Revisiting a few highlighted moments from our November ‘23 session with Ian Cessna of Milwaukee Film’s Take 1 Youth Filmmaking Lab & electronic music production duo, Immortal Girlfriend!
The teen social hour kicked off with great food from Ian’s Pizza MKE, special bevs from Discourse Coffee & GWML alum Sphinx Da God spinning the tunes. GWML Program Coordinator B~Free led a panel discussion with the guys on “Music & Film Scoring,” while answering sound questions from our teen audience. Our special music guests also shared a live performance of their latest single “Moment,” & we then delved into our customary teen open mic, with several youth acts that shared a wide range of talents on stage 🧡

The Music Lab is a FREE monthly music and arts education program and talent accelerator for Greater Milwaukee area high school students! At the Music Lab, students have the opportunity to learn about the music and entertainment industries through featured guests. They are also given the opportunity to collaborate, perform, and build relationships with their peers.
