Hadith: Haste is from Satan and Calm is from God

www.spiritualexcellence.com/i...
Although our lives are now commonly characterized by rush and haste, living in constant hurry is very detrimental to your health, wellbeing and ultimate success.
If we do not learn to slow down and retake control over our energy, emotions and state, chronic stress and anxiety will increasingly take a damaging toll on our lives and our wellness.
Yet by learning to slow down, relax and live from a place of presence, peace, rootedness and relaxation, we in fact become infinitely more effective, productive and successful.
In this short video, I discuss how technological dependence has resulted in a scarcity of time, how our thoughts, beliefs and subsequent actions determine our experience of reality, the importance of learning to deepen our level of presence in the moment, drawing nearer unto the Divine Presence of Light and thereby allowing the expansion of time, and much more.
To learn more about retaking control of your state and improving your overall health and wellness, all the while deepening your spiritual presence and relationship with your Creator, please join us in the Islamic Meditation Program, www.spiritualexcellence.com/is....

This is absolutely beautiful and much needed, Brother Ihsan. As the year comes to an end and we naturally tend to get more reflective of the past year and setting intention for the coming year, slowing down comes to mind more and more. Slowing down is becoming more urgent in our hearts over time. The way we are going is just not sustainable and it beginning to just NOT feel right anymore. I see this topic discussed in so many circles. Thank you.

'....sit and breathe and be with your creator..............true surrender is surrender of the mind...' My 73 birthday today........my Muslim friends here in Christchurch NZ have over recent months opened my eyes to the grace and harmony with all things natural which I understand is the true state of Islam/ Peace. However, I have been searching for the meditative thread, available to us all when we 'surrender our minds' to The Creator. What a gift Br. Ihsan, to discover the wisdom you share, at the beginning of this new year of life. Alhamdullilah!

As-salamu alaykum brother, This hadith adds to what you are saying. Although Prophet Muhammad was taking long in unusual parts of the salah, this was still the quickest salah. Slowing down is actually how you speed up. Malik said: I did not offer prayer behind anyone more brief than the one offered by the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) and that was perfect. When the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: “Allah listens to him who praises Him,” he stood long we thought that he had omitted something; then he say takbir(Allah is most great) and prostrate, and would sit between the two prostrations so long that we thought that he had omitted something. Sahih (Al-Albani) Sunan Abi Dawud, 853 In-Book Reference: Book 2, Hadith 463 English Reference: Book 2, Hadith 852 Get Hadith Collection (All in one) App gtaf.org/apps/hadith #GreentechApps #GTAF #Hadith #ShareAHadith It didn't make sense to me how it can be long and brief at the same time but your video explains it.

Assalamualaikum brother. I’ve been watching your videos on and off for a while and am pleased to hear another Muslim discuss the spiritual elements of Islam, which I feel is lacking in today’s world. As I meditate more and more, I am feeling a dislike for the 5 prayers and don’t see why I can’t just meditate or mention Allah swt in my own way through dhikr or simple awareness. Why does Allah swt care specifically how I pray to Him? It’s especially tough for me since I’m not a native speaker and aside from the hassle from learning Arabic, I feel meditation having a more significant impact on my spirituality. This also has me questioning why it matters what religion I have if I can simply know Allah swt through meditation and awareness. I hope you can answer these questions. Thank you

Brother Ihsan I have a question.... You said that if you believe that there is not enough time then our world becomes that. But should we live life as if we have all the time in the world? Become procrastinator? I am not grasping the concept. In shaa Allah may Allah grant me understanding. Ameen.

Greetings and salaams. Procrastination is a different type of problem. The key is to be active and in action, yet not "rushed." The goal is to live life productively and actively in a state of flow rather than haste, anxiety and worry. Hope that helps clear things up. Towards this end, it is essential to develop presence through daily practice. The Islamic Meditation Program is an invaluable resource for this, www.spiritualexcellence.com/islamicmeditation. To your divine and eternal success.
