我以为新加坡人已经不会说方言. 这个新剧可以为千千万万南方人漂洋过海来东南亚谋生做个时代见证. 要在这个时代制作方言剧, 很难得也要勇气. 这个精神值得敬佩! 加油!

Chen Liping is the only reason to watch this series. Her Teochew accent is authentic and her character is likable. I look forward to watching the next episode next week. 👏👏👏

Chen Li Ping's teochew accent is super on point, perfect omg. Exactly like how my mum speaks. I am hokkien but better in teochew so when i speak hokkien got weird teochew accent coming out. My elderly clients will laugh at me hahahah. (am a community worker). Love love love this drama!~ Describes most of my job scope and very heart warming

They are very versatile indeed, from speaking English, to Mandarin to now Hokkien dialect, I am impressed.

Chen Liping deserved our praise..cause unlike a popular veteran ah Jie, Chen dare to let viewers see her ugly face now and then on our TV screen. She also dare not to put on makeup. I noted that ah Jie had a new incoming drama and was 😲she put so heavy makeup etc. to portray a role of a office cleaner. I had seen real office cleaners and most seldom put on such makeup. The ah Jie looked like an office lady instead of a cleaner. Well again it is Mediacorp's purpose to doll her up and make her look pretty... If other stars took the role, I can assure u they will not put any makeup ...those professional actresses I mentioned are Hong Hui Fang, Lim Mei Jiao and even Zoe Tay. Professional in the sense they will act like real cleaners without much makeup.

To me. it is somewhat film explaining govt policy in between. Anywhere, thanks for explaining CPF and other schemes to people Hope to see new show featuring people with disabilities and how can they lead independent life in future when their parents passed on.. My biggest worry is how my nephew , hearing impaired ,suffering from autism, can lead independence life when his parents passed on. His part time earning not enough in this expensive place.

leoagaw it is probably made this way to showcase the diversity of dialects spoken by locals :) also, in the past, most Singaporeans used to do that (speaking to one another in their native dialect). People understand but may not speak another's dialect. This system as shown in this tv program worked out well. I've gotten this information after consulting older Singaporeans!
