Foreign and Singaporean witnesses, i.e. mainly based overseas in the US, were not willing to come over to Singapore's jurisdiction with request from the authorities to assist in investigations being conducted nor testify in court. Lee Yock Suan's son, Desmond makes it seem like HDB is very proactive but what is the real situation on the ground? There are very simple no brainer methods to check on the flouting of MOP rules but HDB has not adopted such methods to promptly detect possible rule infringements. Also, how many home owners were allowed to profit by being the first to sell after getting an MOP waiver? When MOP hits, the newly MOP flats are on buffet and it is harder to secure a higher price. I see alot of talk but very little proactiveness on the ground. I hear that videos of how he talks to his residents will be released to show what he is really like.

What the former prime minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew gave us is priceless. The founder memorial is worth the resources used because it has golden values to remind generations and generations of the integrity, meritocracy, honesty, diligence, determination that our ancestors displayed to make Singapore prosperous and progress. We owe our future to Mr Lee Kuan Yew. What we spend on the founder memorial is peanut in that sense and our future generations will continue the priceless values to continue to build the country.
