Oh my oh my oh my...I've got so much feels...Bear with me..
I dont know where to start..I cant believe its been 10 YEARS since Muhteşem Yüzyıl started...I remember watching the teasers for it in the summer of 2010 when I was just 13 and then countdowning the days since it finally started.
I remember sitting down and watching the show premiere , being mesmerized by it so much so that when they showed the same episode twice that night , I watched it again lol.
The years that followed it was just magical. It was truly something else to sit down with our little community every week , analyze the episodes , make theories out of every trailer for next week. We were a small fan group but many of us were good friends back then , I have such fond memories of it.
My love for this show got me so many things..First there were the amazing friends I had with some I still talk to very this day..
I loved Magnificent Century so much that even during my graduation (which fell on the same day as MC ) I was watching it secretly on my phone..*facepalm*
I even had the amazing chance to visit the actual set of the show and watch as they shot a scene..It was amazing to be there..
But also just for this show I learned how to edit , lol.
I started this in 2013 just to edit videos about Hürrem and here we are now , I am still doing the same lmao. Life comes a full circle indeed.
The main reason why I became obsessed with MC in the first place was Hürrem..Because 13 year old me was crazy about Ottoman History and my greatest idol , love , inspiration and crush was Hürrem. Her story amazed me , I traveled many times just to visit her grave and feel her presence.
And when they decided to make a show about her life , I knew I was gonna be a crazy fan of it..And here I am , after 10 years , still fan of this show as the first day ever.
And so I want to thank everyone ; Meryem Uzerli first because her Hürrem became something of a legend herself. And then to everybody who has been here with me , supporting me. My friends that I met here , I love you all very much.
Thank you Hürrem for being my fascination for more than 10 years.
