You have some awsome content,,I just got a 150cc for really cheap, it looks great, was told it was caught in a rain storm and never started since, it looked like the guy tried to do some things but gave up and sold it. When I hookup a battery and turn the key I get no lights or no power, where should I start to troubleshoot this? Thank you for you videos

Id just eliminate it. I have two similar scooters and the only fuse is between the rectifier and the battery to safely charge. Theres really no need. I suspect its there by mistake.

Sounds like your float is stuck or your line is clogged. The float bowl lets it run until its used up and then slowly fills and you do it all over again. Like mostly harmless said a good cleaning of the carb disassembled in an ultrasonic cleaner does wonders. Try not to use gas with ethanol. Its the source of most toys not running after being stored all winter.

Go to the parts store and get some Seafoam. Put it in your tank and save yourself the headache of pulling your carburetor apart.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!! HOLD UP!!! .... as a master mechanic, i want to correct you @7:57 dielectric grease is not good for conductivity!! dielectric grease is NON-CONDUCTIVE and should NEVER be put on any connections. its good to weatherproof electric connector seals such as sparkplugs. it should only be applied to the ribs of the ceramic and not any metal connections. do not put dielectric grease in a bulb socket or even a harness connector. if the connector has a seal put dielectric grease on the seal to help the seal, seal better and prevents sticking. dielectric grease should be put on the outside plastic part of the smaller connection in order to seal properly . never place it inside of the bigger connector to where it has risk of touching either male or female metal connectors inside of the plug. its best to never apply any dielectric grease to a battery connector due to the heat and making it thin out and seep into the connections causing the dielectric grease which is NON-CONDUCTIVE, to cause a break in connection and either wont start or wont charge and putting you in a situation where you need to use your kickstart if you have one. never put dielectric grease on threads either. always use Copper anti-seize as it has copper material in it and improves connection to ground. copper has the best conductive properties and it being formulated into anti-seize makes it perfect to protect your battery terminals and a grease to put on your sparkplug threads. Thank you for reading!
