Hopefully the clamp wasn't usable but still, they do make fairly cheap tools that do the same thing. Cats Paw comes to mind.

You can, but there was no pre-heat or post-heat like you HAVE to do with cast. It's pretty fucking hard to do tbh. Most welders and welding shops turn away cast because it's so easy to fuck up.

An actual cats paw is only like $10. Why destroy a clap to “make” something that will inevitably fail. Also, there are other ways to weld something other then laying down a million cold tack welds.

Ich finde es nicht schlecht Werkzeuge zu modifizieren, doch würde ich auf dass richtige Material achten! Das Gusseisen von der Klemme wäre daher nur für sehr leichte Arbeiten zu gebrauchen! Trotzdem kann man dies weiter Entwickeln! Ob sich der Aufwand lohnt ist in diesen Fall etwas anderes, da solch ein Tool günstig zu kaufen gibt!
