we got bands but we only got 2 festivals for it, and like 20 pop festivals and only shit pop singers come to sweden.. I live in sweden and everywhere I go I here pop never any metal. sad but true

I guess it's something. But pop music is not as bad as everyone think. Here in latinoamerica we have something called "reggaeton" is the most popular "genre" among the people. That's the worst thing you can hear. Its like hip hop but even more awful. Since reggaeton appeared our society lost all sense of good musical taste.

Alberto Barrera that's true but.. the only pop music I can stand is pop from 50-80's cannot stand computer generated shit beat. I might only be 19 years old. but any computer generated shit can just go away. Like for instance I rather listen to abba or Ted Gärdestad all day than todays pop.

For anyone who's unaware, Erik, the former lead singer of H.E.A.T, revealed a few days ago that he is battling leukemia. Hoping with all my heart that he pulls through. *Edit:* He kicked his cancer and he's now the lead singer of Skid Row!

Can’t fucking believe that I never heard of this band until yesterday. These guys are killer. This is what modern hard rock should be. It’s as if I looked into an alternate universe and saw what rock would be today if grunge didn’t come along and fuck it all up.

And Dave Grohl can fuck himself twice as hard for going soft on the last two Foo Fighters albums. Especially medicine at Midnight. That album is horrid, over polished, repetitive, generic garbage.

Saw this great band at the Firefest AOR /Melodic festival in Nottingham England a few years ago and I'm now 49 years. Maybe it's just me but they look and perform like an AOR version of the grunge band Green Day. Scandanavian countries have produced some other great AOR bands eg Grand Illusion and W.E.T.

I listen to like 4 metal/rock bands from there. Hammerfall, Sabaton, H.E.A.T and Dynazty. Probably more that I don't even know are Swedish. Check them all out trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I truly believe Sweden has been the hard rock/metal capitol of the world for like the last 15 years. The music/musicians from there is just pure/real/kick ass, and totally from the heart executed with style and attitude. In addition, they play their own instruments and write their own songs. I'm thinking rock music is taught in grade school or something, because it's done so damn well. Sweden, F.T.W. ;)

Crashdiet, HCSS, Crazy Lixx, Gemini Five, Vains of Jenna, Babylon Bombs, Debbie Ray, etc Only named the ones I actually know and listen to. :D As for Finland: started, I assume, with Hanoi Rocks, decades ago... then from the top of my head, thinking of Finn glam, I can list Negative (they're never coming back imo), Reckless Love (too much cheese) and Santa Cruz (who fkin rock!!).

Back to my dears 80,s...

Great songs from this guys. Living on the run; manequin show; tearing down the walls; one by one; in and out of trouble (being this one some of the best rock i've listened since the 80s/early 90s). This style of rock is metallic and old era alike, bringing back the pure long haired 80s rock to life again. Being influenced obviously by Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Offspring, Whitesnake, Europe, Skid Row, Van Halen, Def Leppard and Guns and Roses... they bring something still unique. Erick entering the band after winning Swedish Idol back in 2009 was great. He has a cool voice, great range and power...and swagging style. Hopefully Kenny will continue this good run for H.E.A.T. as he dis back in the early formation of the band. Its more metallic their sound now with last album from 2020. So lets see how it continues. Amazing to have discovered them! The heat is on!

Where's that from? Never heard that. It even can’t be found on the internet, that he's gay. There was another Erik on the swedish idol, named Erik Rapp, who is openly gay. Maybe you mixed them up? In a german interview Erik Grönwall even said 2017, his girlfriends parents are from Germany... But I must say, I don't speak swedish, so I just can read German and English articles. 😅🤟 Either way, it doesn't matter if he's gay or bi or straight...

I found this band a few months ago(early spring) they’ve become my go to for music all summer. Just incredible. They’ve earned a spot as a favorite of mine. They’re right there with a7x lynch mob Dokken godsmack Aic etc
