I just today used a new M18 Milwaukee Hackzall with the HackOPS adapter installed despite any real helpful instructions other than looking at photos, videos etc---that's disappointing. Next up I noticed the standard Equalizer 3" x 10" blade slaps the windshield considerably which could be nearly eliminated by lengthening the sheath portion of this adapter. Had I been tying to save this windshield I'm not sure the excessive slapping would not have caused issues. Along with the possible damage to an otherwise savable windshield lengthening the sheath of this adapter would help extend the life of any blade, Equalizer or Tornado.

Thanks for the advice I will look into it. I noticed a little slap in the beginning but after getting used to the longer throw and using enough water to help cut out the windshield the slap is gone.

@@HackOPSTools Thanks for the reply and I do hope you look into my suggestion. This is a nice addition to the Milwaukee Hackzall for windshield removal. I will be using this set up again soon and eventually acquire a bit more experience with this but so far the Equalizer 360 120VAC tool is my first choice. I do think over the longer term the HackZall won't last as long as the other Milwakee/Equalizer tools as its just not as heavy duty BUT this is a nice inexpensive powered cut out tool that's perfectly suited to occasional use. I've been using my Eqalizer 360 for about 11 years now and its still going strong.

I can't speak for the DeWalt tools Equalizer or GT Tools sell but the Milwaukee versions as sold by Equalizer are definitely NOT off-the-shelf Sawzall tools. They have their stroke modified better accommodate the optimal Equalizer blade cutting action. I learned this from DIY repairing one of the 360 degree tools.
