There are plenty of reports of girls under 16 being assaulted. How would you feel if that was your child, sister or wife?

It’s OK that travellers descend on your village assault men and “grab” women because men wouldn’t mind if they did it to them? Men tend to be sexually assaulted less frequently than women and are generally able to fight off a typically smaller/physically weaker women.

And my clothes drying machine out of shed. A neighbour saw them parked outside on horse and carriage and saw everything. He called police and the travellers got caught halfway down street and had to return it. I slept through the whole thing and woke up to my dad arguing with them outside my window. I was having an afternoon nap and my dad came home from work as they returned it and where getting arrested 😂 The travellers even tried saying that they knocked on the door and I told them they could help themselves to whatever they wanted 😂

That's the problem with travellers, the 96% of them give the other 4% a bad reputation

If someone got raped or killed, the perpetrator saying “well I knew them” wouldn’t be an adequate defence and the same rules would apply here. @Traveller Myths I live in England and here we don’t allow shit like this to happen. If someone is seen grabbing girls like this then we would confront them and ask if the girls are okay. I don’t know for sure that they don’t know each other, but in this scenario if you witness this it’s always best to make sure and check if the person needs help. You literally said “they clearly know each other” so you’re the one making assumptions and presenting them as fact. How would you feel if you just walked past this and did nothing because you seemingly assume that everyone knows each other and is good hearted, and later found out they got raped or killed? You have absolutely no evidence to suggest they know each other and even if they did, it’s inappropriate. Do you feel up all your friends like that?

Grabbing someone is a physical action not harrasment but point taken this clip seems to be more harrasment if anything. I'm not against or anti traveller in general, live and let live is my motto, however I am against actions by any religion or culture that either breaks laws or inflicts harrasment or harm under the cover of religious or cultural freedoms, anyone that does needs those feedoms removed.

It's not just the grabbing us country folk don't like, it's the scams, and generally everything you do is just horrible or has a negative impact. Yous don't give a toss about people in any situation, not even for your own. I cannot think of one kind encounter I've had with a traveller and I've not seen or heard one. @@chrisjohnston5411 there is much more to the behaviour of the travellers and the relationship we all have now. Up until the war, travellers were valued highly. They did the work that the eastern Europeans now do. They had stopping places they had used for 100s of years, which were slowly blocked up. During the war, the travellers tried to continue to live the life they always did... however, the government decided they wanted the men folk for military conscript and began arresting them and sending them to war by force... in order to do that with public support, a campaign was started about how bad they were and all indiscretions focused upon publicly. The families of kidnapped men were left without the head of their family. Post war, the attitude toward these "shirkers" remained, the stopping places were gone meaning they had to pull up where they could. The government convinced the gypsy community to buy up land (cr@p land that no one else wanted...) so they could park up and so families put together savings to do so... this allowed councils to take advantage of the post war income from gypsys buying up this land. Once a sizable sale purchase effort had been achieved...councils went around fining, evicting and confiscating... because what they didn't tell the gypsy community was... you can buy the land, but we won't give you the permissions you need to be able to use it. And of course, they had the full force of the law behind them. At this point travellers started putting children in schools to learn basic academic skills. Prior to that, they worked on honour and this had left them open to being totally deceived by the government and councils, and bitter. The relationship between both sides totally broke down and the prewar respect that both gypsies and non gypsies had for each other was lost completely. With the loss of other things like public toilets on parks and open use of tips, a once very naturally living community began leaving waste in public spaces...and why wouldn't they, they will be evicted in a few days anyway... There are so many spiderlegs in this web that it's would require an essay to cover it all.

I just wanna say that isn't how early homosapiens behaved. The cavemen had complex emotions just like us & fell for women they met. We're a monogamous species for the most part and so were our ancestors, if the woman didn't want to be part of it she would just leave while the male was busy or something. Cavemen had to attract and impress potential mates into actually wanting them then just as much as we have to today haha
