine's quincenera, the dumb traits mixed with the loyal and supportive traits in a really fun, funny, sweet way. Hopefully they keep going with that.

I'm all caught up, but I yet to watch the most recent episode. I am enjoying it so far. I like the characters (Becker, Kristine), it's very funny and then there's the music. "Splatter of the Bands" is one of my favorites so far. As much as I like the serialization of some shows, I miss the fillers in which we'd have ragtag team-ups of characters that we'd like or not. The animation and humor/writing are very keen to previous shows like Owl House and Amphibia. It feels like the right show for the summer, and it also reminds me of Phineas and Ferb from the shenanigans that happen. I wasn't big on Phineas and Ferb when it first came out, but I grew interested later on and I love it now. So, guys, don't judge so quickly ;)

Amphibia had its first season as the slice of life two eleven minute segment episodes, and Owl House too had episodic world and character building as its first season (as did Gravity Falls), so it’s not inconsistent for Hailey’s On It to do the same. Establish who these people are, the world they live in and develop them a bit as individuals and their relationships before going into the larger plot arc proper. You’ve only done three episodes, or five storylines, characters do get developed and there’s more to the overarching plot such as more specifics on how Hailey saves the world (the Professor does say she can’t spoil too much, which plays more into the self-fulfilling prophecy aspect of time travel narratives). The next twenty minute episode is a major one. Tonally it feels like the formula of Phineas and Ferb with the plot arc of Amphibia or Owl House, a project of the day but a larger story behind it that gets built on.
