    $650k annually is the top 25% of cardiothoracic surgeons. So not just any heart surgeon but the top 25%. Reminder those are likely much older men who have spent 14 years of school minimum. They'd be 32 if they spent their entire adult live in school and would be the lower side. Also as a med student myself I can tell you our shape is often not great as we neglect our own health for school. It's awful.

    17:41 men AND women publicly shamed her on the internet. Additionally, this isn't uncommon. It used to be heard of more often by men, but modern times show women doing it more often now. it doesn't even have to be fatal sickness. many women will quickly leave the relationship over even small sickness or accidents where the man needs some kind of short or long term care and/or rehabilitation.... OR if he should lose his job suddenly and even if it's for a short amount of time (like a couple of months). this is seen very commonly in Couple Counseling.

Had a job making 30 bucks an hour (which is still barely a life) and i was there 15-20 minutes early, every day, worked Saturdays, gave it my all. Health fucked off, couldn't do it any more, found a job where I get paid half that. My time is my time. I don't answer calls off the clock, and only cover shifts if it's convenient to me. I'm there on time and leave on time. They get what they pay for, and I value MY personal time with my family and my projects at more than what they're willing to pay.

    @@Eledorewhy would they do that? Employers aren't obligated to pay you extra for staying longer if it's not going to be overtime, and while it's certainly a feel-good statement it kinda makes no sense. If you're staying late to make up for other lost time previously or for projects you are behind on through no fault of the company, that's on you. If you're staying for non-overtime hours, I would think you would discuss that with your boss before ever agreeing to it. And if it's for overtime pay, well, you're getting overtime pay. If you're just opting to work 2 extra hours on your own and then demand extra on top, unless your work during that time is just spectacular, there is basically no reason for them to do anything except give thanks and appreciation. Logically speaking I don't know why they would do anything else without the right appeals.

    @@JonathanScarlet "aren't obligated to pay you extra" ? If i order 4t of gravel and i use 5t i don't need to pay for the additional ton? If you work time, that that time needs to be payed. Called hourly wage. If i work more time then agreed upon i need to be compensated. Called overtime payment. Otherwise the agreed upon hours should not have been agreed upon. Or discussed or amended before changes to it made. But there are pIdiots (Professional Idiots) out there who don't understand this reverse responsibility and demand you finish this or do that outside of agreed upon times. And don't compensate anymore then just the hourly wage. It even gets worse with salaried people who don't get there hours tracked properly. If the owner doesn't want me working overtime, he should then not make a stink when employee leaves on time. Or if owner doesn't like that, there is always contracting where you pay per project finished. But the amount of time i have to slap restaurants owners for not clocking in people who arrive at there mandatory 10 minutes early. You want them 10 minutes early, you pay for that or you compensate them. (Most opt to compensate it globally with free drinks). And that is just one thing i come across when auditing them on legal compliance. (Advice; Write every compensation down)

    On the teeth thing. We used to have a very powerful jaw/bite. But you need very powerful muscles to bite and kill. Since our diet was not primarily meat, and after the discovery of fire to cook, the needed force in the jaw got diminished over time, which made the muscles that help you bite (which compress the brain as they need big anchor points) get smaller. All the pressure released over time on the skull, allowed the skull to expand and allowed to have a bigger brain. We still have canines, but they have receded in size, so they are puny now. But our close relatives still have them and we can see how big they are on them. However, we have always been omnivores, just that meat wasnt our primary source of food.

    This comment sounds like a vegan talk, yet at the same time points out humans were always omnivores and yet still mentions chimpanzees (closest relatives) that are known for their high meat diet (they actively hunt prey from their territory until it goes extinct in the area and then wait for it to repopulate back into the land to do it again) with lots of opportunistic tendencies for other type of food. I am quite confused about the point.

    Disagree. It is widely believed that we were originally meat eaters that adapted to incorporate plants in our diet. This is backed by the theory that our appendix was used in the digestion of raw meat.

  • @joost1120

    @joost1120

    It is precisely because we eat so much meat that our jaws got weaker. Our intelligence, tool use and the ability to cook our food allowed us to gain significantly more energy rich food, which in turn allowed us to get even smarter. We didn't use our jaws as a weapon like many other carnivores or omnivores do, so there's no reason to actually have powerful jaws. Brains require way more energy than most people think, and we would not have been able to sustain or increase our brain mass if we didn't eat so much meat. If I recall correctly, humans spend about 25% of their daily energy on just their brains alone, while smart primates barely even reach 10%. By your logic, weak jaws would be a sign of a herbivorous animal. Which isn't true in the slightest, as many animals with a mostly plant-based diet have very strong jaws. Take brown bears for example. Almost 90% of their food intake is plant-based, yet they have very large canines and a powerful bite. Even if we just look at primates, most primates with strong jaws and canines have a primarily plant- or fruit-based diet.

    Ever since I switched to the carnivore diet from my omnivore diet, all I have eaten is bacon and eggs for breakfast and either a rib eye steak or ground beef for dinner. That and water and salt is all I consume. Since my switch 6 months ago, I have lost 30 pounds of fat, but gained 10 pounds of muscle. My I.B.S. is gone and I no longer have arthritis in my hands. Check out Dr Shawn Baker and Dr Anthony Chaffee on youtube and check out the science behind how Carnivore or Ketovore is the proper human diet. Also check out Ken D Berry M.D. who actually describes full Carnivore as the Proper Human Diet.

    No. Welfare means it is institutionalized, meaning a program will be created that will never go away and it will be massively bloated and heavily abused. I bought my house when I was 22 and working as a delivery driver at Domino's. I had been renting for 3 years and the only way I could get approval was to have it written up as a refinance on a land contract I had been paying on for 3 years instead. The bank rep is actually the one that told me to do this. There is no way I could have gotten approval otherwise. This is stupid because my mortgage with taxes and insurance was $65 a month less than what I was already paying and I had been working at the same job for 5 years, but the bank turned me down for a regular mortgage.

But those who are doomed by it, deserve someone to be there for them and give them some love until they can finally sleep after they either cry, scream, punch, or all the above - thier life out with all their might so they can sleep that night and start the harsh recovery after day 1...
