He is playing with his soul, the Chopin's Etude Op 25 N° 1 with his large hands it looks so easy for him, God bless Mr Cziffra, such a marvelous pianist
them birds love him playing good sign....they also always come close to the windows singin when i play piano even by bad weather love it.........one of the best chopin recordings i know
My main goal as a musician is to get so good that you can just teach a masterclass with your shirt open all the way down to the stomach and nobody bats an eye

hahaha you'rr a legend!
Op25 no.1 and 2 then the impromptu Op.29! I especially like the etude no2, the rubato really is masterful and the brought out voices on the left hand takes the etude to another level.
Thank you for posting this. Cziffra is exploring some really beautiful voicing in the etude op 25 no 1 especially in the left hand. Also, I think Cziffra had a special fondness for Chopin’s impromptus. He plays no 1 here and his performance of no 3 is very moving.

yes he is so fabulous he is one of my inspirations, great pianist Mr Cziffra Bravo
So after hearing this, you're the first student up in the masterclass. *gulp!*
When Cziffra slows the tempo it just melts your heart. A bit overdone here, but usually, it is most poetic and profound.

Thank you for this excellent video of Cziffra. These wonderful rarities pop up from time to time on KZread. Four years before his death and as individual a performer as ever.
Thank you
Köszönöm szépen.
Beautiful
Thank you for this treasure! There will always be some rarities of Cziffra, hidden somewhere in the archives and will eventually be found some times.. I still have his complete Chopin concerto broadcast and two excerpts of Grieg concerto and some Mendelssohn.. unfortunately I cannot upload these as they will be banned due to copyright issues... I still wonder if you have a video of the following masterclass?

A trademark of Georges.... more Slow than majority in Chopin and more Faster than majority in Liszt

Pace is so important in playing. Rubinstein said that 'slow passages should be played a little faster and faster passages a little slower. Only Rubinstein could compete with Cziffra I feel that though He played with such purity and majesty, Cziffra added an element of excitement and romance to his playing.
It was Cziffra, and the others.
this is amazing, it may just be the lower quality but I'm sure his playing of op 25 no 2 here is far more expressive and superior to the recording that everyone's heard of him playing it
we need his masterclass video:(
I just love that there are people who-from on high somewhere….a POS?-who just love to correct acknowledged masters and geniuses! When they don’t even have enough smarts to realize that this is his warmup and not a performance! I always get a good laugh out of it….don’t they _wish_ they had an ounce of this man’s talent, lmao!

are there any other "post-cziffra jr's passing" recordings?
He was a great Jazz musician as well, he did Play a B note because he wanted it, as Joke hehehe
I didn't know Stephen Fry could play chopin
He seems to suffer from joint pain.
