I was in Advanced Choir in Junior High School and High School and sang in my church choir ever since I was little and I can tell you without that she has one of the sharpest and clearest contralto voices I've ever heard. I'm an alto, but can do soprano.

Whatever her tonality is - she is amazing! So free and natural!

It sounds really good! Her tone is so warm and rich, and her chest voice is developed. Many young women nowadays lack this feature and they sound a bit comical, but this lady has very nice and developed registers :)

Sigh… the mezzo police are at it again. You all come in different cultures as well I see. LOL. Sheesh. Which stone tablet is it written on that a contralto must sound like a young baritone? It’s a female voice part. A woman will always sound like a woman regardless of how low she sings in the same way you can discern a male singer in his head voice or falsetto because the nuances in the voices are different.

Well some especially low contraltos sound almost like high baritones or low tenors. But you're right about the fact that some people out there set the bar a bit too high on the darkness in timbre of contraltos and mezzo-sopranos. Exaggerating the vocal characteristics of fachs these days is very common. However, there are also people who underestimate how low contraltos are, and how rare. For example, Adele is not a contralto.

If girl can take D3 she is contralto. Contralto also has C5 in head register.
