@@themike101 NANDI!!! The feel good story of a dark 2020! I just love how it showcases how decent a dude Grohl truly is... she rocks, but we all know she's got a long way to go to fill Taylor's seat. I've never even been a Foo Fighter "fan", I have nothing against foo and wonder why people feel they should battle with foo. Forever a fan of Grohl though. Sound City the documentary was awesome too, highly suggested if you like older Rock (Buckingham Nicks?).

This is so much more than just killing it really. This is killing it with respect. He’s not trying to steal the show, he brings it in places where bringing it is called for and backs off and keeps time otherwise while following the front man (Dave)’s lead at all times. That is a musician!

Speaking of Foo Fighters letting fans play on stage, I highly recommend you check out the video where Nandi Bushell crushed in on the drums. I think you'll enjoy it as well, potentially.

^^^ I came to the comments for this. ^^^ This adorable little girl with an electric smile named *Nandi Bushell plays "Everlong"* - a _very_ intense song on the drums - and is simply phenomenal. Dave and Taylor (RIP) are legitimately impressed. It's amazing how much power she has. Oh yeah, and it's *at **_The Forum_* - one of the most iconic music venues in existence. No pressure. There are a few different videos of it here, from different audience members and also offstage. I always liked them but wasn't a huge fan til several years ago but they did so much cool stuff during the pandemic I got hooked. Saw them live in Atlanta last October and I was so excited to see them again ...had tix for 2 shows...got my refunds yesterday😥

I've always thought Dave was just the coolest dude on the planet then started seeing more and more of Taylor and truly thought they were brothers, LOL! I guess they considered themselves as such. This must be devastating. Side note; did you see Dave on Hot Ones? So great.

There's an interview with the doctor that came out of the audience to hold his bone in place while he finished the show... that's a true performer!

I'm not a big fan of this band, but they seem to be great people and I love that they give fans a chance to have this unforgettable moment. This guy did an amazing job. Playing on front of so many people, when you're not used to it and have all the attention on you must be nerve wrecking. And even though he is obviously a great drummer, he didn't play to impress, but to do the best for the song. Greetings from Germany

By all accounts Dave and the guys are some of the most down to earth, genuine, and personable people in the industry. If you look, you'll find story after story of them interacting with fans, strangers, and even protestors in the best, coolest, most professional, and compassionate ways. They're among the best of us. If there comes a point where humanity is tasked with sending delegation to represent us on an intergalactic council, I'd nominate the Foo Fighters in heartbeat. ❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘

Omg I had not seen this the pride I have for him is overwhelming. He killed it. He lived his best dream. The goosebumps and tingles were real. A nice massive serotonin boost. So thanks sir. It was very much needed. Takecare and regards.

In my city Brighton, there was a legendary surprise show. It was a Foo Fighters tribute band, but what the audience weren't prepared for, is that Dave Grohl would actually be there to rock with the band.

That is who Dave Grohl and the whole band by everything I've ever seen or read seem to be; just genuine, caring, and good people.

My thoughts exactly.. Dave is creating lifelong memories for these folks and it just shows how awesome the Foo Fighters are. U can see it in Dave's eyes when he finds talented people..he looks like a proud dad! Merry Christmas

You 150% need to watch "Kiss Guy plays Monkeywrench" Dave Grohl "The lead singer" LOSES his mind over how good "Kiss Guy" Is. It is my go to Feel good video. I watch it every few months. The Foo Fighters would do this at almost all of their live shows. They are very well known for bringing fans on stage to replace band members. Typically Dave's Guitar and Taylor's drums.

@@DrBonely I loved following the whole drum battle that Dave and Nandi did. She is an amazing drummer, not even JUST for her age, just, she is GOOD. Period. I loved seeing the culmination of her joining them on stage. So wholesome and lovely. I am so sad that the death of Taylor is probably the end of Dave in Music. He has said before, Without Taylor, he can't and doesn't want to make music.

He told Dave during the set when they were talking, that he knows ALL of their songs.

Hearing Dave say "Where's Taylor" just hits so different now than it would have 2 months ago 🥺 RIP 🙏 He was such an amazing Talent.

The Foo Fighters frequently have pulled people on stage to play various instruments. One of my friends saw them 5 times and said they did it 4 times. There are a few other groups that do this as well. My son got called on stage ten years ago to play drums with Fred LeBlanc. Pretty cool, and he got a couple of his drum sticks!

Dave Grohl is a great dude. He always let's fans come up and play. You could actually make a series on this. There are a bunch of videos where fans play with the Foos.

It’s always rad when it happens, cause who doesn’t want to play live with their favorite band; but the whole pulling someone from the crowd to play, has actually been happening for a while. Though, I have no idea who was the first to do it.

"foo fighters is made up of everyone nirvana used to play with" umm, where's krist novoselic then.. apart from the studio version of "i should have know" and some joining in on a handful of live performances.. there were more people from "sunny day real estate" that joined foo fighters for their touring such as but william goldsmith got kicked out of foo fighters pretty damn fast considering he didnt get along with dave.. franz stahl from dave's earlier band "scream" was helping out during some live shows since pat smear had planned on leaving the group... didnt help much though since franz with only having contributed a small amount for their third album. and then we have pat smear who was in a band called "germs"/"the germs". so two people, franz stahl from grohls old band "scream" and pat smear helped out on nirvana's unplugged session or mtv. people who had little to do with nirvana really, other than knowing grohl. so foo fighters is made up of old nirvana members? no, just dave grohl who was forced to recruit some old friends from the 80's punk+hardcore bands a mid 90's emo band. now, assume i am willing to even if we chose to ignore all i just wrote in my little rant. that still only leaves us with dave grohl who came from nirvana to start a new band and he switched from being nirvana's drummer to become foo's main focus of the band since was now doing most of the stuff.. recording the individual instrumental tracks. ------------------------------ RANT (finally) OVER -----------------------------

The fact that they do this regularly makes me wonder if any of the musicians they've had join them on stage have ever gone on to play with anyone else.
