I’ve never lived in a van. As a kid we did go camping a lot and that has always stayed with me. But living in a sticks and bricks building has advantages and disadvantages true. So does a van. But what I like about your vanlife is that you can have a different view everyday. That is amazing and truly rewarding.

Being able to jump in the front is something that is very important to a lot of female van dwellers, and was important to me when deciding on my vehicle. Now, two years on, I’m pretty grateful I stuck to that. The little 4 window green bus isn’t very stealthy, but I can get in the driver’s seat pretty directly.

Now I just realized THATS GOING TO BE A NO!!!! i do not want to be climbing out to run to the front if danger approaches...a bear..a gang..drunks etc. IM TOO OLD TO RUN!!!! i want to be safe inside and ready to go!!!! KEYS IN THE IGNITION AS I SLEEP...just in case. i will be having a LARGE dog on board and a hatchet!! as i do in my car.. thanks for the wake up call!!! STAY SAFE

Exactly why I'm in my shuttle bus... anything goes wrong, I'm out! Was in a Meijer parking lot and it was long before closing time. A white SUV pulled up next to me. The guy didn't realize someone was inside... he was walking around the bus telling whoever was on the other line to "bring the Big truck" ... he was going to tow me! I was a customer! He didn't even knock on my door... he was just going to tow me! He pulled away, I jumped in the driver seat and left... was crazy! So yeah! The ability to just skiddadle, is a great and convenient security option.

You made me think of a situation in which I found myself. I was cutting across country, west to east. In Ontario I pulled over, middle of night, to sleep on side of road. Woke up to a guy banging on my F250 window saying he was the police and to "open up." I said "let's see your badge." He cups his hand and says "there." Meanwhile I noticed through the side mirror a red sports car immediately behind me. I turned on ignition and blasted out of there. I regret not first backing up and gunning it into his sports car. I stayed awake for the next 18 hours --- till I got home in New York.

I used to camp in that area as kid. Burns Lake has always been kinda rough.

I don’t think it’s much different. Either way, we do what we need to do. Mine is a .45 and I know how and not afraid to use it.

Thanks for sharing. Love to see the real stuff. Been thinking about whether I should remove the bulkhead or not but now I know the answer. I was gonna take off the top half and leave the rest but will see if I can get through the top half quickly 😀😀

They sell an alarm / PA System. For about $25 on EBay. If someone is trying to open your van you just get on it and let them know the police have been called or something.

Glad you mentioned dj thing. You edit, add music, and all that. Could or would you make a video of what software you use, and how you edit. Show how you add music, cut, everything you do. I mean start from finish. I want to do my own You Tube page, but editing and the technical stuff is overwhelming.

Hi Chrome, I watch most of your videos lately, it called my attention this one, about safety being inside your Van; I recommend you to watch @eamon&beck episode about building their new Van safety features, there are some locks available for Van (similar to a home lock). Thanks for your videos, stay safe!
