Oh boy..Here we go , where to start..
I find it so funny that I made an actual video about Hector when I hated him couple of years ago..lol..
My feelings for this man really took a 180 turn. I disliked him since a)he killed Patroclus who was my fav and b) cuz he seemed very coward and disrespectful to me after reading Iliad. (Also I supported Greeks like hell)
But now , I found myself actually understanding and adoring him because he is an amazing man. He is heroic , he loves his country , he is brave and he just does his best to protect his people. So I made my peace with the Hector in Iliad.
As for the movie version of him , HE IS THE BEST BOI EVER.Period.
Now as an Anatolian myself , Im supporting my Trojans and Im picking Troys side always. Here is my tribute to their most awesome man.

Brad Pitt gets all the shine in this movie (and his performance was excellent) but Eric Bana matched him scene for scene. A very underrated movie.

Eric was the best story and character in the film.
I just love his personality...hector is a true hero...his name will live for thousands of years..
He literally is the best character in Troye, so underrated! He's brave, fair, he fight among his men, he’s loyal to his family and country... (Yeah I rewatched the movie yesterday and now I'm obsessed) haha

What a great man he is ❤❤❤ his name lived and will live on for thousands of years ... probably Achilles was loved more before but as time passed humanity realized Hector was the hero for standing up for his country and not just killing for fame or honor

I am truly impressed! My heart broke for Hector. He's so underrated. This work is so beautiful. I'm astounded.
Hector was elevated as Achilles, he represented the warrior of honour! His name is remembered till the day because it is proved the war of Troyes existed

I don't know why, but I do love him more, his character more even than Achilles.. Achilles might be a true warrior, but "Hector" is always the name of a true fighter❤️.. that speech makes me speechless all the time I hear.. "Honor the God, love your woman and defend your country.. Troy is mother to us all.. fight for her"❤️.. this will remain immortal forever.. love❤️❤️
there might be thousands of achille fanvids in here (and don’t get me wrong, i do appreciate him) but when you finally find a great hector one it just proves once again beyond any doubt why he was the superior character all along.
I always loved Hector, for me Achille is selfish, Hector is the most admirable man...he deserve more respect and admiration..
Every Hollywood critc said the role Hector played by Eric Bana stole this entire movie... And I agree
Achilles was a great warrior, but Hector was king material.

You don't understand the movie dude. Hector stood up for his people not bro. When the Greece made his bro's adultery a reason to attack and proclaim the war on Hector's country, he stood up like a king to protect their men and women n children.

Hector is by far the best man in this whole sad conflict, but he should have just punched his brother in the nose, tied him up, and turned that ship around and dropped Helen off at port the minute he found out about her. There was absolutely no reason to entertain his brother's lust.

@@humbertlong3042 Agamemnon wanted to conquer Troy but in the movie, Paris absconding with Helen was the spark that convinced his brother to join him.

Trojans were a greek faction and culture had nothung to do with hittie aside Living in same Region that Ottomans occupied later initialöy Namen selcuk and turks then Ottomans empire

Ottoman is Huns and Turkic. They both were from Mongolian offspring IMHO. Hitite is different than Ottoman and last but not the least Troy part of Greek part of Hiitte. If by legends of Iliad, Achilles was a demi god that mortal part of him was removed by Thetis his mother saved his ankle. While Hector was a mere mortal yet even he bested Aeneas a demi god himself . Paris was a better fighter than Hector (he was defeated Hector in competition that almost got himself killed by other Priam sons) yet his lack of courage hinder his abilities in combat to be shine. What Hector shown is not a bravery 'it's his courage that made him stood up for Troy.
