    Komnenit, you are Historically incorrect. The Greeks and Romans were ILLITERATE. How do I know this... Because they had no Learning Institutions. Further the Greek Script is not the script of the Greek people. It belongs to the Ancient Egyptians. It is from them that the Greeks learned their culture. That Church was commissioned by Justinian and finished on 27th December 537. It was actually built by African Architects and Builders to commemorate the Kristos and the Kristiokas, renamed the Theotakas.

    @cam3lopard They stand the test of time. Correct. That's because the Europeans cannot bring themselves to admit the Truth. Europeans did not have the knowledge of extracting shaping and building with stone in that heat. They would get skin cancer. That's why the Ancient Egyptians left a legacy of Monuments and Temples in stone. Research the Moors in Spain who brought civilization there.

  • @kbora3581

    @kbora3581

    5 жыл бұрын

    @cam3lopard The Church of Kristos and Kristokas now known as the Hagia Sophia was built by African Architects and builders. Built 532 to 537 finished on 27th December. That day was celebrated for 916 years was the birth of the Kristos. If you look at that church with the dome, that knowledge was only in the hands of African builders. When Christianity moved to Rome, Eugenius IV and then Nicholas V began the construction of St Peters Basilica in 1445, using the Moors, financed by the Capitalists. St Paul's Cathedral followed in the 16th Century, the White House in America was built in the 18th Century again by the Moors who were expelled from Spain. Do your research on Moorish Spain, who are descendants of the Ancient Egyptians. They brought a higher Civilisation and built the cities of Cordoba, Granada, Alhambra Castle to name a few places, you don't need to look far to find this out. At this time the Spanish were non literate, savage and had a murder mind set. See history of the Massacre of the Native Americans. The rest of Europe had a sanitation problem, the Great Plague in the 17th Century and the Black Death in the 14th Century. Europe did not develop under the Greeks or the Romans because they were illiterate. Do your research.

    @cam3lopard No No No you have been miss informed by European Lies. There was no or little Greco Roman influence in the west. There was only the east, known as Byzantium. They were finally usurped by the Ottoman Turks in 1453. The Moors were invited into the land area today we call Spain and in 700 years a higher order civilisation was introduced. Do your research.

    When I taught English in Istanbul/Constantinople 2006 I visited the church eight times and I spent about 3 hours each visit. As an ethnic Greek it was very sacred and hard to leave. I also sat on a park bench between the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and just stared at this magnificent church and the flowers and water fountain added to the beauty. I generally reserve this for nature like my hike today in the mountainous Arizona high desert.

    It is an Orthodox Cathedral, it is Greek, its name is Hagia Sophia and the city's name is Constantinople (aka 'Istanbul' from the words 'Is Tin Poli' which means 'At The City') and remember that the Greeks shall return to unveil the figures that were scrapped off or covered and offer it to the whole humanity as its presence is of universal value and its meaning wraps up a constellation of peaceful and sacred values that barbarians who conquer for the sake of authority and expansion are sublimely unaware of. PS: the name Turks use to refer to the cathedral is Ayasofya and that name is ...Greek.

    Opridai 206 Go read Quran properly what Allah speaks of stealing and coveting a true Muslim will not steal others property. Holy Quran Says - And eat up not one another’s property unjustly (in any illegal way e.g. stealing, robbing, deceiving, etc.), .nor give bribery to the rulers (judges before presenting your cases) that you may knowingly eat up a part of the property of others sinfully. (Quran 2:188) Now my take on this matter is if a mosque was taken up by some Christians it must be returned back to the worshippers. So what happened to Sultan Mehmet’s Empire it was destroyed and eradicated with time. So were Romans and Mughals. Wrath of Allah will be on those who do not follow him correctly🤝🤝🤝🙏🙏

The Hellenic saying: Εις την Πόλην / Is tin Pòlin means ‘’to The City’’ Is tin Polin Is tin Pol IsTinPol Istanbul ...........Hellenic 🇬🇷 They may hung all these nonsense around, they may cover all of the Hagiographies around, they may built another 10 minarets around... Hagia Sofia was, is and forever will be an Orthodox Church! They want to pray in it? Fine! I wonder what other religion’s believers would accept to pray in another religion’s temple! They pray inside a Church...🤯🤯🤯 They pray under the Pantokràtor! They pray under the Holy Mary! Are they not ashamed of that as sooooo strong Muslim believers??? Perhaps they want to pray to Jesus! Agia Sofia was constructed in the 6th century under Emperor Justinian. The head of the Roman Empire was moved from Rome to Byzantium, which was renamed Constantinople. The city was renamed after Emperor Constantine, who declared Christianity the official religion in the 4th Century. The move from Rome to Constantinople also reflects the change from pagan worship to Christianity. The gold mosaic icons of God, the Holy Trinity, the Holy Theotokos and our Holy Saints will always be venerated with reverence and respect in this church. Agia Sofia is for all Orthodox Christians throughout the world and for those who want to get close to God. Peace be to all.

Ayasofya has completed it’s time as church and as a mosque. Now it is the world’s cultural legacy for all human’s to see. Istanbul has many many mosques to worship. This was not a need, it’s only a politicial step.

But the Emir Abd al-Raḥmān had the brilliant idea of destroying the Christian church To build on top of the destroyed Christian Visigoth church a mosque over it. ;)

    Reading some of the comments here is fairly depressing, the fact this building is still standing is a testament to to the original builders and maybe even more so to the Ottomans who invaded and kept the building alive as a place of worship to God. That some of the christian artwork even survived as it was turned into a mosque is in my opinion a miracle. If i was an invading general with a new Empire to build, i would probably have obliterated forever any of the christian artwork that was in my new mosque, that the building survived at all after 1453 is unbelievable. I think those minarets make the building look much more beautiful than before. I seem to remember seeing a documentary about the last years of the Byzantine empire, the emperor sent an emissary to Rome looking for help for the coming war with the Ottomans, he needed soldiers to help defend Constantinople, but the popes price for this was for the emperor to disown his Orthodox Christian beliefs, and to come back to the one true church, and on the brink of catastrophe for Constantinople, the Emperor sent word to the pope that he would agree to all the popes demands, and actually did so in writing, and this letter is in the Vatican archives, But it came too late to save the once great Byzantine Empire. Maybe someone would know if this is true or not.

    1. The Greek word "πορεύο" (porneio) means "prostitution". So they named that place that way because of prostitution, not the other way around. Pornography "porneio" (prostitution) + "grapho" (depiction) has greek etymology as many international terms. 2. Saint Empress Theodora did practice prostitution, but after an encounter with Patriarch Timothy III on the streets of Constantinople she converted to Christianity. It's not her previous life which makes her virtuous, but her example of abandoning the ways of sin and dedicating to Christian life. Such examples exist in Christianity such as St. Mary the Egyptian who used to practice prostitution and converted to Christianity, becoming a nun and practicing ascetic life. They are examples of determination in changing ur life for virtue. Ur argument in which Emperor Justinian is bad because he married a former prostitute is invalid, as Prophet Solomon (Suleyman) lived all his life in virtue and for which he was granted wisdom, but when he was old he had over 500 concubines and he worshipped pagan idols. 3. Holy Wisdom Church is the core of Orthodox Christianity and the most known masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. Hapily (Inşallah) Attaturk decided to give back to Hagia Sophia its former Christian identity, uncovering the beautiful icons made in mosaic. Hagia Sophia became a place of coexistence between Muslims and Christians where they could both pray and admire this wonderful piece of architecture and art. This is no longer the case when the dictator Erdogan decided to put a plaster over the former identity of the Holy Wisdom Cathedral and make it an exclusive Muslim place. It s too much regrettable.

    @@alexandersohn569I agree with what you said about Teodora.I explained the historical event and the fact that she saved her Imperial husband ,Byzantium.I didn't write anything bad.I wrote that historians say that there are 30,000 human bones under your feet in Sultanahmed square. The mosaics were open until 1800.Some were painted over around the year 1800.Around 1850, The Architect Fossati worked at Hagia Sophia. However,it was very soon understood that he had taken away some of the works, corrupted some of them, and put up Masonic signs. In 1204, the Europeans did much damage to Hagia Sophia. They took away many statues and artifacts.Their first architect was pagan. They also say there are Pagan signs for him.I don't have that much information on me.I wanted to brief those who would travel alone

    To be fair, the Christians did the same thing to historic mosques and removed all traces of Islam from them. For example, the Great Mosque of Cordoba where they defiled the beautiful and unique interior by destroying the center of it and putting in a church. Then again, 500 years ago, nobody gave two shits about history and or preservation.

    Not only did the invading Muslim Turks desecrate and loot the great church but they also slaughtered or enslaved those Christians who took shelter there. The elderly were slaughtered. Those who were enslaved numbered about 30,000. Fall Of Constantinople: www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/constantinople.htm An observer describes the scene: "Nothing will ever equal the horror of this harrowing and terrible spectacle. People frightened by the shouting ran out of their houses and were cut down by the sword before they knew what was happening. And some were massacred in their houses where they tried to hide, and some in churches where they sought refuge. A contemporary depiction of the battle The enraged Turkish soldiers . . . gave no quarter. When they had massacred and there was no longer any resistance, they were intent on pillage and roamed through the town stealing, disrobing, pillaging, killing, raping, taking captive men, women, children, old men, young men, monks, priests, people of all sorts and conditions . . . There were virgins who awoke from troubled sleep to find those brigands standing over them with bloody hands and faces full of abject fury. This medley of all nations, these frantic brutes stormed into their houses, dragged them, tore them, forced them, dishonored them, raped them at the cross-roads and made them submit to the most terrible outrages

    Kemal wanted Turkey to be secular because he understood that religion and worship are personal decisions of faith that have to be free of state sponsorship. Kemal wanted Turkey to progress and be free from a hostile takeover by Britain, Greece, and others in 1922. He supported a liberal nation that supported Western ideals. Kemal's policies were not perfect, but he wanted the best for Turkey when he dissolved the Sultanate. Kemal's mistake was how he used the military to enforce secularism instead of giving that decision to the Turkish people. Erdogan's actions bother me because I doubt he has the conviction to believe what he is trying to build is best for the Turkish people. Slowly he is making a velvet dictatorship through religion and the past history of the Ottoman Empire. I doubt he actually cares about the religion of Islam because power is his religion. I have Turkish friends who are Muslims that support the idea of living in a peaceful nation with citizens of other faiths. We share grave concerns that Turkey's progress since 1922 will take their country down a path of ruin. I am fascinated by Turkey and want to learn more about it. Why would Erogan want to return Turkey's nation to the days of the Ottoman Empire when they were the "sick man of Europe"? In 1922, Kemal understood that secularism was the path forward for the Turkish nation although his policies were incomplete. My concern goes towards my friends and their families who live in Turkey.

    Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah himself said, "O Children of Israel, you shall worship GOD; my Lord and your Lord." Anyone who sets up any idol beside GOD, GOD has forbidden Paradise for him, and his destiny is Hell. The wicked have no helpers.
