I think he got a lot more help than what was recorded. That's 7 out of 10 trail. Lexus is a basic snow ride on pavement. But pretty impressive driving where jeeps thrive.

Awesome, thanks for upload.. Just got an 07 GX. I'm curious, at 15:00 doesn't look like your ATRAC was working. Does it? I've seen it engage in other vids and you can see the brake modulate. Or did I miss you explain that somewhere? I'm anxious to get a wheel in the air to see how it feels.

You are correct, this was driver error (me). ATRAC only works in first gear... I didn't know this until after I drove this trail. I probably could have climbed that obstacle without the winch had I known this. My FJ cruiser made it up there no problem without the winch. Enjoy your gx!

Cool ride through, nice job making it through. Are you thinking of adding any other plates under it or do you think it doesn’t really need it?

I think with 35" tires I will be fine and have the clearance I need. Just need to get around to modifying the GX to fit the bigger tires.

Quick question, were you running with center diff locked? It did not seem Atrac tried to kick in. I have found Atrac more active with center diff unlocked. Just my experience i know its 50/50 with people saying lock center diff while climbing, I only lock the center diff during loose sand, or mud when I need higher RPM and wheel speed to get me through stuff. I have tried climbing the same sketchy section with diff locked and found it way more difficult versus unlocked center diff. Same climb center diff locked resulted in more wheel spin and Atrac not adding me.

I think center locked allows more slip before atrac turns on. Which can be beneficial sometimes but also not in other situations.

yes I had to repaint the fender trim pieces. They were oxidizing

It’s always been open for me even when people say it’s closed. I come in through pinnacles staging area from arrowhead. I am not familiar with the entrance bypass

yes I needed diff locked for all the parts where I lifted a wheel

Gx460 fan with a 3” on 34” with a winch. Curious why you popped the hood before winching? Can you not get to the freespool lever? cut a couple of the plastic grill fins and you should be able to get your hand in there.

Sometimes people will winch with the hood up to protect the windshield in case the winch breaks. It could also be because of the freespool lever though.

Put lockers in both ends... Not THAT much more expensive.. and you'll be glad you did..
