    I thought Kenzie would have a huge advantage being taller, bigger, and stronger on every weight lifting exercise, especially those 75 pound sand bags. However Natalie's small stature made it much easier for her to fly underneath the barbwire and negotiate the tires. They were both very impressive athletes. There's plenty of guys who couldn't even complete that course.

    Since I used to train as a gymnast, our fitness standards is to remain as light as we can especially with our weight. We deal with obstacles like bendy pull up bars, gymnastic rings, platform flips, etc… so the obstacles here was a little advantage for Natalia even w/ a 15 lb weight vest which really was hard but still manage to pull through. I’m happy for her for making the obstacle course her win 😊

    Sure, physics and going through a cycle or two... the bodybuilder shows clear signs of having been on steroids, I've worked with enough bodybuilders to know that they all so and what all of them look like... hairloss (with visible bald patches), upper bodies so big that they cannot stand with their arms down and broadening of the hairline, just like men.

  • @aumelb

    Some begin at age 4. By age 11 they are expected to accomplish a certain level and compete internationally, meaning how good you are at that age will determine if you succeed in the sport going forward.

  • @Seetiyan

    @Seetiyan

    2 жыл бұрын

    Natalia's very well-trained, from a young age. That's the important part. A male being her height wouldn't make much difference; it's the fact that he's untrained that matters, cause men are just naturally stronger on average. I'm a short guy who teaches dance classes and often dance with and have even dated taller women, and I've always been stronger despite being probably only average strength for a guy my size. But as a trained gymnast, she might be stronger than me.

    many people correlate bodybuilding equaling being fit. You can be a bodybuilder and be fit, and you can also be a bodybuilder and not be fit. Some bodybuilders that I know, had the aesthetics, but they had no conditioning and didn’t have the best markers in their blood. Another fact to keep in mind is that just because your body build, doesn’t mean that you’re athletic.

BB certianly isn't anything to do with athletics or strength competitions, but more akin to 'art'. If you're looking to measure athletic perfomance why would anyone choose a BB as the litmus test. It's nonsense. Powerlifitng is based on core strength wich is why nearly ALL the winners of the World Strongest Man have been champion powerlifters, because that core strength has application. BB's are just to be looked at.

    BTW I has a stronger sqat weighing 242lbs than Tom Stoltman weighing 400lbs. 93kg powerlifter John Hack has a bigger deadlift than Tom Stoltman - so it's not just a simople calculation that the biggest are always the strongest, though that is USUALLY the case.

    @@antiwufei553 I'm not go to engage every pont because I don't want to get dragged into a long, boring and inconcequential dialogue over a comment I left on youtube FFS! Powerlifitng is more funcional than bodybuilding because it's a system of measuring strength. Bodybuilding is a matter of aesthetics where APPEARANCE is the sole measurmenet of succcess. When you say powerlifting has little relationshiup with Strongman evets - are you kidding!? Deadlifts and sqauts are the very heart of core strength and almost all the best Strongmen have been powerlifters before taking up Strongman. 'Powerlifting' is measured on single lifts for sure, but thousands of repetitions of deadlifts and sqauts go into making than ONE heavy lift. I once was a competitive gymnast, and without a doubt, I could have done that course without a problem. It's a full body sport, from doing a floor routine with tumbling 5 times at practice, then going to the bars and using upper body strength for another 5 routines back to back. Gymnastics helped me through much of my life, with the strength and flexibility involved

    my thinking is that multiple episodes of competitors doing the same exact challenge could get pretty boring. We're trying to spice it up and add some differentiation in each episode. I think a good way is having them score the course first, then continue with other challenges so the times will be accurate. That's what we're doing with recent episodes
