DC. It is erroneously reported they sang the word “Dixie”. Not so.

🏈"Hail to the Redskins"! Fight for old D.C.! Wow this is retro, I love it! 🏈 Was this for the former Boston Redskins? I shall assume so! The Redskins moved to Washington in 1937. (?) I wasn't sure about the date of this song. LoL 🏈

There was no team in Atlanta or Carolina back then so the Redskins did own the south.

@@columbia1930 Hi there, thanks for your comment! I totally agree/concur of course! I wonder if there is any truth to the version of "fight for old Dixie"?! LOL My family was wondering about that. The team did represent the south then after all. Just a random thought. 🏈

@@DCBARNONE89 I don’t think so. Listen close to the words. It’s DC not Dixie. We were the team for most of the south, however. Just coincidence.
