As an average prone foiler I can confirm that after trying the 1080 everything advertised is true. Probably the most amazing step up in any sporting equipment that I have ever experienced.

Better than the Unifoil Progression 140/170?

@@seandoogin I was lucky enough to have a short go on the Progression 170 and it did feel pretty good. However it probably wasn't enough to base a comparison on. I was previously using the HA925 and just starting to get the hang of it but it was tricky. Before that I was on the MA1225 which I was going ok on but never really felt like I had enough speed or glide. This new foil just takes all the instability out of the picture and provides a huge amount of support on the pump. To be honest I was on the verge of looking at a whole new prone set up as I was getting frustrated. Unifoil, Lift and F One were the contenders. The new HA saved me having to throw my whole set up away. I need good gear to make up for my lack of skill.

@@Toastypie1 I currently have the 1550v2 and the HA925. The 925 is definitely tricky and is not forgiving. When people pump by on the Progression 170 it looks so effortless. Trying not to drop $2k on the full unifoil setup and this would help accomplish that. Wondering if I’m just prolonging the inevitable.

@@seandoogin I pretty much learnt on the 1550 and that was great. Unifoil was one of the top contenders for a changeover but I reckon you should demo the new HA. Try the 1080 to start. I also use 795 perf mast and 180 tail. I really think Armstrong have nailed it.

@@RamonSBruhn the HA is awesome if your riding less energy and want great glide, I still prefer the MA when in waves, they turn unbelievably and sit in the pocket better.

If I'm using the HA925 with wing foils, what size of the new HA would you recommend? I'm currently using 4, 5 and 6m wings with the HA925.

Hey there JP....The new HAs ride bigger than the V1s, so we suggest the HA880 would be the right option for you.

@@armstrongfoils The previous HA(v1) was quite difficult to operate until you got used to it, but what specifically has changed in the new HA(v2)?
