I feel exactly the way he does about racing. I dont care about anything else, really. This documentary is then what got me into sportbikes. Guy Martin is the reason I found what I love.

Wow...I have been learning about the motorbike world now for the last year going to dealrships and learning all I could online as well, hoping to purchase a motorcycle of my own eventually. Bought my first bike 3 weeks ago and I'm 51years old. Just a starter Honda CBR 250R but I want to work into it right and build up to a larger bike. I have missed out for the last 35 years on this incredible world of motorcycling. I gotta say this Guy is as hard as nails while at the same time extremely humble. I would say he's a cut above.

Yeah just an actor..........right. As it says below he was the Middleweight Karate Champion for 6 years running, he is an 8th Dan Black Belt Grand Master in Tae Kwon Do and is a Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee. I dare you to say to his face that he is just an actor.........my guess is he would give you a small smile, turn and then walk away. Considering all his training he could probably kill you in a handful of different ways without you even knowing what just happened. Just an actor.

livvidd Yeah I think it is pretty hard to hold a candle to Guy! But he's one of the only ones that can get close LOL seeing as how death is scared to tell both of them that he was supposed to collect them a few years back!

Me 2 this year he rides on BMW with Dunlop John rutter Bruce kam etc its tight 2 many good riders

"I just wanna race" Ive been saying that for years. I don't think about anything else but racing and how I can improve. I just want a chance to race amateur/pro. Just one chance.

All non-riders pretty much ever: “that must be dangerous. That’s dangerous right? Danger?DANGER!” Doesn’t even matter what it’s about either. I’m just in the store picking up milk “dangerous!”

Deendoubkebleu -probably did go back to the Greeks -that Wooden Horse was a well planned scheme and those 300 Spartans against the whole Persian Army had a good defence plan .On the other hand those Partheon builders forgot to draw up plans for the roof !!!

that would have been some races to see no? then we would know if Rossi or Guy is the best ever on a sport bike. Even if Rossi won i'd still be a Guy Martin fan though

5991dav I don't think he's ever won it. He's good but not 9(?) times world champion good. But he's famous for doing a bunch of stuff on the TV, and just being an all round nice bloke.

In what sense? I've been to the TT for the past 15 years, vastly preferring it to MotGP etc but even I will admit that the riders at the TT aren't as skilled as the top circuit riders such as Marquez and Rossi. Bigger balls? Certainly, but there is a reason why the TT guys tend not to see much success even at BSB level.

The thing I dont get is a lot of footage you watch of the TT there ARE clusters of riders dueling it out. Is that just because they bunch up due to variations in speed?

David I guess they catch each other for a number of factors. Primarily speed, better racing lines, wind direction maybe?
