Gym Equipment I Wasted Money On (and Wouldn't Buy Again)

Спорт

Here's my list of gym equipment I wasted money on. It's not that these are bad items (ok some are) but I wouldn't buy them again. They were either too expensive or just don't get enough use to justify the cost. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy them... but rather most of us don't need these and even if it's great gym equipment, they're hard to warrant the purchase.
Here's 4 gym items I think I could've gotten for less money (without sacrificing much quality). Even the items on this list I'm using every day I still debate if it's a bit wasted money. I'm all for treating yourself and buying the best you can afford (my home gym is probably overkill) but money isn't something to be wasted and if I could go back, I wouldn't have gotten these things.

@@GlucksGym I think more of us would ditch the gym for a home one. But more of us live in apartments and there is almost no discussion on the topic. I’ve resorted to kettlebells and dumbbells. I have a bar and plates but afraid to do anything that isn’t laughably light out of fear of dropping the lift and causing damage.

I feel like I’m watching the Starbucks of gym equipment. WTH ? Why spend so much money on equipment when you can get plain equipment that does the same thing? You want to work out and build muscle? Just move weight, it doesn’t matter if it’s iron plates or urethane. Just do the work.

On the homegym subreddit, the biggest waste (for those who own them) seems to be the reverse hyper, with jammer arms being a close 2nd. They're great if you actually use them, but that's a big "if". I think people see how useful or versatile something is in the marketing material, but the benefit isn't worth the time it takes to program it, or it's too big a pain to move and adjust. At least the westside scout hyper is kind of low risk - if you don't use it often, it's not taking up a ton of space.

I had to sell a lot of fleck plates to justify the cost of my urethanes lol I have urethane everything for that desert heat. My heart always wants to replace the urethane bumpers with a set of ghost calibrated plates tho. Other than that, I would not buy anything from Rep fitness if I could do it over, and have almost sold everything in my garage from them.
