I don't hate her because she acknowledged the fact that she hurt Miles despite not meaning to. And she clearly wants to make amends. Though if Miles wasn't so kindhearted, I wouldn't be surprised if he refused whatever apology she ends up making.

The detractors really like to forget she's a girl who was plucked out of one of the worst situations anyone, not just a teenager, can be in, taken to a place where she was given a feeling of safety, belonging and purpose, and had three adults she should have been able to trust and rely on constantly feeding her crap about Canon events and anomalies etc. She was also told some emotionally devastating things like "All your other variants die after falling for Spider-Man" and "Your father has to die or else the multiverse will collapse." Of COURSE she's messed up and makes some bad choices that hurt Miles, because she's in a borderline cult where the people who should be protecting her are the ones fucking with her head. That second thing really puts her not telling Miles into perspective. Despite everything, she still doesn't want her father to die, but thinks he has to and is probably wrestling with those disparate thoughts all the time. It has to be tearing her up inside. Is it too hard to conclude that she wouldn't want Miles to have to go through the same pain she's going through?

We need someone like Gwen in our universe because Gwen simply is everything.

@@serpentsir hey I just got back to people saying that miles reject gwen when gwen catch him from falling and he breaks the web also they have said that he is on to spider byte now which is annoy bc people still give gwen so much hate and bc of her btraying miles that he should never be with her it annoy and I think people are just blinding by what they want to happen so I came to ask you can you make a video explaining that scene where miles breaks gwen web and explain what is going and what is miles feeling at the point and also give us more reason why gwen is better than spider byte bc people still think miles is on to spider byte and it is annoy they just do not see how bad of a stage gwen was in this movie.

I seriously do NOT understand why people hate on Gwen! Just so you know, she is my FAVORITE character. People only hate on her because “oh she betrayed miles” “oh she did this, oh she did that” but she did it in the name of love. If you think back to her home life, the last time we saw her was when she was at gunpoint with her dad. Everything was being lost at that moment, she lost her dad, and her dad lost her. With nothing else left to do and not knowing how to fix it, she joined the spider society. When she meets Hobie, she finds some interest in him, and decides that staying with him would be the best option, SHE WAS HOMELESS! The only reason she didn’t ever go see Miles, was because she didn’t want to upset Miguel. Gwen knew that if she did make Miguel angry, it was back to square one and she would be sent home to her dad. She figured that if she did what she was told, the spider society as actually a comfortable place where she can be her own spider and meet other spiders too. Gwen mentions at the very start of the movie that she never forgot about Miles. She really missed him. He was the only friend she made ever since peters death. Also in the beginning of the movie, she flat out says that she didn’t want to hurt him but she did. Gwen loves Miles. Period. So when she was sent on a mission to hunt down the spot in earth 1610, she was very happy, because she realizes that’s Miles’ universe! Finally, she could see him after a whole year! Apparently, that backfired and gets in a whole lot of trouble. Someone somewhere mentions that Gwen likes to touch miles, and there were many screenshots to support. If you think about it, she really does love Miles. If you put yourself in Gwen’s shoes, how would YOU tell your BEST FRIEND, or even your crush they can’t be who they are? That they don’t belong. It’s a very rough topic and Gwen wasn’t ready to talk to Miles about it. Another video states that Gwen was forced to grow up too fast, and Miles isn’t allowed to grow up so fast. Gwen wants to meet Miles level of innocent child like days and Miles wants to meet Gwen’s level of maturity. When they are together, they have this chemistry and can even themselves out. Look, in short, Gwen loves Miles. I also have a small theory. The converse she wears throughout the movie are NOT Hobies. They are, in fact, hers. She wears them when she is at band practice, she wears them to the prom. And those events happen before she joins the spider society. The day she quits the band is the same day that she is confronted by her dad and joins the spider team. So, leaving her toothbrush and jacket at Hobies is acceptable because she had no other place to go. Don’t even try to blame Gwen for wearing Hobies shoes. Besides, if they WERE Hobies, 1) Hobie probably wouldn’t wear that color and 2) They would be big on Gwen. At the end of the movie during the train chase, she has this amazing portrayed face of GUILT and SHAME. Gwen goes to Miles universe to talk to Miles Parents. Just showing how much she cares for him, making sure his parents know that he is going to be ok. She even comes out wearing his jacket (WHICH IS SO ADORABLE BTW), not only to remind her of him, but also to cover up the fact that she is a spider-person. Furthermore, if you pause some scenes at the right time, Gwen looks very jealous, especially when Miles talks to spider byte. (I don’t understand the ship between them, they literally talked for 45 seconds but ok) And when Miles is glitching, she is the first one to turn around and help him and she feels bad. ANYWAYS, all I’m saying is that if we don’t get Ghost-Flower in BTSV, I will be very sad and disappointed in Sony. Awesome videos, man, you really need more attention. I really appreciate all the time put into your script writing and thumbnails, and putting all the clips of spiderverse together. I know the feeling, it’s hard. I appreciate you Serpent and I’m looking forward to this Gwen video!!! 🕷️🕸️💕

And to me, I think now in this movie there is no earth-8 because if there was than gwen would’ve gone seen miles sooner and be with him because there would be no point of her being in the spider society and left if she knew there was earth-8. This what makes this movie a masterpiece, miles always has hope and that there is a first time for everything based on their relationship and for him to say that is foreshadowing that they are going to be the first cross dimensional lovers. This is what is happening they making earth-1610 earth-8 by following the storyline of miles and Gwen earth-8 and putting their relationships and timeline into the earth-65 Gwen and miles-1610.

The spiderverse movies made me a Spider-Man fan (sure I watched all the other Spider-Man films but that’s because I ADORE the superhero genre) and I love Gwen and miles so much, both individually and together. They are so cool and awesome. I admire them both and their strength (both mind and body, I know I couldn’t deal with all of the stress that they go through.) and they are probably some of my favourite characters ever. I love them so much (in a fan/admiration way, not a weird way).

The entire time during your Spider-verse run you've been speaking facts so I hope this is something I can add to the fact book

People shouldn't question so much about Gwen and more to Miguel. Although Miguel has valid points, Canon Events could possibly be not real but also how it is a direct antithesis to "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility". The reason why so many Spider-Men were so easily swayed by Miguel is because deep down, they want to shed responsibilities. To show how sincere Gwen is about making up to Miles, she didn't blame Canon Events nor Miguel, she took responsibility for her actions.

I think when u look at it. They all looked at what uncle Ben told them with Peter saying if it wasn’t for him they wouldn’t be Spider-Man and all the good they did wouldn’t be done. But forgot about what aunt may said “you save one person, you save everyone” Miles is showing that by choosing to save his father and look what happened when he did. He escaped the whole spider-society. That’s why I love his character he is not only driven by pain. But other three things hope, love and faith. That is why Gwen at end decided to side with miles with many others. She saw another way out and miles was her true light to see another path in handling things and especially in her life. This is why miles is so important to Gwen and she never wants to lose him because he always brings out the best in her and feels so connected and comfortable to talk about personal and emotional stuff when she is around him because he is such an amazing person.

The thing is, Miguel doesn't live by that saying. He's so jaded and broken that he lives by "With great power comes great guilt." It's one of the few things this Miguel has in common with his comic counterpart.

​@@ursidae97 I don't think he created Miguel, but I think he destroyed Earth - TRN1048 to make him become what he is now. My theory is that he went forward in time to his defeat at the hands of both Miles and Miguel and decided to keep them from teaming up. He did so by exploiting Miguel's takeover of TRN1048's life and not only emotionally destroying him, but also planting the idea in his head that anything or anyone that's not canon compliant (like Miles) is bad. Now the two people who are most crucial to his defeat are at odds with each other.

It's amazing how much Gwen cares about the people in her life. Especially, Miles. I mean she's completely smitten with him. People will do anything to be with that special someone. The ways that Gwen shows her love for Miles is so wholesome. It hurt so much when she had to leave cause you knew she didn't want to. Without Miles, she's not whole. Like the other half of her heart is missing. Yet, to see that people will ignore her pain or can't see how much she loves Miles is shocking. Considering the fact that she wanted to kiss him. She wanted to run away with him. Even after being sent home, she wanted to get to him. The picture with the two of them is her treasure. In the end when she says "it's all possible." She knows she's not running away from her heart anymore. She's fighting for love.

Pretty much, Gwen will do anything to get with Miles. I think we will definitely see this when BTSV comes out. I would absolutely love to see what they do for Gwen to get her way and get with Miles. It’s going to be a fun road to go on, but the wait is a pain.

I think that’s why miles is such a great character he fights for the people he loves such as his family, friends and Gwen. And that’s what he taught her in the end that you have to fight for that one person you love the most because if u do that u save everyone. Gwen loves him and now is risking and giving it all just to save him and to break the relationship canon event.

something ive always been thinking about in gwen’s scenes (the ones with her dad in particular) is the usage of colours. When Gwen first reveals her identity, the room is bathed in red. the colour representative of danger and betrayal. when she and her dad hug at the start of the movie they both turn orange, the colour of warmth. Gwen also turns orange after being kicked out from the Spider Society because its also a colour that represents determination. Shes blue during the start of the movie cause she’s isolating herself, shes anxious and alone and on edge. Darker shades of purple represent frustration and is used a lot in Gwen’s big speech at the end of the movie. And when Gwen’s dad quits being captain, when they hug it out, the room turns white. the colour of peacefulness

Amazing why to describe the colours in Gwen’s world. I think her hair turning blue as well as the background represents sadness because u can see the tears in her eyes when she is talking about miles to her father and how she can’t imagine losing him. With also using the purple like u said to represent frustration that she hurt miles and believing in this canon events. I love that they use white at the end not only in the background but with Gwen’s hair because it represents peacefulness on her relationship with her father and cleanliness of her problems and issues with the Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man relationship canon event. Not only u can see it in Gwen’s world but when she is in others such as her being first around miles in his room, u can see the background of her is pink which represents love which means that she is in love with him. I think Gwen’s love for miles is the reason her father quit. That’s why the conversation is so meaningful and impactful.

I loved Gwen in the first movie, but man she stole my heart away in Across the Spider Verse. All of the people complaining about her being a “traitor” are just people just hating Gwen for the sake of it and not understanding the clear intentions behind everything.

The only thing I’m slightly worried about is seeing Miles’ reaction to seeing Gwen again, he isn’t going to be jumping in her arms. He’s going to be angry with her, she won’t hate her. But she will be very angry with her. Which is where she will need to confess everything to him and sit down and talk to him have her spill her guts to him. She’s going to have to tell him how she feels about him. Their feelings will reciprocate but I think Gwen will need to promise Miles she will always be there to love him, protect him, be there for him, and see him as much as humanly possible

I love Spider-Gwen she's really awesome and her story in this movie is freaking fantastic in my opinion.

All I know is that I can't wait to see more of her in BTSV and how she is going to redeem herself to miles.

It would be so amazing if they made a spinoff series or movie about the Spider-Women. Gwen could be an adult, Mayday could be a teen, and if Jessica isn't "evil" anymore, she could be handling the Spider life as a middle aged woman and how it affects her. (and hopefully Spider-Byte and other new people would be included) I just hope they use the same VA's or if it's live action, I hope it's in the same cinematic universe

I think that’s a good idea because what I think that spin-off should in the future with Gwen being an adult. With her having her two kids with miles because I think them glancing at each other when seeing photos of mayday is foreshadowing their future. But in the spin-off I don’t think miles should featured. I think this should be Gwen’s full movie. And I can’t wait to see it.

In the first movie I kinda find her not bad, but kinda bland. But this movie did her justice.

Also Gwen keeps her hair the same after miles forced her to shave one side of her hair when his hand stuck to her hair. She kept it even though before the end of ITSV she says she hates it. Hair holds memories and that was one of her memories of miles that she will probably keep forever.

I remember in ITSV I liked Gwen but overall she didn't stand out a ton to me, however in ATSV that all changed her arc was so incredibly well executed so heart breaking and her responses and actions against the issues she faced really hit hard. Gwen is genuinely one of my favorite characters in all of fiction now.

Gwen Stacy is fantastic. Yes she has flaws and made mistakes, but she learns from them and try to improve. She's basically a strong female character done right

Aside from this video, I think the reason that people hate Gwen is that they’ve only see the clips where Miles ripped Gwen’s web. The internet keep posting this scene as if this is the only thing Gwen had done in the entire film. For me, it is kinda manipulating people and misunderstanding the whole plot.

One of the scariest parts about gwens story is that she knows she could die and due to believing miguels theory, she was probably fearing that she would have to see her dad die once she got back to her dimension if he hadn’t had quit his job

Yeah exactly. That's what I mean, everybody can appreciate her character depth. And I mean love in an empathetic way, I know not everybody is attracted to her (or should be 👮)

Mate, I can reeeeally relate to your obsession. 😂 It needed only a day and one cinema run to ATSV to fall for her. Everybody needs a post-ATSV Gwen in their life. She deeply cares for Miles, the touchy moments (even when his parents are watching), her hugs, the need of a safe haven like with Miles on the clocktower. All her scenes are gorgeous and I liked that we had the possibility to see some Gwen content and not only Ghost Spider content. I dunno why someone can hate her. But I think it is like Ahsoka in Star Wars. And both have in common that they have flaws at the start, but evolve during their storylines. Flaws make someone to a whole person. Everything was perfect with her: Her design - I think it is great that she is not overly female with big breasts etc. She is athletic and it doesn't seem that she would break at the smallest touch. Voice acting - Hailee nailed it, period Her arc - enough said Her theme - just on loop at Spotify 😂 I am so excited for BTSV and their reunion. And I really hope for a positive closure for Miles+Gwen, they really deserve it. And now as she knows that she saved her father (that everything is possible), she doesn't hold back any longer. in BTSV we definitely will see the best, strongest and most determined Gwen, I am sure of it. In ITSV we see them have some sort of chemistry and both liking each other but them ending of being friends which to me is their friends for now moment at the end and in the second we see them have really deep feelings for each other from their time apart and when reconnected they obviously fallen for each other. I think it will be great if they can give us a post credit or ending with them narrating the whole story with their kids.

I wasn't expecting Gwen to have so much screentime in the movie, but I'm glad she did, and that's one of my compliments for ATSV

🎶 Somebody has a spider-crush 🎶 🎶 Somebody has a spider-crush 🎶 😉 Seriously, tho, good video. Gwen's a good fictional crush to have. :) Being an older guy, she just brings out the dad in me. All i want to do is give her a big hug and tell her everything's going to be okay. Oh, and rip Jess and Miguel a new one for how awful they were as parental figures. And of course feel super proud of her at the end for being willing to own up to her own mistakes and brave enough to try to fix them. She's a daughter any father would be proud to have raised.

These guys managed to make me fall in love with an animated gwen stacy character... Thats some crazy talent. They managed to make me move on from my year and half long crush for god sake! Its just so *amazing* how they have done this character... The part where she tears up when Miles repeats the same thing she said "you shouldve never come to see me" (but she didnt meant it seriously) or the part when Miles breaks the web she has on him and she cringes so hard... Every emotion captured to a level out of my thinking capacity... And yes I'll also love to have someone like her in my life. ❤

She IS the best, I love her so much. I love her design, her personality, her Spider suit, her character arc, her soundtrack, the first 20 minutes of the movie entirely dedicated to her. It's a shame that *many* men hate her just because she's a woman. That just shows that they haven't watched the movie properly and they're just trying to find excuses to hate on her. @@naut7560 in a multitude of media like games, movies, books, and tv shows the good ones are the ones that build character and story, you feel sad when a character dies or you fall in love with a character because of how they act. back in the golden age (this can be different for everyone depending on when you grew up) games HAD story and character, nowadays with fps battle royale games you just dont get that anymore. fortnite is basically America but nobody has an original story outside of their respective universe. books would depend on if you can read between lines to the extent of what a character means by what they say. movies the spiderverse movies are an amazing example. tv shows there are so many kinds you cant just name one. Great video man. Absolutely delivered. Honestly you have been my favourite KZreadr this past month. Now I think it’s my turn to talk about Gwen. Gwen is my favourite second character (behind miles). I think she is the most understanding and complex character. U are absolutely right she has flaws which makes her connect to the audience and look realistic as she is a human. I really love how the writers have written her. She has gone through trauma and pain due from losing her best friend at such a young age and being betrayed by her father with also being conflicted by canon events. I really do think that her growth is because of miles. He is the one person she loves and cares deeply and willing to do anything to see and protect him. Plus her relationship with hobie is summed up in a parallel in the movie. Miles said to ganke “are those my Jordans” and hobie said the exact same thing to Gwen: “are those my chunks.”Meaning Gwen and hobie are just genuine friends like mikes and ganke. Miles is the one person that understands her personally and emotionally that’s why she doesn’t want to lose him because not even her Peter understood as much as miles does. Miles is someone she connects with and wants to keep this connection with him because it’s something she hasn’t experienced in her life. I think her love and admiration for miles is the reason why she saved her father from his canon event. She went straight to get the photo of her and miles after being sent home because that’s who she fights for and is the reason why she continues to be Spider-Man just to see and be with him. She said that she is completely on her own after hurting miles, but she knows throughout the whole movie that she can’t lose on more friend. That’s why in that scene you see her hair turn blue representing sadness and her not bearing to imagining it with tears in her eyes. I think her father knew she was talking about miles because he saw the photo of them and I reckon when he saw it he never seen Gwen so happy since Peter. That’s why he quit to make sure Gwen is happy and she is more important than anything and that after she broke her fathers canon event that’s when she realised you can do both and that she can have a relationship with him at the end that’s why you see a smile from her in that scene. And at the end she said “one thing I learnt from miles it’s all possible” meaning that everything is possible that she can do both, break canon events but mostly she can have a relationship without tragedy. I just realised the reason why she said “he loves u more than u could ever imagine, I have seen it” to his parents is not only Gwen saying miles loves his parents but also indicating that she has seen that miles is in love with her by his drawings and by listening to Rio. Can I just point this out, that she calls miles her only friend and calls him that throughout the whole movie because it not only shows that not only is close and connected to him, but it’s also her way to say that she has catch feelings for him. And leaning on his shoulder is indicating on who the Spider-Man she is falling for. Plus we do get see them almost kiss but Rio interrupted and when miles was invisible. Gwen hidden the truth and said hurtful things out of love and compassion for miles. She always wants what best for him so he doesn’t have to suffer what she does. This is something I picked up at the end of Gwen and mile’s parent’s conversation she said “He loves u more than u can ever imagine, i’ve seen it” that is not only referring to her seeing how much miles love his parents by trying to get home and save his dad. But it’s also her telling them (especially rio) that she has seen miles has completely fallen for her based on seeing his drawings, his hand moving close to hers in the clocktower scene, being jealous and her hearing rio that he is happy and lit up when he is around her in that particular scene. I’m saying this rn ghostflower is real. Best CBM couple of all time. Anyway, maybe i will give u video idea maybe I will love for u to talk about miles character and how he sees things and what his growth is from Gwen and his parents.

As a woman, the Gwen hate pisses me off because holy shit for once we get a nicely written female character and people can't stand it for some reason? She looks dope, is dope, is amazingly written as a Teen Forced to Grow Up Too Fast, she's very loyal and does what she does out of kindness and with the desire to do what's best not just for herself, but for others as well. Regarding how her and Miles love each other, Pav isn't the only one shipping them. Rio also straight comments on how Miles lights up when he is with her. Also both her and Jeff react fairly positively to her when she opens up to them while wearing Miles' jacket. HOBIE LITERALLY CALLS THEM GWENDY AND PETER PAN. Like idk man. I'm on board the Ghostflower ship and ready to follow Captain Hobie and Second Pav. 🫡 I also LOVE how Hobie basically adopted Gwen. Depending how much the writers take from Hobie's backstory, he has experienced homelessness and is a really nice person so yeah, he goes full Older Brother/BFF on her. Regarding Hailey Steinfield, I advise you to check out True Grit as well. She was younger in that role but already killing it.

The reason I like Gwen Stacy is because well you said it yourself she’s human she’s written well she has flaws, which other movies failed with their female protagonist they make them perfect no flaws no faults just no mistakes to be made. It destroys the chances of them having a full development as a character and room to grow overtime as a character and learn from their mistakes. that’s what makes an interesting character seeing the struggle and break through many obstacles. The perfect female protagonist that the media is trying show the public masses is just boring to follow they get everything handed to them. They didn’t work hard to earn it and when it comes to the female protagonist today when Stacy, it is a rare gem, how often do you see that type of characteristics are they grow and learn from their mistakes. anyhow, in Gwen’s case, she felt regret for for trying to stop him from interrupting a cannon event in Spider-Man India’s world. She felt regret for talking for talking behind Miles back about his father’s canon event, and that he should let it happen. She is willing to make it better. She is willing to fix her mistakes. She is willing to help miles and see if his dad no matter what, we saw that her actions spoke louder. She gathered a group she started a band at the end. We know what she’s going to not through words but through action. In conclusion, that’s why I like Gwen Stacy

Everybody needs someone like Gwen. She’s such a great character that it’s hard to put into words

Honestly, Spider Gwen is my favorite Spider-Man character as well. I loved her character in the 2016 Ultimate Spider Man episode, I loved her in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, I loved it when she got a skin & set of cosmetics in Fortnite last year, I loved her in the Marvel’s Spider-Man TV show as well as in Marvel Rising, Vexed by Venom, the Lego Daily Bugle set I got, & of course the Spider Verse movies. Her suit’s color scheme is really great & contrasts nicely with the red & blue I usually see with Peter’s Spider-Man. Plus, the design of her character having a hood is great because it gives her an extra layer of customization that other Spider Men don’t have. I also love how she’s written as a character in the Spider Verse movies as well as other pieces of media like I listed above.

i swear ghostflower better get together. like i love how we collectively don’t care about the whole “it doesn’t end well” nonsense, we’re literally the muses in that one scene from hercules.

HELL YEAH, CANCELLING TOMORROW’S SCHEDULE FOR THIS

Miles is all she as a friend after the betrayal and miles in danger at earth 42 she couldn't risk losing him of the same fate that happened to Peter whom she was unable to save him.

Now I did say to u I got predictions for ghostflower. But I will show one of my theories. (btw I had to seperate comment because the other one is to long, plus that was for Gwen’s character). Theory: Look at earth-8: Gwen meets miles at multiverse conflict (she is not originally from earth-8), part of a team with him, falls in love with him and is married to him with also having kids. Earth-1610 and 65- Gwen meets miles at multiverse conflict, is part of team with him, they both understand and love each other. Look at the similarities. The only differences is the marriage and the kids. With spider ham being included in both teams and being the uncle of their two kids in earth-8. What if the reason why the writers made miles an anomaly so not only for him to write his own story and change events but also for the writers to do the same and not follow the comics (especially the way how comic Gwen and miles ended things) My conclusion is this that the writers are following the storyline of earth-8 for Gwen and miles. This why miles did say there is a first time for everything meaning that they can be the first cross dimensional lovers and that they can be the first Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man relationship ending successfully without tragedy. And with Gwen and miles glancing at each other when Peter b was showing photos of mayday to them which is probably foreshadowing their future. Btw, I know some people are going to say they are not going to be the first cross dimensional lovers because of earth-8. But what if there is no earth-8 in this franchise. That’s why they are following the storyline of earth-8. After all it’s a possible future of earth-65.

About the clocktower.. I am very intrigued I am very CURIOUS about the Clocktower scene... It is a very *Romantic* scene. there is a lot of romance, without there being real romance. It doesn't seem to work as a regular *romantic* scenes that give off this great amount of feeling and emotion.. It doesn't feel like most romance in Movies or Films.. I think that's what made the scene so Incredible in this first place. *"In every other universe, Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man.. and in every other universe, it doesn't end well."* Before realizing canon events weren't real she was basically like: *"A lot of Gwen's die if they fall in love, I'm afraid of dying"* (not trying to get amazing spiderman 2'd) Gwen at this stage (thinks, maybe she?) can't fall in love. Gwen knows she honestly would fall in love if it weren't for "Canon events" screwing everything up. If we saw a kiss scene here that would def feel wrong it's not necessarily were these characters are at.. and the scene where Gwen jumps in Miles room it feels so.. *Real* so *Natural* it also seems kinda awkward and playful. Miles has a massive crush on Gwen and he see's this "Having a Girlfriend" as an Adult thing.. Remember the shoulder touch? Reminder that Miles is 15 and Gwen is like 17. (i think) Miles feels like he isn't growing up fast enough with School, Family etc. he feels like he's getting older but the World isn't letting him that why he says this: *"I am 15 years old I am bassically an adult!" *"Kid... Stop calling me that."* Meanwhile Gwen went through these *VERY* adult challenges, she saw her own best friend die in her arms, her own dad trying to arrest her. She also bassically has a very stressful and complex Job. Gwen went through very adult challenges *WAY TOO EARLY IN LIFE* and is lost. That's why Gwen likes hell, loves Miles.. She wants to be Normal again and not lost in her life. That's how they relate! Miles taking that important step forward and Gwen taking that Important one back! Miles is also there to be Normal person be a normal friend and only a friend if that what Gwen needs. That's why I love the Bedroom, Swinging through the city, and Clocktower scene it feels so *Natural* Can we pretty please get a video essay on the clocktower scene? Im not even going to talk about peter or else you would still be reading less that a Quarter of this.

The clocktower is such a good scene like u said. The main reason why she told miles about the gwen stacy and Spider-Man relationship fate is because she wants to be in a relationship with him but is scared that it will end tragically with fate catching up to them. What I’m going to say now, is the reason why I love miles character more than anyone else’s. Miles told Gwen after hearing the canon event that the there is a first time for everything. This demonstrates miles always has hope that it can work out between them and is taking a leap of faith by taking a step forward in their relationship. But what I truly love is even though Gwen doesn’t, she slightly does by leaning on his shoulder admiring his love and affection for her. So I think that’s the three things that makes miles character incredible: Hope, love and faith. What I truly understand is that Gwen said that miles is the only friend she has ever made since Peter died and doesn’t call anyone else a friend. I think that’s her way of saying “I have catch feelings for u, but I can’t fall for u because of that stupid canon event”. I love what u said about Gwen loving miles because she feels completely normal with him. And I think the way miles said they are the same. Is solid facts they both act awkward, get jealous, understand each other, connected with each other, Gwen plays the drums and miles draws her cause they can’t stop thinking about each other, Gwen wears chunks to show her obsession on miles, with her keeping the same hairstyle and wanting to see and be with each other. I realise this now when Gwen and miles wear their masks, we get to see how they work, chemistry and be there for each other. But when they are not wearing their masks, they are open emotionally and personally with each other because they see a different person without their masks. The only scene that was emotional in when they wear both wearing the masks is when Gwen was scared that she lost him. I think lastly, miles is Gwen’s true light in her life and seeing how different things can be handled and can be herself as one person when she is with him cause no one can understand or accept her as much as miles does. This is why she doesn’t want to lose him cause he is the one person that offers her purpose and reason to keep fighting.

Of course! Gwen keeps that same hairstyle as a kind of "Miles was here" reminder for her. That's probably cus she has feelings for him and doesn't want the same thing that happened to Peter happen for Miles you could feel the sheer panic and desperation when she was looking for him under the rubble in "Mumbattan". Miles was the main reason she faced her dad (probably) and after realizing her world didn't collapse she realized: "Wait, Miguel made me betray my friend for some bs?" and Gwen finally understood that Anything is possible and would go to the ends of the Multiverse to save her (more than just a) friend. Deep down Miles knows that Gwen didn't want to betray him but I still think he's mad at Gwen (def not more than Miguel) for being so close yet still not telling him. [Not saying that Gwen is evil] Miles is def gonna end up forgiving Gwen (I might be tripping on balls if he doesn't forgive her) over the long run.

But let’s focus on why miles brings out the best out of Gwen. I think one of the things why he brings out the best in her cause he offers her these three things affection, understanding and connection. That’s why she feels like she can talk about anything with him rather it is emotionally or personally. This is what I will always continue to say and that is miles was the first one to have a crush on her in the first but Gwen was the first the one to develop deep feelings for him in the first movie. In ATSV, u can see their feelings grew stronger for each other from their time a part, reconnecting and other scenes. But the end of ATSV is what is going to set up their relationship. Miles is the reason why Gwen saves his father. I reckon off screen George Stacy looked at the photo of Gwen and miles when he did in his mind he has never seen gwen so happy since Peter died. But anyway, what I love about gwen and her father conversation it just feels impactful and real. Gwen saying that she can’t help the people she loves the most (her father and miles) with her saying that she is completely on her own from her betraying miles. But what makes me feel like Gwen is pouring her heart out to miles is that she knows one thing on what she wants in her mind and heart throughout the whole movie and that is she doesn’t and can’t lose miles, that’s why u see she couldn’t bare to imagine and had tears in her eyes by just thinking about it. Her breaking her father’s canon event made her realise that she can do both and have a relationship with miles. That’s what makes her fathers hug so impactful and heartwarming. Not only she can have an honest relationship with her father but also can finally be with miles without ending in a tragedy that’s why u can see her smile at the end of that scene. At the end, is just fantastic. Rio noticing how happy miles is around Gwen. And gwen seeing and hearing Rio say that, just made her realise how much miles means to her and how much she means to him. She told Jeff and Rio how much their son loves them. But when she said she “I have seen it”with the way Rio looking at her. Is meaning that she is not only referring to seeing miles escape the spider-society but it’s also showing that she has seen that miles has fallen for her based of his drawings of her, him moving his hand close to hers on the clocktower, him following her, the way he gets jealous and now hearing what Rio said. The best is her saying “one thing I learnt from miles it’s all possible” she finally is willing to take a leap of faith of doing both, breaking canon events but mostly on having a relationship with the boy she has loved from the very beginning.

DEFINETLY YOU SHOULD MAKE A VIDEO ON GHOSTFLOWER, EVEN THOUGH ANOTHER NAME FOR THE SHIP IS GWILES. Also, i think this is another ship between two characters that works ONLY in animated adjusted movie/show universe. Same with Damirae ship from DCAMU movies. Same with Damirae, Miles and Gwen realationship only works (for me that is) in these movies and not in the comics. I think their age gap diffrencee in comics is even higher than 15 months gap in the movies.

Ok so my take on jokervsbatman's comment is 1. when he wrote Miguel sends her home to watch her father die but when she gets home and her dad says he quit halfway through her speech she realises that Miguel said "Captain nearest to Spiderman needs to die" but in her dimension her dad changed his mind and quit his job to be next captain so that would not happen . 2. On Pavitar's earth after disrupting the cannon event and all that celebration the building collapsed and miles found it familiar cuz it was spots holes and the buildings which were in that hole were glitching so it was half in another dimension ( like in first movie Peter b Parker, Gwen,etc were glitching) So It wasn't a cannon event. 3. I love Gwen Stacy ❤️

I gotten to know Spider-Gwen in Ultimate Spider-Man show. Years from now on. She's been one of my favorites. And just as any spider, can't go wrong Gwen with her own Venom symbiote. Dubbed as Gwenom, which is the embodiment of awsomeness.

When George gave Gwen the warning shot, I was instantly worried about her emotional well-being. Even though he didn't know who she really was, seeing your own parent give you a warning shot can be more terrifying than anyone else behind the trigger. When Gwen took off her mask, she was asking her dad for a hug or some kind of comfort, but she got a cop who puts his job over his only child. I didn't expect that and I couldn't imagine that happening until it did. It was so much more traumatizing for Gwen because if there's anyone a person should be able to trust, it's their parents. As a guy who has a pretty good relationship with both his parents, I have a decent idea of what a good parent should be. They should love their children unconditionally and be there whenever they are needed. I believe everyone deserves good parents, especially Gwen and people like her. People who don't have a lot of friends, and people who lost one of their parents already. I'm glad she had Hobie, he's freaking cool, but her dad should've been what Hobie is filling in for.

On a different note, I get the feeling people complaining about flawless characters and those complaining about Gwen being a "bad, bad traitor" are mostly different people. There's the possibility some are yelling both, but I think most of the Gwen hate is just a few loud people. I've noticed a lot of comments praising her writing and explaining how they relate to her. She is very cool and I'm glad people, especially girls and young women, have someone this cool to look up to. I unapologetically look up to her as well and I hope she gets more friends (and fans) by the end of BTSV.

For Miles it's always been about matching Gwens ability/maturity level (which he has figured out quite well on his own. His natural intelligence is off the charts, and his Spidey abilities have naturally progressed without excess stuff like the Spider Society to help him). For Gwen, she tries to appear cool under pressure all the time, like she has it all together, and that her sense of the world is just a little bit more matured than Miles (keeping in mind her 15 months older line from ITSV). I'd contend that Miles has the upper hand in the impressing category when you put the total package together. Sure, Gwen gets a sense of his power (the capability of his venom blast and how he handles everything in Mumbattan even when he is glitching), but moreover he impresses her with his never ceasing optimism and multiversal world view (and to a degree, his natural leadership ability). Additionally, Miles is overall just a truly kind and caring person, incredibly grounded and knows who he is as a person to his core and he doesn't let anyone (Gwen included) question it. I agree that Gwen (at least right now) has it badder for Miles than he does for her. However, I don't think it'll take all that much to pull him back to her. Let's be real here, we talk a lot about how Gwen has been holding herself back emotionally from Miles because of XYZ reasons, but Miles was also holding back (and has been holding back since ITSV). Miles has been written so well when it comes to how a teenage male character would react to most of the romantic situations in ATSV (the initial Hobie jealousy in particular). Another YT'er named EmberNexus did a 30 min vid where they talk about Miles underselling his feelings for Gwen at the clocktower and only when Gwen hears Rio talk about Miles behavior around her does she fully appreciate how much she means to Miles which further strengthens her own feelings towards him. Like everyone else (myself included) has said again and again, Ghostflower has gotta happen for the sake of narrative fulfillment to audience (if for no other reason). If it doesn't you can bet that potential billion dollar 3rd act goes bust real quick after opening weekend!

@roadrunner2606 YES! Everything you said!!!! And now I'm going to go find that video with the undersold feelings! I'm hoping too that in spite of everything, Miles remembers what he witnessed between Jess and Gwen. That Gwen admitted to giving up what she should have been doing to go see him, that she said she had to see how he was and had gotten too close to him, that she was torn about never seeing him again. I hope that when he doubts he remembers that she always thinks he's amazing. I think in his heart he knows it's true and while the misunderstanding is a lot to forgive, I hope he knows how much she really loves him.

I think from ITSV Miles was the first one to have a crush on her. But, Gwen was the first one to develop feelings for miles. What I truly love about this relationship it’s real and dynamic by miles saying they are the same in the clocktower scene. Which he is right if u look at it, they both have parent drama, around the same age, understand each other deeply emotionally and personally, miles draws Gwen cause he can’t stop thinking about her and Gwen plays the drums cause she can’t stop thinking about him, both want to impress each other, sometimes get awkward around each other, tend to get jealous when with other people and they are connected like they are both of their missing halves in their lives plus she sensed him through another dimension like how is that even possible. When it comes down to it. They both are desperate to be together but mostly Gwen does. No wonder why hobie ships them by calling them gwendy and Peter Pan with also Pav, Peter joining the party. But also what I lien is Jess and miles parents (mostly Rio) knowing that miles and Gwen are in love. So it’s just them not wanting to admit because of the Gwen and Spider-Man relationship canon event. I still find it cute that gwen wears chunks because miles wears Jordans to show her obsession with him. Its incredible writing.

@@Carlton17277 HA, they both admit it. It's really not subtle at all 😂. Gwen straight up falls into his room, jumps him with a hug before he even comprehends what's happening (hello love sick teenager vibes), and then she just takes it upon herself to see his notebook and that gives him away big time. And then we are treated to about 10ish solid minutes of them both just spoon feeding the audience take after take of angsty teen romance 🤣. Like Gwen touching her hair after snapping at Miles over the watch was the biggest dead on giveaway if you weren't already convinced she'd already fallen for him hard! Also, it occurs to me that Gwen/Miles were shipped in ITSV by a song that plays when Miles leaves the Spider lair and the camera pans down to Peter B. and then to Gwen. If you go look up the lyrics for that in total, one dead sell of Gwen/Miles is "Think I met my soul mate/You help me face my demons/We're just two lost souls, But we're fine with it".
