It has happened to multiple franchises and always in one direction (removing a popular male character and replacing him with a female character) and after it was obvious that Depp was probably not guilty, Disney still didn't beg him to come back. Had they fired one of their best known characters SIMPLY because of the allegations, don't you think that they would have been anxious to get him back when his name was cleared?

But if they already have an unstable emotional state whether that be because of abuse, tragedy, or inherited mental illness, a story like that will not help them. And it's not just one story either, the little mermaid is just an example, there are so many Disney movies that promote women giving up everything they have for a man, and when that is shown to you time and time again (especially when someone is a child with limited life experience), it seems normal.

As far as “in the schools” goes, teachers and administrators did not create (and most actually don’t support) sex Ed in schools. *Sex Ed was created by doctors* as a way to address an alarming rise in underage pregnancies and STIs…since parents don’t…for some reason.. Becausee in some religious families they think not talking about it will help avoid temptation, that it's not proper etc. And in other families they leave that for school or sex ed. Problem is in some cases you end up with kids not realizing they are being groomed because they have no idea about anything and in others kids are curious because they won't get any info at home. SOmetimes you end up with adults who have no idea either or in one of my friend's cases traumatized about all the blood and thinking she was going to die at 14. It's complicated and some parents just won't talk about it at all.

Ofc i do NOT want my 14 year old doing it but once they turn 18 and their still living with me, as long as its safe (condom AND birth control involved), i dont mind it as its a normal thing and every human does it eventually (except for asexual people and stuff but still). Its just like alcohol, if you dont allow a tiny bit on occasion, you're teen will try and steal it from you or worse, from a store. If you dont want your teen doing something behind your back, you need to set boundaries and rules. You never know, your kid might never ever get married. You all need to stop pushing your kids into doing things YOU approve and let them do their own thing, whether they dont believe in your religion or they're lgbtq+ and you/your family and traditions reject that kind of 'behavior'. Yes its the parents choice but i just do not agree with the sex after marriage. Yes, teen pregnancy is an issue but that doesn't mean their parents said "you dont have to wait till marriage", its probably the fact that you push not doing it till marriage. Stop forcing your kids into stuff they dont believe in, causing them to rebel. Im a teenager for gods sakes! I know how we are and that we do dumb shit to make our parents mad.

My 3 year old nephew found out about lgbtq+ and now he says that hes pan (idek how he remembered or took in any of that) and he has been kissing his dog, the cats, and his siblings on the lips because of it and he wont stop. I just think waiting until they turn 10 to 13, depending on your parenting style, is the best way.

from that one statement i can see you havent seen other perspectives, some people unlike you could get fired for pulling sick days and have to work even when theyre sick, not everyone can get 2 months of and not be fired, my mother used to work a 8-6 and had 2 months of days off, no excuses, no way to get more, and it payed small, i am not whinning i am just saying that not everybody has a husband who is loaded, some of us dont even have a husband.

I didn’t start watching TV until my mid 30s, and it’s one of the best gifts that my mother gave me because she did not allow her kids to watch TV except for one or two shows a year that she approved. She stored the television on a cart with wheels in her bedroom closet and would roll it out of her closet for us to watch Thanksgiving and Christmas cartoons, then roll it back into her closet for the rest of the year. I continued the habit of not watching tv until my mid 30s. My mind was free, healthy, and discerning, and I always had plenty of time for everything. Maybe it’s time to roll the television back into the closet.

You know, I used to make fun of the people that did that, calling them "hippies," which wasn't even right....they were probably more Christian, than hippie. 😂 Anyway, I threw our cable and television out when my youngest children, twins, were 12, in 2014. It really was the best decision I have ever made. We live in the country, so my children played outside a lot. My twins just turned 20, and neither of them are even on social media that much. It really is a good thing, to throw the TV out.

I also stopped buying any and all things Disney. I saw a cute Nightmare Before Christmas soba bowl that I wanted to get for my gs. Also saw some family matching pajamas that would have been cute to wear when the grandkids stayed overnight. Saw that they had Disney logos AND both were made inchina. Double whammy. No sale! Well WHAT is disney doing? WHAT are they saying? WHICH movie included the pornography? HOW is disney grooming anyone? WHAT are the aspects he would arrest someone for? All those words yet no content. He is saying so much yet nothing at all😂 ofc movies have a certain influence! Fairy tales and other stories always have a lesson or a moral to learn! THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE THERE FOR! To a hardcore racists those old racist disney movies are going to be prime child entertainment as that's the morals they want their kids to learn. To someone who doesn't want for their kids to get influenced by racist media those movies are trash. Why is disney movies teaching or at least showing kids compassion, acceptancd and general love for others soooo terrible to conservatives? They really want for their kids to become the same hateful bigots they are

Im a mother of two young children, I have another on the way…. The talks I’ve have to had with my kids already, I wish this wasn’t a reality but it is and I think it’s important our children are informed and ready

Yes! More parents need to be like you. As a youth pastor I've seen too many parents just shelter their kids without informing them, or tell them why these things aren't good.

@@Kmm-20 I used to think that way, too, but if they don't hear it from you, they're going to hear it from the world; they might even discover it by accident. For example did you know many kids discover porn by accident? And they said it on this video, even kid shows have this indoctrination. If they didn't get prepared by you then they'll be easily be deceived. I agree with what Alyssa said, I wish this wasn't reality, but it is.
