Of course!
ProRes made my 4 minute 1.5gb video into a 16gb file💀
Fantastic summary of why both are important in todays world.
Needed this today. Thank you gentlemen.

what is a good alternative to adobe media encoder for h264?
So I should record and edit on ProRes and export on 2.64?
- Help : Wish is better for upload on social media for better final quality : 1) Just record in h264 and upload 2)record in apple pro raw sdr , edit , and then exporting in h264 and then upload

Normal format of video I guess
god editing on linux is a pain
Why to compare for H264 in 2023 not H265??

H265 is very computer intensive to edit, you would not edit in H265 and even exporting it won't play on all devices. even YT dosn't like and it will re-encode it reducing the quality.
