You have to hold the on button for 3 seconds until you see it flash. Then the flashlight is operable. If you hold it for another 3 seconds the flashlight will deactivate and enter off mode. If you are using the batteries provided, then you have to remove the protective stickers on the bottom of each battery before using the flashlight.

I assume that the batteries used (XTAR with PCB) are simply too weak. They are specified as 10A. I bet the protective circuit in the turbo is activated The lamp should need around 75A in the turbo
