It’s quite a coincidence that both Rahman and Shivamani’s names are god’s names and likewise they both have that divine connection with each other and to music 🎼 ! Though he was not as eloquent as Rajeev Menon in explaining those nuances, what he told about that 🎹 programming where ARR locks certain sounds and keep it for later use is amazing and that shows how organised he has been to pull his entire craft together! Ofcrs, the way he magically samples each and every sound and then mixes them so eloquently in his recordings is something every Rahman fans if not music fans vouch for always. He’s so good at changing the texture of the original sound and voices that instead of sounding artificial they only get more enhanced and add to his musical extravaganza! If it amazed a drummer like Shivamani, it could amaze anyone in this world and that’s what catapulted ARR as a world renowned genius! As Mani Ratnam and many others have said, his music had set such benchmarks that it has challenged and evolved many other art departments in the the movie industry. Truly, Rahman is god gifted! Never before, never after there’s anyone like him!!

Hello, one suggestion - you can also focus on other films of Rahman apart from Roja, Bombay, Rangeela etc. A lot of other films like RDB, Lagaan, Rockstar, Tamasha, JNTYJN, Ok Jaanu can also be talked about in detail. The list can be never ending though.😊

Pretty hard to measure the impact this phenomenal brotherhood of AR and Sivamani (+ flute Naveen perhaps) have had on his output. An unending collaboration that has graced us through the ages. That’s evident in all these brilliant episodes and what makes it more worthwhile is its demonstration live. Hatebots (often human) decry his ‘artificial’ sound but your program slaps them hard in their faces with reality. True talent can never be faked, technology or otherwise It is in fact a virtue of generational growth and adaptation that AR displays, embracing technology to further music, and demonstrating to this and upcoming generations that tech is but a useful tool to embellish your inborn gifts and not an easy foil to replace your creativity. To an extent, your episodes are becoming repetitive. Sivamani is a great percussionist but has limited expression. The songs quoted in most of the episodes are the same from Roja, Rangila etc. Also, don't stretch episodes beyond a point. These are my suggestions and not criticism. Hope it will be taken in right spirit.
