"Journey beyond the Amagi gap(天城越え Amagi-goe)"
Impossible to keep a secret , Lingering scent of mating
Stained you unawares
I would rather kill you than see you love someone else.
The rumpled bed for affair, Hidden inn,
Zigzag winding road, Jōren Falls
Flying high, Swaying fall
Oh Darling, over your shoulder
The mountain is burning
No matter what may happen, I will love you.
Passing through the flaring fire
With you, I'm gonna get to
Journey beyond the Amagi-gap
---
Everytime you say, you gona brake off,
It's like stacking glasses in my heart,
Even if I am with you, I feel cold.
Even if its a fake. I feel warm if only you get laid me.
Wasabizawa, is the hidden path,
In drizzling rain, Kanten bridge,
Even if I repeatedly hate you,
Darling, My body needs you.
The mountain is burning
Even if I can not turn back, It's okay
Crawling through the flaring hot ground,
With you, I'm gonna get to
Journey beyond the Amagi-gap
Hashirimizu , lost in love
Heavy furious winds, Amagi tunnel
Even if I repeatedly hate you,

Journey beyond the Amagi-gap
----------

@@FeelingShred This song illustrates the mood of a woman who has an affair with a married man. She knew in her heart that this man didn't belong to her after all, but she was addicted to sensuality and self-abuse, and she was reluctant to let go. Looking to the window of the affair hotel room, she hopes to follow the man across the nearby Tiancheng Mountain. It means that she hopes that this action will be like overcoming secular moral difficulties and have a good ending with this man. There are many discussions about desire in Japanese culture. This song describes the struggle of women who have had an affair.

Do you understand the meaning of 'hashirimizu' in the latter part of this song? No, I don't. That is why I look into the word and share information with you. I modified in some parts of Google translated sentences. Hashiri means running. Mizu means water. It is the "irrigation system" (irrigation = water management and adjustment) in order to save water, such as "hashirimizu" and "kakenagashi". "hashirimizu" is an "irrigation method" of stopping water supply to the extent that water runs on the soil of the rice fields. In some regions, a farmer hoists a flag on the highest point of the rice paddy, and when the water goes there, he or she will stop supplying water. "kakenagashi" is a more severe irrigation method than "hashirimizu". It is a way of flowing even a small amount of water accumulated in the irrigated field with "hashirimizu" to the next field. In this way, the rice field is called "the ultimate irrigation" simply by becoming "slightly wet".

@@FeelingShred I think she describes her intense emotions as the mountains appearing to burn. The two are having intense sex and the mountains appear to burn beyond the man's shoulders. There is also such an interpretation. This song is based on the famous suicide case that really happened on Mt. Amagi in the past. Amagi-san Shinju is a male student of Gakushuin University (20 years old at the time) who had been missing and searched for four days ago at Mt. Amagi on the Izu Peninsula on December 10, 1957. Two classmate girls, Aishin Kakura Eisei (19 years old at the time), were found dead in a state where O's pistol shot through his head. The 1957 case was in which two young people who were opposed to marriage committed suicide. In this song A wife who is about to die by killing a husband who can't part with mistress Or a woman who is about to die by killing a man who cannot part with his wife. Two interpretations.

Loved this song without understanding the lyrics. Now that I know the song's meaning it's even better :) Thanks! "Kita Monogatari" and "Natsu Musume" are my top favourite songs of her. Unfortunately these are nowhere to be found on KZread :( A translation of "Natsu Musume" (does it mean "Summer girl"?) would be great :)

🐻 Emotional cotton, heavenly. One piece and two pieces (one mountain, two mountains) of this heavenly wish pass, which hit the arrow of white feathers on the "mountain crossing" with the name "Amagi", are sometime modern Japanese legendary mythical songs. As if it were. The rather intense sound of the koto, as if adding a haunted red thread to it, seems to shoot through touching the chord of the human heart. It must have been the Amagi vein that had been prepared long before it was discovered in the course of the times. When I think so, my heart is throbbing and thrilling. Before this dramatic dramatic song of [Amagi-goe], literary writer Yasunari Kawabata wrote [Izu no Odoriko], which is also "emotional cotton, heavenly" (my coined word, but this [] While listening to the song of [Amagi-goe], I hope that this is also familiar to the heavens, but maybe it was [Amagi-goe], but compared to its innocent story, it is the present age. Apparently, it was this [Amagi-goe] that caught the eye of living horses in society. Even though it's dramatic, I really like the "Shigure scale", which is somewhere in the Japanese style. 🌸 Grace, based on my "Japanese", it's highly probable that Google Translate isn't always correctly converted to "English". In that case, please forgive me for the fact that there are some points that do not reach my point. With the help of a special winner, I hope that someday, in a more epoch-making world, I will be able to translate and interpret correctly into "English" based on my "Japanese". We are very much looking forward to it. Thank you for your cooperation. Well then.

@@FeelingShred All are right because she is trying to kill herself and him together, by going beyond Amagi. (So it's like going over a rainbow bridge in Western terms?) There are metafors in this lyrucs so there are different views, but what most of us understand is: 1. Hidden relationship (Her husband's affair) 2. She knows his affair 3. He is trying to leave her 4. She wants to stop him going by killing him and herself 5. "Mountain is burning" is a metaphor of her emotion 6. Going over Amagi is metaphor of going over rainbow bridge to die
