Revisiting a few highlighted moments from our Mar '24 session with Marcella "Ms. Lago" Araica!
This month's session was a special collaboration with Amplifier, the monthly, all-ages artist development program also housed under Radio Milwaukee. For Women's History Month, we hosted special guest, the Grammy Award-winning recording & mixing engineer, Marcella Araica. GWML & Amplifier Program Coordinators B~Free & Chad "C-Note" Roper led an in-depth discussion with our special guest on “Women in Music Vol. 2,” while Marcella shared an in-depth overview of the development of her music career & advice for our audience of both aspiring & active music creatives. We then delved into our teen open mic, with one of the most diverse arrays of youth acts that we've ever had sharing their gifts on stage. From poetry & rapping, to singing, guitar playing, drumming & HARP, this open mic session is definitely going down in GWML history.

The Music Lab is a FREE monthly music and arts education program and talent accelerator for Greater Milwaukee area high school students! At the Music Lab, students have the opportunity to learn about the music and entertainment industries through featured guests. They are also given the opportunity to collaborate, perform, and build relationships with their peers.
